One of my go-to authors, Juliana Smith, has done it again! This book was so cute—I was hooked from the very start. The characters were fantastic, and the fake dating trope was done perfectly. The banter was amazing and kept me smiling the whole way through. Highly recommend checking it out!

“I have never loved anyone the way I loved Madeline”

Guys having a main character with the same name as you is just so so special! I loved Cooper and Madeline so much and couldn’t get enough!

Madeline was a character that was so relatable, she made me feel seen. Easily my fav out of Juliana Smith’s characters!

And Cooper is so sweet and charming. Half pint and mini coop had my heart 🥰 I loved the non-dates and how Cooper took such great care of Madeline and the kiddos.

They truly made such a great couple that balanced each other out perfectly!

I haven’t read baggage claim yet but I absolutely will soon because I just love Juliana Smith’s writing so much! I am so close to finishing up her backlist! If you haven’t read any of her work yet, you def need to because she is the queen of rom coms.

A cute romance perfect for the holidays. I had so much fun reading it! Fake dating, single aunt, opposites-attract at a ski resort.

Snowed Under is such a heartwarming and emotional read! It follows Madeline, who suddenly finds herself as the main caregiver for her niece and nephew. She’s doing her best to juggle everything, but being a single parent is no joke—it’s exhausting and rewarding all at the same time. Madeline puts everyone else first, even if it means running on no sleep or rest. Then along comes Cooper Graves, who not only starts pursuing her but also helps her learn more about herself in the process.

What starts as fake dating turns into something so much more as Madeline and Cooper begin to trust each other and build a connection, even during the hard times.

This story really hit me in the feels, especially how it touched on letting someone new into your life and learning to trust them. I got teary-eyed a few times, and I absolutely loved seeing their relationship grow. The way everything unfolded felt so real and heartfelt, and it brought up a lot of important stuff in such a thoughtful way.

Thank you NetGalley for this advance copy.

I read and really enjoyed 𝘽𝙖𝙜𝙜𝙖𝙜𝙚 𝘾𝙡𝙖𝙞𝙢 by this author a couple years ago. Unfortunately I didn't like this one as much but I liked it enough to finish. I felt like this one was way longer than it needed to be and I caught myself skimming Madeline and Cooper's conversations toward the end as they really started to feel repetitive. Some of the plot felt a little overdone as well, like baby Piper getting sick not one, but two times and Coop having to come to the rescue. Those things aside, fake dating is one of my favorite tropes so I enjoyed that aspect.

Snowed Under was a bit of a mixed bag. The beginning was slow, and It took me a while to like the MMC. I began to enjoy the story once the actual "fake dates" started. I would have liked this more if there was more focus on the romance and characters. I am a character-driven reader, and for a book where not much happens, there was a ton of focus on a plot that didn't even matter. I think the plot setup led me to believe that the story would go in a different direction. I wanted more ski lodge interactions with the MMC's family and more tension in saving the resort.

Really enjoyed this one! I actually didn't read book one...yet! But I didn't feel that it took anything away from this story. Could definitely be read as a stand alone in my opinion.

I loved the ski lodge setting, the snowy mountains and the winter vibes. I loved the main characters and the way they were there for each other. The chemistry was pretty undeniable and they seemed to bring out the best in each other right from the beginning. I loved the way Madeline stepped up as not only an Aunt but a guardian to her brother's kids. And Cooper with those kids was the sweetest thing!

A great read for me and I recommend picking it up!

This one really got me right in the feels. If you love an easy to read romance that puts you through all the emotions then ADD THIS TO YOUR TBR ASAP!

I’m a bit of a sucker when it comes to a snow romance and the tropes in this really hit all the right spots:
-fake dating
-found family
-witty banter
-loveable characters
-single Mum (/Aunt - if you get it you get it)
-cute ski instructor

I devoured this in a day and will now be running 🏃 to read Smith’s other works !

This ARC was a gifted copy provided by Victory Editing - thank you so so much team - what a read!

These thoughts and opinions are wholly my own.

I adored this book. Madeline was a strong FMC, and Cooper was an adorable MMC. I was rooting for them throughout their non-dates, but then the major events in the last few chapters had me tearing up and falling in love with these characters even more.

I will note that there were some formatting issues in this book -- it almost felt like chapter 27 was in the wrong spot entirely? I went back and reviewed it because chapter 26 was a very pivotal, emotional moment between Cooper and Madeline, then it was interjected by chapter 27 in a different place/time and then chapter 28 picked back up where chapter 26 was. All three chapters were really good, but it gave me pause. It didn't detract from my feelings on the book as a whole, though. *I did read this from an ARC via Netgalley, so that may have been addressed in the final publication!

My rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Overview:
Madeline has been lost ever since her brother passed away, she took over full parental responsibilities of her niece and nephew, and is navigating all the things life is throwing at her. Cooper, also dealing with grief after the loss of his beloved grandfather, is trying to navigate saving his family’s ski lodge. After meeting in the silliest meet-cute at the end of her nephew’s ski lesson, they come to a conclusion that fake dating could solve both of their issues… and what could go wrong if feelings aren’t involved, right?!

My thoughts:
Cooper was so charming and his persistence on being there with and for Madeline when no one else was really in her corner was his best quality! I also loved the relationship and found family between Madeline and Mini Coop and Half Pint—she was their rock and it showed! Definitely suggest Snowed Under if you’re looking for a quick, light-hearted, but emotional wintery read with good banter, funny moments, and a guy who falls first!

NOW THIS IS WHAT I WANT IN A CHRISTMAS BOOK!!!!
This was everything to me, i just knew I’d love it since I loved baggage claim but cooper really exceeded my expectations. He was the perfect golden retriever boyfriend and I haven’t stopped swooning over him since i put the book down. Madeline my angel :((( i just wanted to squeeze her and tell her she’s doing everything right I adored the both of them together and you could tell they balanced each other out. The kids as well were so funny in this and added to the story perfectly.
Basically Juliana Smith has done it again !!!

Cute, cozy vibes. Closed door romance. I’ve been loving Juliana Smith this year but Snowed Under wasn’t my favorite. The tropes were good, it just seemed like we didn’t FEEL with the characters.

Cooper is a ski instructor at his family’s lodge in Aspen and Madeline is a housekeeper at the lodge. They bump into each other because her nephew is taking ski lessons from Cooper. Cooper has an opportunity to help save his family’s lodge that involves fake dating Madeline. Madeline and Cooper both have personal struggles that they are dealing with but Cooper is the sweetest and is always making sure Madeline feels seen and valued. If you love fake dating, a snowy ski lodge setting and a cinnamon roll MMC, definitely check out this book.

3.5 stars
I found Juliana Smith this year & she has quickly become a favorite romance author for me. I appreciate that her books are sweet & swoony but are also closed door. I read the Aspen Peaks series a bit out of order & read this one first but you can read Baggage Claim or Snowed Under on their own as well if you choose. Though this wasn’t my favorite of her books it was still a sweet & wholesome romance to get me in the holiday spirit. I liked the ski resort setting & Cooper was quite swoon worthy. I liked Madeline as the fmc & her journey of growing confident in herself as a caregiver. One thing I didn’t like as much with this book was instead of reading about what they did or the dialogue it was more a “and we did this…and this happened…and he said this” which i think disconnected me a little bit from their relationship. I guess with a romance I just prefer to read the actual scenes play out between the couple.
Overall this was a nice & lighthearted romance that gave a perfect Christmas setting for the holiday time. If you are looking for something easy to read & sweet for the season this is the perfect read for you! Thank you Heartbreaker Pr for sending me this arc!

OHHHHHH MY HEART.

Juliana has a beautiful way of writing deeply authentic and relatable characters while also holding that fictional gaze that keeps you pulled away from the real struggles in your own life.

As a single mom, any single parenting story really is a meaningful to me and Juliana did an amazing job at portraying the struggles, the highs and the demons that follow from the past in our MCs. It didn’t feel too down, but was still authentic and i adored that.

I loved the pining. our MC was DOWN BAD, and i loved his POV chapters because you really saw how much he hoped that the entire “fake dating” scheme would turn real.

I really adored the link that ended up being shown between our FMC and MCs mom. It was sweet and just added to the overall enjoyment.

I LOVED the kiddos here. They truly added so much to the story.. they were witty, funny and just the bond they shared was beautiful.

You’ll find fake dating, opposites attract, single parent/guardian, workplace romance & NO THIRD ACT BREAKUP (which we love).

This was such a fun, enjoyable holiday romcom. Def recommend! Haven’t read one by Juliana Smith i didn’t love!
