3.25/5 stars! If you're looking for a sweet, light holiday read, this book should hit the spot. Candace and Chase build a lovely friends-to-lovers tale across this book. The ploy was fun, but not overly developed. It works as a cozy read, but not one where you have to work for the happy ending.

This book was so cute and bubbly 🥰

Slow burn but with loads of tension and heating gazes, and when the burn happens it’s freaking awesome and hot hot hot

Chase is such a golden retriever, I love it and when he got the Christmas tree because of her 🫠

The banter and the comebacks were the cutest. I loved Miles and how he was like “yes gurl get that cake!” Lmao to have a gay best friend is the best

Cute! Not totally memorable but that’s pretty standard for holiday books although this one could’ve included some more holiday references! Where is the spirit?! If it was intended to be just a regular YA romance, then stick with that.

This was such a great holiday read for me!!! Chase is a cinnamoroll MMC for sure. This book made me smile and I love their meet-cute! It's not a deep book, but one of the better holiday romances I've read for sure. Their banter was great!

I devoured this book

When Chase asks for Candace's number on a receipt, she gives it without question. There's something between them, and Candace is smitten. Until she finds out that he didn't ask for HER number and she's not who he thinks she is. After setting things straight, she keeps him at a distance to protect herself. The problem is, he doesn't seem to want to let her go. And when he asks her to be her fake date as a work Christmas party so he can escape his toxic boss, she accepts. But as they start practicing their performance, Candace isn't so sure they're prentending.

When I tell you this book did things to me, I'm not even joking. It's been a while since I've read a romcom that felt like this - like a movie but better and not problematic. From the first "mixup" with the number, I knew I was going to love it. It's so funny and realistic that I fell in love. And then I got to know Chase and DAMN. This man has a way with words that had me blushing and looking away from the book to calm myself down several times in the book. If I'd been in Candace's situation, I probably would have fainted. I loved how thoughtful and sweet and respectful he was throughout the book, and also the fact that Candace didn't immediately fold and forced him to prove himself. It was adorable, intense, and excquisite. The plot twist was also surprising and I like that the characters talked it out. All in all, I absolutely adored this book.

I highly recommend if you want a funny, hot and addictive romcom for Christmas.

I usually absolutely love Heather Garvin, but I struggled through this one, and eventually ended up DNF'ing it. I can't quite pinpoint why it wasn't clicking for me I just felt a disconnect with the material, and eventually decided not to force my way through it.

I enjoyed every minute of this book. I was hooked early on, and I couldn't put it down. The author did an excellent job with characters and plotting. I thought this was a cute and fun holiday theme romance. I can't wait to read more from this author. I highly recommend this novel to other romance readers.

adorei a química do casal, adorei a escrita, mas o plot foi um bocado previsível demais, e não gostei do motivo do third act breakup (mas como durou pouco, não foi assim tão mau)

mas o Chase é absolutamente incrível 🤍

"When the Fake Snow Falls" by Heather Garvin is pure magic, and I adored every single moment of it! Heather’s writing is so immersive, and the way she brings her characters to life is unmatched. I feel so honored to have had the privilege of ARC reading her other books because each one has been a gem, but this one? It completely stole my heart. The romance, the emotions, and the holiday vibes were everything I could have hoped for. I absolutely loooooove Heather’s stories and can’t wait to read more!

Perfect start to the holiday reading season! This cutesy romance is out today! I love how realistic our FMC is with learning to trust. I also really love this witty cast of characters! Holiday vibes were immaculate, and it felt like a perfect Hallmark movie in my brain with spicy scenes and the occasional sarcastic jokes. Another great read Ms. Heather Garvin!

When the Fake Snow Falls is strangers to lovers steamy romance perfect for the winter weather or holiday season! This is my 7th (I think) read by Heather Garvin and if you haven’t checked her out yet, she is a must read!

Candace has all but sworn off dating when an off chance encounter at her local coffee shop reignites her interest. When the sexy businessman in the line ahead of her leaves a paper asking for his number she decides to take a chance.

Chase Mitchell is desperate for a date to his company Christmas gala. After last year’s disaster with his drunk boss he needs to steer clear and ensure he has a date so she gets the message.

Chase leaves a note for the cute barista at the coffee shop to give him her number and is just as surprised as Candace to find out they got their intentions crossed.

As they strike up a friendship, Chase convinces Candace to be his fake date for the Christmas party. Candace agrees even though she really does like him, she’s clearly not his type if he was interested in the barista.

Chase and Candace get to know each other leading up to the party so they can be convincing. What happens when the fake dating starts to feel real and the attraction and chemistry is hard to deny. Is Candace just a stand in for Chase or is she truly what he’s been looking for all along.

This is a steamy, seasonal, fake dating book. This is a 4 star for me and highly recommended to anyone looking for a quick romance read.

First off: love the title. It is what made me request the book and want to read it in the first place. I also enjoyed how it wasn't screaming Christmas in your face. It is a book that is perfect for November, December, or January, and is more of a winter read than just a holiday romance. This slow-burn was a SLOW BURN. I loved it and it kept me on the edge of the seat just waiting for a kiss. The banter was also phenomenal and just what I need when I want to relax with a nice winter read. I went into this not knowing how I would enjoy it and it delivered 10000%.
