I love this story. It was so well-written. The pacing is perfect and the character development is inspiring. This is a golden star example of cozy fantasy. I would gladly recommend this to my students, my friends, my family. I cannot wait to read the next installment.

I absolutely enjoyed every minute of this book. It was well written, and I couldn't put it down. A fantasy with secret royal fae...who could ask for more. I loved the world building and the characters. I highly recommend this to the fantasy readers out there. I can't wait for more from this author.
Thank you Net Galley, Velikor Publishing, and Jenny Sandiford

This book is certainly a different story to read it’ is about Elsie and kit who are almost mortal it is full of magic romance and heartache along with witches faes and magical healers it’s a book you pick up and can’t put down as it gets so intriguing as you read

‘Winterfrost Market’ is an adventure, cosy-fantasy that follows a tea-seller trying to find her mother and a fae prince escaping his tyrancal father who takes a chance on helping the young woman.
I enjoyed the concept and the cosy elements of this novel. Being in locations like the market or the tavern felt really interesting and ‘cosy’. The characters were fun and I liked their love-hate situation, especially since a dog was involved in the meet cute.
I would just say that the cosy took away from the fantasy. There was next to no world building and it made the journey seem placid at points. I think I would have been more engaged with the novel if the setting and politics had been developed more.
Thank you to #netgalley for this ARC of #winterfrostmarket

Winterfrost market is a cutesy romance for the evenings where you need a cosy romance without high stakes. The romance is dislike to lovers and I enjoyed seeing them fall in love after disliking each other. I also really liked how the dog was also a cute addition to the book and their relationship. Also, the side characters were very cute and a good addition to the story.

- When I hear the words “winterfrost market”, I imagine a holiday market at a small snow-covered village - very cozy, very cute vibes. This story has that, plus an interesting storyline that involves searching for family, tea, and a fae prince in disguise. I loved Elsie’s personality - she would do anything to find her mother - even going on an adventure with a stranger to a mystical place that is home to fae and other interesting creatures. Her budding relationship with Kit was sweet - I loved their dynamics, even though Kit kind of betrayed her for not telling her a secret (I guess for good reason though).
However I do have a couple small gripes with the story. I imagine that a setting like this would be open to a lot of worldbuilding, but there was little of it throughout. I would have also loved hearing the reason how Elsie’s mother got into the situation she was in - it would have been interesting to hear. Overall, a good, quick read tale that reminds me of the holidays - a warm cup of tea included.

Winterfrost Market is a cozy, closed-door romantasy by Jenny Sandiford perfect for the winter season. The picturesque towns of Winterfrost and Midwinter Haven are the quintessential settings for this holiday-themed story, beautifully creating the Christmas spirit atmosphere.
Elise and her family run a tea shop in the cozy town of Winterfrost. But when her mom goes missing up in the northern Fae territories while seeking one of the secret ingredients for their prize-winning tea blend, Elise is determined to discover what happened and bring her back home, no matter what the danger. She sets off with Kit, a tracker who's also headed up to the northern Fae realms. While he doesn't claim to be Fae, Elise has her suspicions after spending a few days on the road with him. But can she keep her feelings in check long enough to find out the truth, both about her mother and Kit?
This was a charming, heartwarming adventure, perfect for the holiday season, and a delight to read. I really enjoyed all the characters (even the nasty ones), and the developing "should they or shouldn't they" attraction between Elise and Kit had me rooting for them all the way! There's no spice here, so readers looking for SJM-spicy romantasy may want to look elsewhere. But lest your palate become sensitized to all that spiciness, I'd definitely recommend taking a breather with this one, particularly for the holiday season.

Winterfrost Market is about Elsie, a girl trying to run her family's tea shop in the bustling Winterfrost Market after her mother's disappearance. When Kit, an injured fae comes to town who may have answers, the two end up going on a journey to the remote Midwinter Haven to try to heal Kit and find Elise's mother.
A lovely winter read, had all the right vibes for the cold times of year. The atmosphere is wonderful, and the light, cozy vibes create an immersive experience that kept me engaged.
I reccomend you read this if you like romantic cozy winter vibes.
Thank you to the publisher and Net galley for the ARC!

Winterfrost Market is about Elsie, a girl trying to run her family's tea shop in the bustling Winterfrost Market after her mother's disappearance. When Kit, an injured (and disguised) (and hot) (both in the disguise and in general) fae comes to town who may have answers. The two end up going on a journey to the remote Midwinter Haven to try to heal Kit and find Elise's mother.
I had such a lovely time with this book! It's billed as cozy fantasy but that doesn't mean that it didn't have stakes or bad things that happened. I think this novel hit such a nice balance of coziness, winter atmosphere, romance, while still having a plot. I liked Elsie, Kit, the general world, and the magic system. This book had also one of my favorite things, yearning!!! Spice levels are low but the yearning is high. I'm more team yearning than team spice so this made me happy.
I kiiiiind of wish that it had been a bit more about the actual Winterfrost Market, like the comings and goings, customers, stock, etc, than was in this book, but I'll take what we got! I see that this is the first of hopefully a series, which I will definitely be reading more of!
Highly recommend this book if you want something wintery, lovely, and cozy. 4.5 stars rounded up to 5 from me! Thank you to Velikor Publishing and NetGalley for the eARC, my thoughts are my own!

I love love loved this book!!
It was so cute, whimsical and just the perfect vibe!
I need a follow up with Elsie owning and running the tea shop!

thanks to netgalley for providing me an e-arc in exchange for a review!
oh this was a lovely winter read, had all the right vibes for the cold times of year. elsie and kit are our main characters, who are at first using each other a bit to reach their personal goals but then create a sweet relationship and i was able to root for them the whole time. this also had a secret identity trope which i thought was well done and added a lot to the story. very cute!

This cozy wintery fantasy reminds me of Christmas movies, with a bit more magic and tasty food.
I enjoyed this standalone, set in a universe featuring fae, elves, witches, humans, vampires, and even werewolves. The story is the first installment in the Tales of Midwinter Haven series, although each volume can be read independently. I’d be curious to explore future stories as I feel there is a lot left to explore.
I had no trouble visualizing the snowy landscapes and charming markets selling candies and hot beverages. I even found myself salivating in bed late at night.
The love story is fast-paced because it only spans a few days, so that makes sense. While I typically prefer slow-burn romances, I knew what I was getting into, and the characters grew on me with their dreams and insecurities. Getting their points of view certainly helped me connect with them.
Elsie dreams of a stable home, but her loyalty is first and foremost to her family, whom she loves more than anything. So it’s no surprise when she decides to risk her safety by venturing into the unknown to rescue her missing mother. Elsie is the kind of character who is easy to like, thanks to her moral compass and strong instincts.
Kit is momentarily “mysterious” to the readers because he quickly reveals his secret to us. I won’t spoil anything about his character, but I’ll just say that in some ways, he’s the opposite of Elsie…
To sum up, Winterfrost Market is the perfect read for a cold day with a hot cup of tea.
Thank you Netgalley for this ARC !

"The Winterfrost Market," by Jenni Sandiford, is a charming read that perfectly captures winter's cozy, enchanting magic. Set against a beautifully crafted wintry backdrop, this novel is an ideal companion for anyone looking to indulge in a warm story during the cold days of winter (especially here in Canada).
The atmosphere is wonderfully inviting, and the light, cozy vibes create an immersive experience that kept me engaged. However, I did find that the post-action ending had quite a bit of follow-up, which left me anticipating a twist or a darker turn of events. While the resolution was satisfying, part of me couldn't help but wish for a little more tension or drama to spice things up.
Overall, "The Winterfrost Market" is a heartwarming read that I would highly recommend to anyone in the mood for a cozy winter escape. It strikes a lovely balance between action and a gentle, feel-good story—making it a perfect holiday read!

Thank you #netgalley for allowing me access to read this book.
If you’re looking for a book that wraps you in a warm, magical hug this winter, Winterfrost Market by Jenny Sandiford is the perfect pick. This enchanting tale is set in a cozy winter wonderland brimming with festive cheer and a dash of mystery. Follow Elsie, a tea-loving protagonist with a heart full of hope, as she navigates the magical Winterfrost Market to find her missing mother.
Joined by the dashing and mysterious tracker named Kit, Elsie's journey is filled with unexpected magic and heartwarming moments that will keep you turning the pages. The story beautifully captures the essence of the winter holiday season, with the addition of romance, adventure, and the irresistible charm of a fairytale.

I enjoyed this cozy fantasy with a winter theme. Perfect to read as I sit here and watch the snow fall. I really enjoyed getting to know the world of Midwinter Heaven from the characters to the magical shops. I love books with a strong sense of place and this fit the bill along with a little romance and cute dog.

Talk about a cozy read! I read this during my Christmas break and loved the curled-up-with-tea-and-a-book-cozy feeling it gave off. This was an instance where the cover really reflected the story and the feelings it evoked. I would rate it one star higher if only the world building was expanded upon a bit more. I think more depth could have been added through that alone, as well as going a little bit deeper into the characters psyche and maybe pulling away from the cozy read just a tad. Overall, I loved the winter cozy feel and need more books like these out!

I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed this book, after having read some mixed reviews prior to picking it up.
I wanted to start 2025 off with a cozy fantasy read, that wasn’t too complicated or complex. I enjoyed the plot and the two main characters; If there’s a dog in a fantasy book they steal the show for me!
The writing was fairly simple and I did find that the jump from strangers to lovers happened a little too quickly, with less development than I usually like.
Overall though, this was a very sweet and light fantasy read; Perfect for a pick me up in the winter season!

Winterfrost Market is a great book for cozy winter evenings. I really enjoyed the build up of the relationship of Elsie and Kit and their journey together. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys fantasy books with romance, interesting magic and fae.

Thank you to NetGalley and Velikor Publishing for this ARC of the Winterfrost Market by Jenny Sandiford! I absolutely loved this book! I think most people will really enjoy this cozy fantasy romance with perfect winter vibes!
This book was such an easy read, definitely one that could be done in a single cozy evening in. I didn't want to put it down, in part because I was just truly immersed in the story. If anyone is looking for a fantasy book that feels like the author is bringing you right into the world, this is the one to pick! Jenny Sandiford did a brilliant job bringing her story to life. The writing is just so vivid!
It's my impression this book is a stand alone, (and it obviously can be read that way) so it's perfect for if you're looking for a fantasy book to read but not looking to get into a huge fantasy series. That being said if the author wrote more with this world or these characters I'd definitely be first in line to get that book.
That's really because the characters are wonderful in Winterfrost Market. Elsie and Kit have such a charming relationship and I really enjoyed both of them. Elsie is on a quest to find her lost mother, and she's got Kit, a fae prince in disguise, to help her. It's such a great dynamic made all the better by well-written characters whose personalities and motivations feel real. I have nothing but praise for the two of them. This book is dual-POV, going back and forth between Elsie and Kit, and I think that was a great choice for the pacing of this book!
This is a very sweet, clean romance, an entertaining adventure, an atmospheric fantasy, and the perfect winter-vibes read all rolled into one story and I enjoyed every minute. If you're looking for a book in any of those categories Winterfrost Market has to be your choice!

I really wanted to like this as it sounded like a perfect cozy read for winter and the author seems lovely. I just couldn’t get into a flow with the writing, I can’t put my finger on what it is exactly but I kept being jarred out of the story. This can happen when there are a lot of errors but that wasn’t the case here so perhaps the sentence structure wasn’t flowing enough or the style isn’t one i’m used to. Something wasnt working though and I couldn’t get lost in the story
