Thank you to Kathryn Kincaid, and Netgalley for letting me read the ARC of this book.
The romance was fast paced, but the character development was slow. I enjoyed that there was psychoeducation surrounding BPII, but I felt it was a very surface level explanation and medication for it isn’t as magical in the book. The medication often shortens lifespan and numbs people out. There were a few editing errors, but for an ARC is to be expected, I enjoyed the acknowledgement of the side effects of a lessened libido on medications, felt so heard.
The family relationship had me screaming internally, because it was SO REAL AND RAW. I am so happy there is books with more mental health rep, especially romance. I wish I had these available when I was in high school.
“I’m never going to be easy to love. It’s always going to be hard!” UGHHHHH, I felt for her and commended the bravery in giving the choice to him. I love me a hockey romance and this was an easy, heartwarming read.

⭐️ 4/5

This book had me genuinely surprised. The cover wasn't quite my vibe, but figured it sounded alright. Plus I was doing NHL November on my socials so had to stay in theme.

Ice hockey MMC with a sense of playfullness and humour meets a serious, scheduled, formal FMC.

Finley and Zack were so sweet for one another. Finkey cared for Zack in such a njrturing manner and Zack was an emotional support rod for Finley while dealing with her sport, life and family.

Zach is a professional hockey player and Finley is a gymnast. Zack suffers a major concussion and is sidelined. Finley has had to take a step back from gymnastics but is now trying to make a comeback. As these two athletes work to regain their careers they develop a great connection. I love sports stories and it was great to follow these two resilient athletes. Their chemistry with each other was great! Overall an interesting romance book!

Another great one from Kincaid - I really enjoy her realistic characters with real-world issues and great levels of drama. She also does great spice!

Stick Your Landing features Finley, a very successful gymnast who was on a run up to the Olympic Games when she had to give everything up with a bipolar diagnosis… She is now away at college and back in training, behind her entire family’s backs. The only one who knows is Zach, her brother’s best friend and her long-time crush, who has a hard job keeping the secret from his best friend.

This is such a great storyline with a very strong lead character - teaching us a lot about Bipolar 1 and how many misconceptions most of us truly have about what a diagnosis means, and what a patient can actually do. The relationships between Finley, her family and Zach are all truly so interesting and fascinating to read.

I definitely recommend this one to everybody, especially with how important the message about mental health is. I also highly recommend the rest of the series!

Thank you to NetGalley and the Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for an early copy. This is my honest review.

First of all, I feel like I have been reading so many books lately that are set in the world of professional hockey! What I haven't read are many books set in gymnastics, so I was really excited about that. (Also I really love that early 00's movie Stick It, so I was hoping the book would be fierce in the same way).

I really liked this book. A lot. The characters were very realistic and the relationship had very real issues, versus the made up communication issues that romance books (and every single Hallmark movie) always seemed to feature until fairly recently. Zach is a pro hockey player who is coming into his own. Finley is a competitive gymnast who is fighting for a gymnastics comeback after a mental health setback.

Specifically- I loved the character of Finley. She has a diagnosis that complicates her life, but the book follows her as she fights fiercely to come back from a hard time to live her absolute best life. I really appreciated that fight in Finley, and how she was not afraid to put a lot of time and work in to make her health, her gymnastics and her independence all work out in her favor. We also get to watch her grow as she goes through the book. Zach is a real sweetheart of a guy and a great match for her.

This book is part of a series, and I got to know the other characters well enough to be excited to read the others as well. Thanks to Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for the digital ARC provided.

This books was really good! Brothers best friend, they’re both athletes, and great disability representation. The MMC has dyslexia and our FMC is Bipolar, while reading “Stick your Landing” both characters communicate so well with one another, being open about what they need and ensuring the other person is sure about how they feel. The books starts off strong with the spice, times it down for a bit and then brings it right back but doesn’t neglect character growth or plot while keeping the spice there. I will be reading more from this author in the future!

Oh how I loved this book :)

This is the third installment in the All in series, and I've read them all.
I really loved the first book which was a gem, and in completely different ways they're both my favourites.

Zach and Finley are so so cute, their relationship is based on friendship, mutual trust and drive.
I am in no position to judge how her bipolar disorder is represented in the novel but it felt genuine. It's a quite unusual theme for a romance, and for any story about sport really. It was really interesting.

The book isn't only about a romance, it's also about hard work, reevaluating your priorities every step of the way, family dynamics and how mental illness impacts your life and those of your loved ones.

As always, Kathryn Kincaid portraits so well her main characters and every secondary character has so much flesh, I hope those who haven't yet will get their own story very soon.

Zach and Finley will melt your heart, especially if you're into sport romance (would you be here if you weren't ??) and complex characters. There is some spice but not as much as you'd think after the first chapter (that's an opening :D)

I think this story's representation of mental health is among the best I've read in a long time. When you have these symptoms or a diagnosis like Finley's, you have to deal with changes in many aspects of your life, and I really liked that you recognized how much work it takes to go through those changes. I thought Briggs and Finley had a great relationship and were really supportive of one another. I absolutely liked this book and cannot wait to read more from Kathryn Kincaid.

Kathryn has slowly become one of those authors that writes a book I know I’ll love. She has a way of exposing us to sometimes delicate topics that are shown in a raw true yet positive light. I’ve really enjoyed everything from her and stick your landing fits perfectly with what I look for in a book. Absolutely recommend.

I think what has stuck with me the most was that both main characters were struggling with specific parts of themselves and how they were learning to break out of the boxes that people had put them in.This character growth was just phenomenal and so good to read. The chemistry between the two characters bubbles to the surface straight away and I love how they both think they are being so subtle but everyone knows! Mental health and mental abilities was another interesting aspect of the book. I loved the inclusion of characters from other books in the series, but you can read this as a standalone, and I can't wait to see what Kathryn does with this series next!

Big thanks to Netgalley, Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op and Kathryn Kincaid for a copy of this book. This is my honest review.

This was such a great book!! I really loved the bipolar rep, and seeing Finley’s thoughts throughout the book. I read another book this year with a bipolar MMC, and it was just really interesting to see how different authors have written their characters.

I absolutely LOVED the mental health and Bipolar representation. I grew up with a close family member who struggled with that and felt the author wrote it in such an honest way. Loved the sports side of this book as well and the relationship development of our FMC AND MMC.

Thanks NetGalley for the ARC!

Cute hockey romance. Very predictable, but both characters were likable (as were the supporting characters). Appreciated that both were athletes.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC!

4 stars

I loved the bipolar rep in this book with Finley. Watching her struggle initially and slowly finding out the whole backstory with her was heartbreaking. Watching her come into her own and move forward creating a life she wanted while still maintaining her health as much as she could while fighting for herself proves what a badass she is.

Zach, sweet Zach. His Dyslexia and how it skewed how he saw himself and how he felt others saw him was heartbreaking. He's a little bit of a himbo, but in the best way. He's like a himbo/golden retriever and that combination is so endearing. The way he blindly supported Finley while trying to also better himself is for sure book boyfriend goals.

The two of them having each other's backs no questions asked made them perfect for each other. This is my first Kathryn Kincaid book, but it won't be my last. The way she writes about these heavy topics with such care while also bringing light to them (I learned a lot about bipolar disorders) without making the weight of it crushing or feeling too clinical in the knowledge was so refreshing to read.

While their meet cute may not have been the best, it makes sense more and more as the book goes on. I also loved how the third act break up wasn't really a third act break up. More like a pause. Finley's family is kinda the worst and there's some arc and redeeming of them towards the end, but I'm not sure if it's enough in my eyes.

It's an easy read and I think my first gymnastics read. Thank you, NetGalley and Kathryn Kincaid for the ARC.

Thank you NetGalley and Victory Editing for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Wonderful story by Kincaid which although was a slightly heavier read, it had wonderful mental health representation throughout.

Filled with fun banter and personality, Finley and Zach were lovely to follow along with and for fans of a good hockey romance, you’ll love this one!

This was just perfect. Finley and Zach really just needed someone to love them for who they were. They were able to love each other for all of their flaws and parts they don't like about themselves. They stuck by each others side through everything and I love them.

I received an arc through netgalley.

Stick Your Landing is a cute and easy read. Zach was such a sweetheart and I loved how he was so awkward at times. That was a breath of fresh air. Finley was amazing and I loved how her mental health was addressed. The way she finally addressed her parents was needed.

These two were so adorable together and the chemistry between them was off the charts.

Thank you to NetGalley and Kathryn Kincaid for the opportunity to read an advanced copy.

There is so much that I want to say about this book. While I don’t happen to have bipolar disorder, I do have borderline personality disorder, and the experience I’ve had was very similar to Finley’s journey. Her relationships with the people around her felt so achingly familiar to me, especially her fears about always being too much for the person she loves to stay in her life long term. Finley’s struggles and experiences made me feel so seen, and I’m so glad that I’ve gotten to continue to read advance copies of the books in this series. I’m looking forward to whatever comes next, and I’ll finish with my favorite quote from this book: “When you love someone, putting them first isn’t a sacrifice.”

As a huge fan of hockey romance, I was super excited to dive into Stick Your Landing, and it definitely lived up to my expectations. The story centers around Zach, a pro hockey player, and Finley, a gymnast, who first meet two years earlier at a wedding. They have a brief, steamy encounter but don’t expect to see each other again—until Zach gets a concussion during a game and ends up recovering at his captain Matt’s house. That’s when Zach runs into Finley again—who turns out to be Matt’s younger sister.

Right from the start, the book is fast-paced, fun, and incredibly addictive. There’s an undeniable chemistry between Zach and Finley, and the forbidden romance adds some extra tension to their relationship. But it’s not just about the romance—this book also explores Finley’s journey after being diagnosed with bipolar II disorder. As she works to bring joy back into her life and worries that no one will ever want to commit to her because of her mental health, her connection with Zach helps her understand that she deserves love and happiness.

The characters in this story are so easy to root for, and the author does a fantastic job of making even the side characters feel important and lovable. The relationships feel real, and there’s a strong sense of warmth and support throughout the story.

That said, while the book is overall super enjoyable, I did feel like things moved a little too quickly after Zach and Finley got together. There were a few moments where the dialogue between them felt a bit forced or cheesy, which took me out of the story for a second. Thankfully, this didn’t last long, and the conclusion was satisfying and wrapped everything up nicely. But there were definitely times when I wished the author had slowed down a little and let things develop more naturally.

Overall, Stick Your Landing is a really fun, heartfelt read with great characters and an emotional core. It’s just a shame it didn’t always take its time to let the romance and character moments breathe a bit more.
