This heartwarming winter romance is full of lovable characters and tender moments. Cooper, the goofy ski instructor with golden retriever vibes, brings a lighthearted charm to the story, while Madeline, a single aunt caring for her niece and nephew, showcases resilience and strength. The kids steal the show, adding warmth and depth as Cooper becomes a father figure to them. Their bond with him and Madeline was touching and brought me to tears during that scene.
Cooper and Madeline’s relationship is sweet, and Cooper’s character growth is a highlight. However, I wished we saw more of their “get to know you” conversations instead of just hearing they happened, as it would have deepened their connection.
While the fake dating trope felt unnecessary, the found-family dynamic and serious undertones balanced perfectly with fun moments. Overall, this wholesome romance warmed my heart—an ideal winter read full of love and growth.

What a beautiful story filled with sizzling romance and witty banter. I absolutely loved this book. Both of our main characters are so well-developed and have so much going on in their lives. I really enjoyed Madeline and seeing how she grew throughout the story. To sum it up, this beautiful book is about a woman who is willing to sacrifice anything for the ones she loves but is faced with so many responsibilities that she loses herself in the midst of it all. Then Coop comes along and helps her on her journey of self-discovery. Coop has to be my favorite MMC written by Julianna! He was literally perfect. This book had me crying, giggling, and wishing that a Coop Graves actually exists. Another amazing book by Julianna Smith. She never fails to deliver.!

Thank you NetGalley, Julianna Smith, and Victory Editing for providing me with an ARC copy of Snowed Under - in exchange for my honest opinion and review.
This is not my first read from Julianna, so I was not surprised to once again be reading a genuine, wholesome and feel good romance that was perfect for this cold winter season! Please note: This story is the second installment in the series - but can be read as a standalone. Book one is: Baggage Claim.

Our leading man, Cooper agrees to do a feature on his family's ski-resort and quickly realizes that it is a family feature.... and he is very much single! He immediately begins searching for a solution - as he is willing to do whatever it takes to help the family business. Bring in our leading lady Madeline - a woman who recently lost her brother, and took in his two children - facing her own problems of schooling, not knowing who she is anymore... and a mother who loves to hound her about needing to get a boyfriend. Neither have time for a real relationship, but have the need to not appear single - them teaming up seems to be the perfect solution all around... but as they spend more time together the lines of their fake relationship and real life begin to blur.
While this storyline contains complex topics and discussions - the author handles with care and offers tons of laugh out loud moments that made it impossible to put this one down!

I absolutely loved every single second of this book! I’m genuinely at the point where if Juliana asked me to read her shopping lists, I would!! I’ve never ran as fast to read a book when my request was approved. I found Juliana’s work last year through Instagram and I’ve loved everything that I’ve read! Snowed Under was the perfect read leading up to Christmas.
The relationship between Madeline and Cooper is everything and more! There was so much chemistry between them from the moment they met and it just kept getting better and better! I was 100% rooting for them. There was just so much love and Julian’s writing depicted this so well. Both in the relationship between Madeline and Cooper and also their relationship with Piper and Charlie.
Piper and Charlie’s characters were written beautifully and they truly felt like real, complex characters and they also stole my heart! I adored how much Madeline stepped up and cared for these children. It made my heart hurt, in the best possible way and seeing Cooper’s relationship grow with them made it all just that little bit more special.
The communication between Madeline and Cooper really made their relationship for me. It was refreshing to see them sharing their struggles and working together through them.
I honestly loved everything about this book, which is no surprise! Please read it if you haven’t already! :)

This fake girlfriend/family story was very appealing to me. It’s a tale full of emotions, a story about discovering yourself, figuring out who you really are, and about family and love. A very beautiful and emotional story with wonderful characters. A delightful read.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for NetGalley.

Looooooved it! Such a great wintery book to escape into. The fake dating aspect is always a hit and it was done really well. Can’t give it enough praise.

This is a book that I wish I had read sooner, I could not put it down at all. It was such a fun romance book that was super escapeable and had characters I quickly fell in love with.
Snowed Under follows Madeline who since losing her brother and taking in his two kids feels like she has lost who she is and Cooper who agrees to be interviewed by a family magazine to bring attention to his families ski-lodge but is missing a wife and kids. For Madeline whose Mum keeps nagging her to get a boyfriend and Cooper who needs a fake family they both have what the other needs but they find there is more to both of their stories and gradually their fake relationship blurs into something real.
As I already mentioned I could not put this book down, I wanted to see how Madeline and Cooper’s relationship would develop and just spend time with these characters who I was really starting to love.
These characters were so great to follow, Madeline and Cooper were really interesting and I wanted to learn more about them from early on. They both had so much to their stories that made them people that I wanted to support and the best for instead of more challenges, they had been through so much and just deserved happiness along with feeling like they were the perfect character for each other.
Charlie and Piper were so much fun to follow too. They both added so much to the story and at times made me both smile so much and feel really worried about them. It was really interesting to see Cooper and Charlie’s relationship develop throughout the book. I really liked seeing how Cooper was there for Charlie no matter what happened with Madeline and their relationship was just really special to read about. Piper made me smile so much and was a great character that I wanted to see as much of as possible.
The side characters were also really well-developed and interesting to learn more about. I loved spending time with Cooper’s mum, Lora, and I cannot wait to go back and read Olive and Finn’s book.
The romance was one with complexities but it was also one that I supported from early on. I wanted to spend as many scenes as I could with Madeline and Cooper, and with the kids too. I smiled so much while reading and just wanted to keep reading as much as I could. I would have been happy if the book had never ended. Instead I got through this book so quickly and had a great time doing so.
I will definitely keep reading more Juliana Smith as the year goes on because I had a fantastic time with this one and can see myself giving her a five star rating with a book in the future. This is a book that I will definitely be recommending and am so glad that I finally got around to reading.
Thank you to Netgalley and Juliana Smith for a free e-arc in exchange for an honest review.

This book was really good. She's an author that keeps getting better with time, and it's been really nice to see the growth she's had. This story a lighthearted story that deals with some much deeper themes that I feel like are not written about that often. About grief, coping and learning to lean on someone when you genuinely need help. Also for having faith in your own abilities. 3.75.

Oh my gosh this book was wonderful! I feel like it beautifully depicted the struggle of a single-parent and trying to do it all. Cooper was hilarious and seriously book boyfriend material. I feel like both Cooper and Madeline were two misfits who came together and complemented each other well.
This book is the follow up to Baggage Claim (which I haven’t read). They can be read as standalones, similar to Abby Jimenez’s books. My only negative is I wished for a little more romance/spice!

Wonderful story, great character development, great writing! Highly recommend this book. I thoroughly enjoyed it

When Cooper gets cornered by a journalist and IG influencer who wants to feature him and his family’s Ski Resort, he’s all in to help the resort in any way he can. He quickly realizes it’s a family feature, and he is very much single. He immediately starts looking for a stand in family and he finds the perfect person in single mom, Madeline. Madeline is charmed but Cooper’s shenanigans but she’s in no place for a relationship. As a single mom to her niece and nephew, who were left to her after a tragic accident that killed their parents, and a nursing student, she barely even knows herself. Can Cooper convince her that they can help each other?
This was such a fun, lighthearted read! There were parts that were laugh out loud funny and Cooper was such a great character. There were a lot parts that tugged on your heart strings. I felt like the story was a little slow going and drug out longer than it needed to be but overall it was cute and fun and I enjoyed it. This is also a closed door romance
Thank you so much to Netgalley and Juliana Smith for the ARC of this book. All thoughts and opinions in my review are honest, voluntary and my own

Loved this second book to follow from baggage claim!
Juliana’s writing is so easy to follow and she makes you fall in love with the characters! Such a lovely Christmas read

‘Snowed Under’ by Juliana Smith is the perfect Winter rom-com.
Set in Aspen, it follows Madeline, a new Mum, and Connor, the ski instructor of one of the children she’s recently and unexpectedly become the carer of.
With a part-time job, full-time study, and a wealth of new responsibilities in her personal life, Madeline has her hands full - and she doesn’t have time for games.
But Connor needs someone to pretend to have partnered with him, to promise the family behind his family’s ski lodge, in a prominent magazine interview they hope will save it from closing down.
I’m not one for spoilers so I’ll leave the synopsis there, but if you like opposites attract, fake dating, and a read without a third act break-up, you’ll love this!
I know I did. The characters were cute, their connection full of chemistry, and their banter legitimately funny. I loved the back-story, of how Madeline and Cooper came to be where they are now, and I adored the reading about the love she had for her niece and nephew.
This was a warm and wholesome read, and I recommend it to anyone looking for something to cozy up and enjoy - especially when the weather is cooler. It’s really well written, and I really enjoyed it!
Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for my advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

Adorable snowy romance. First, this cover is top tier! Second, I literally felt so many emotions throughout this book. It was a perfect winter read to enjoy by the fire! Great atmosphere and sweet characters

i feel really bad for not finishing this book but i physically could not push myself to finish this book😭😭 I KNOW... i'm in the minority but i'm really sorry you guys, i tried my best.
why i hated this book:
➱ did not like both the main characters, not enough insight into madeline's life and pov. cooper was very pushy and i found him obnoxious (he says something like 'and they say the aspen peaks are the best view' when madeline is LITERALLY KNEELING ON THE FLOOR scrubbing the toilet or something while he stares at her butt???!!!)
➱ literally who edited this book???😭😭 there's one full chapter that's randomly bolded, lots of grammatical and punctuation errors as well...
➱ the writing style. i cannot. sorry. there's a lot of telling in this book, not a lot of show. there's literally 2 consecutive pages of just giving the reader tons of information about the characters and it isn't subtle. here's an example:
He talked about his mom’s dream of driving an ice cream truck around and how she always told him he would hang out in the back, in charge of taste testing each product. His dad would joke that there would be nothing to sell if the two of them were left alone in the truck. He told me about his grandparents, Madeline’s parents. How they didn’t like talking about his dad, or how, if he brought him up, they would immediately get busy. He talked about video games he wanted to try one day and his goals of having a job just like mine one day. I stayed quiet, beyond the random question here and there, and just let him talk. I nodded along with his discussions about his little sister. How she glared at strangers in grocery stores or how she had an odd love of water—always wanting to wash her hands or brush her teeth for an excuse to be near it. He thought she might become an underwater welder or something one day, and I couldn’t disagree. I pictured taking them to a beach one day, and I imagined Piper hissing at random bystanders.
at least for me as a reader, it's very off-putting when you just hand me a chunk of information about the characters' lives, which i will probably forget.
on the bright side, the 'non-main characters' were much more enjoyable to read about, especially mini coop and half pint!!
all in all, did not enjoy this book, i do not recommend it.
thank you to netgalley for a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review!!

I am always excited to see Indie author's work pop up on NetGalley! I was even more excited to get this book because I really enjoyed the first book by this author set in the same ski resort town.
I have to admit that I think it fell a little flat for me. I love a guy falls first romance, but it seemed like he fell real hard real fast and it was almost a bit insta-lovey which isn't my favorite trope. The kids in the story added so much and I felt like the situation was handled really well. Each kid seemed to be written in a flushed out way that made them more characters than just plot devices.
All in all, this was a fun wintery romance without a third act breakup that I think lots of readers will enjoy!
3.5 stars rounded up!

Such a cute romance! Easy and cozy read especially in the cold winter months. Loved the chemistry and the setting. Fabulous!

This book was adorable. It was my first one by Juliana Smith and won’t be my last. The way Cooper cares for Madeline is everything. This book definitely pulled some tears from me. I highly recommend this book!
Thank you NetGalley and Juliana Smith for the ARC.

One of my go-to authors, Juliana Smith, has done it again! This book was so cute—I was hooked from the very start. The characters were fantastic, and the fake dating trope was done perfectly. The banter was amazing and kept me smiling the whole way through. Highly recommend checking it out!

Guys having a main character with the same name as you is just so so special! I loved Cooper and Madeline so much and couldn’t get enough!
Madeline was a character that was so relatable, she made me feel seen. Easily my fav out of Juliana Smith’s characters!
And Cooper is so sweet and charming. Half pint and mini coop had my heart 🥰 I loved the non-dates and how Cooper took such great care of Madeline and the kiddos.
They truly made such a great couple that balanced each other out perfectly!
I haven’t read baggage claim yet but I absolutely will soon because I just love Juliana Smith’s writing so much! I am so close to finishing up her backlist! If you haven’t read any of her work yet, you def need to because she is the queen of rom coms.
