**Review of *A Desirable Arrangement* by Gwen Kirkwood**

Set in Scotland during 1977, *A Desirable Arrangement* tells the compelling story of Kim McLaren, who must confront her family's legacy when her father is deemed unfit to manage their beloved farm, Rowandene. Faced with the pressure to sell from the new estate owner, Daniel Nichol—an old childhood friend—Kim's struggle to preserve her family's heritage becomes a gripping tale of resilience and redemption.

Kirkwood skillfully intertwines themes of love, betrayal, and personal growth as Kim navigates the complexities of running the farm solo while dealing with her father's health issues and the looming threat of losing everything her family has built. Daniel, initially an antagonist, begins to reveal layers of vulnerability as he assists Kim in a critical moment, challenging their past grievances.

A Desirable Arrangement by Gwen Kirkwood captured my full attention from page one. Definitely kept me turning pages until finished. A unique plot, strong characters, a Scottish setting, romance....what more is needed?
