I dived into this immediately after finishing Discouri and I think I love this one even more if thats possible!!
Teddy's character development is absolutely precious and I love how she grew into a different version. And her grandma was amazing, so sassy and badass just as Teddy is!
This book had so many twists and turns and it kept me on my toes, I finished this in one day because it was so good I couldn't put it down!! The writing style in this book is just so fun and easy to read and really ties everything together.
100% would recommend this book!
Thank you Netgalley and the publisher as well as the author for an advanced reader copy.
This marks the third installment in The Infernal Artifacts Collection, but Ralynn assures readers that it can be enjoyed in any sequence.
Theodora Sharpe is a remarkable child prodigy whose journey we follow from her teenage years into young adulthood. Her character development was so amazing.
She begins as a spoiled child, but as events unfold, she is compelled to grow and mature. Along the way, she must also face her past, which plays a crucial role in shaping her character.
She is beautifully flawed and relatable. The narrative of her life is nothing short of extraordinary, with numerous moments crafted so skillfully that you can genuinely feel the emotions they convey. There’s joy, sorrow, betrayal, banter, and unexpected twists. And the ending? I’m still buzzing with excitement about it!
This collection just keeps getting better!
The background coming from the previous novels in this collection made this one have that extra reader satisfaction that we all crave from a series.
"Teddy" is not your typical teenage girl - a child genius and prodigy of Dorothea Sharp (the incredible woman who pretty much saved the world), she is thrust into a world of secret agents, demons and of course facing the consequences of her Grandmothers deal with death to save her life.
The infernal artifact, Death's Scythe, is once again the focus. The mystery and suspense of this artifact is so well written. You are immediately drawn to the power and relevance of its background alone.
Ralynn has once again created a complicated world and plot that is easy to understand yet keeps you wanting more with every page.
Easy 4 star rating from me.
I had the amazing opportunity of beta reading this book for Ralynn Kimie and the ending! I was NOT expecting that. I didn't like Teddy much as a character (view spoiler) Teddy does have an eating disorder, so if that's a trigger for you, I would read with caution! She focuses on her body and her appearance a lot. She takes a little while to get comfortable in her own, but it's still pretty apparent. I did like this, only because I'm glad it wasn't overshadowed by the other things she goes through. EDs are a constant struggle and it's not something that's fixed overnight. So I do like that she didn't suddenly love herself by the end of the book and I can't wait to see how she grows over the series!
This is Ralynn Kimie's first book with a female protagonist though and I think she did great! I also loved the brewing slow burn romance. There's a few time jumps at the end, so I'm hoping in the next Angel of Death book we'll have a little more on if there's been any development here! I have noticed Ralynn tends to shy away from romances in her work and as an aro ace myself I don't typically care to read it but I love the way she included it without it taking away from the story and I hope to see something progress between them in the series!
The ending though was... WHAT?!
I need the next book!!
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC!
The world building was enthralling but I think a bit more back story would have helped bring me into the world and characters a bit more! However, it was easy to follow along with. The character development was good, but I found a bit of immaturity from the FMC.
This was a decent read overall though!
I really liked the story for this book as it was something I hadn't really read before. My only dislike was at the end it didn't really seem to go anywhere and a bit anticlimactic. You know by the story there will be more, but more of a cliffhanger would have left me wanting more
This was a strong third entry in the Infernal Artifacts Collection series, it had that concept that worked overall. I enjoyed that each part of the story was different from the other and enjoyed how good everything worked overall. Ralynn Kimie wrote a strong story and was glad I got to read this.
Like all the other books in this collection, it didn’t take long for me to be completely immersed. It started off with an amazing prologue that left me wanting to know how that tied into the rest of the book. I’ll be honest, at first I didn’t care much for the character of Teddy. Luckily as the story progressed so did she as a character. Also whatever’s going on between Teddy and Sam I’m so here for! Hope that turns into something more! This book then ended with a fantastic epilogue with a big tie into a previous book from the collection. Once again I absolutely cannot wait to see where this series and collection as a whole goes!
Great book!!! Wasn't sure what to expect at first, I really disliked Teddy at the start but grew to like and understand her. I liked Sam right away and although the book. Good story and I'd definitely read another book from this author I liked how this was written and kept me engaged

Bloody Brilliant!
It has become a habit to regret not reading Raye’s books sooner. Can I just say, she will never cease to amaze me. The way she writes a novel filled with history, action and so many emotions and lessons is simply incredible. While I was not a fan of Teddy when I first began reading the novel, I quickly grew to appreciate her. Her growth throughout the novel was beautiful and even when she reverted back and made mistakes, she managed to create a connection. Berry was simply fantastic and hello, plot twist! I cannot wait to continue learning more about him and that EPILOGUE!!! Raye you were right, I loved it! I need more IAC! A rollercoaster of a novel that is sure to satisfy every fantasy and paranormal lover with a small hint of romance! Love it!
𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲: Thank you Raye for having me as an ARC reader and including me in your acknowledgments, it has been incredible getting to know you as an author and a friend!
