A wondrous little adventure in a magical wood. A fantasy feast for the eyes and imagination. I didn't realize based on the description that this was more of a picture book, but it was still an enjoyable reading experience.
I loved this very short story. To me its just a beautiful story. Seems like its a lore or something within that area. The illustrations are just colorful and very very beautiful.
I would love to read more books by this author.

A magical journey into a wonderfully colored forest rich in strange creatures. For me the charm of the tale was its use of language - short, descriptive texts but sensitively chosen and playfully placed words. I'm not a fan of transforming real photos into paintings. I did not like the style of the female protagonist's face (I saw that face too many times in cheap AI generated images). But I loved everything else: the overall atmosphere (pun intended), the coloring (especially the twilight red ones), the lights, the tiny cute creatures with big eyes (but considering their similarities, these seemed as if they were AI generated).
Thanks to the creators and Netgalley for the advanced reading copy.
Thank you R. Kwinn, Dan Ruja, Netgalley and Atmosphere Press for this free ARC in exchange for a review.
This book was whimsical, but rather short, lacking in plot and ultimately doesn't have much purpose.
