[Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for this ARC. This is my honest opinion but just another opinion, you should read it and judge it by yourself]
Great book!
It's a funny way of discover menopause and perimenopause, it's entertaining and also informative. I've read an eARC so I think a paper copy would be better and funnier but it's fantastic anyway, full of games, mazes, quizzes and tips.
This is a short, light hearted, fun activity/workbook! It's full of games, colouring, activities to do, and information that is relevant to the audience (though this content should not be considered medical advice). I think it would be a fun book to gift, and a print copy would be beneficial for all the activities. Perimenopause etc. is a hard journey and this certainly gave me a good laugh!
Thank you to Netgalley and Walter Foster Publishing for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This book is both funny and informative. Menopause is something that isn't talked about enough considering if affects approximately half the population of the world at some point in their lives. For suffers, the menopause can be quite overwhelming and leave you feeling quite lonely if you're not lucky enough to have supportive, understanding people around you. This makes publications both a necessity and a god send.
A fun book of a lot of activities that put a fun spin on Menopause. If you can look at this humor it will definitely make it easier to deal with.
This book also supplies lot of information on menopause, some things you need to help you survive it better and suggestions of other accoutrement to help the rest of your body.
If you have friends that are just beginning this transition and they have a sense of humor, this would be a fun book to give.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the arc.
Finally -- a colouring book specifically designed for the perimenopausal & menopausal person! Cute, funny & informative, I look forward to getting a paper copy of this when it comes out and going to town with some scented markers.
Honestly not a great book to read through digitally, but a physical copy would make a fun gift for a perimenopausal friend. Less of an adult colouring book than it is an activity book/perimenopause journal.
This is SUCH a cool activity book, and it's incredibly informative! I also love that it's been created by another kiwi! As someone who's struggling with very very early menopause, this is a delight and I will definitely be recommending this to some friends who are also struggling with it that need a laugh!! Thank you for this!

Book Review: Color Me Menopausal by Shirley Serban
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Hey there, friends! If you’re looking for a light-hearted way to tackle the wild ride of menopause, then I've got just the book for you: Color Me Menopausal by Shirley Serban. Seriously, this activity book is like a hilarious lifeline tossed to us hormonal warriors.
From the very first page, I found myself chuckling at the clever activities designed to guide us through the chaos of perimenopause and menopause. One of the most entertaining parts is figuring out your menopause superheroine name based on your birth month (mine is Crampy Hacker Droopy Boobs 😂} —because who doesn’t want to feel a little super now and then?
The pages are packed with a variety of fun stuff. There’s everything from mazes that help you “Stop the Leak!” (let's be real, we all need that bathroom map sometimes) to word searches that challenge you to find all the creative names menopause has picked up over the years. And don’t even get me started on “House Partay!”—the differences between our past partying selves and our current "I’d rather stay in with a hot flash" selves had me laughing out loud.
What I loved most was how this book not only offers a good chuckle but also provides validation and support. It’s like Shirley is sitting right there with you, acknowledging the madness of menopause while helping you navigate it with humor. There are puzzles, quizzes, and even some Shakespearean quotes thrown in for good measure (because why not?). This book genuinely feels like a warm hug!
Plus, it’s packed with tips and guidance that make you feel like you aren’t alone in this journey. Perfect for anyone over 40, it’s an awesome gift idea too. Who wouldn't want a fun-filled escape that celebrates our shared experiences?
Overall, Color Me Menopausal is an engaging mix of humor and practicality. It’s written by someone who’s living through this phase herself, which makes the advice all the more relatable. So grab your colored pencils, take a deep breath, and dive into this delightful book. You’ll come out feeling lighter, brighter, and perhaps a little more equipped to handle whatever menopause throws your way!

I wanted to read this because I don't know anything, and it's one of the things my doctor hasn't explained much besides checking my hormone levels. I have questions! And this book was a nice way to get my questions answered, because it was laid back, informative, and fun. There are pictures and puzzles and personal stories and lots of information, and I really liked the Shakespeare quotes describing what it's like . I highly recommend this for anyone approaching, in, or even past menopause, just to get some important basics. Thanks to NetGalley for letting me read this

I will be ordering one for my sister for Christmas and one for myself so i can fill it in, there's only 14 months between us but I'm at the end of perimenopause and she's near the start.
I love the mix of facts, pep talk and puzzles.
It's a great combination of activities and information.
Awesome book!
Hilarious, relatable, informative. This is a hilarious book about the ups and downs of people going through the stages of menopause. Full of fun quizzes, coloring pages and information.
Thank you to Walter Foster Publishing, Shirley Serban, and NetGalley for allowing me to preview this title before its publication date.
This was a lot more fun than I was expecting! It is a silly book with fun activities such as a maze, word find, crossword puzzles, and coloring pages (and more!). This was difficult to truly enjoy as an ebook (converted to pdf and using an Apple pencil made the experience better) but I can see this being amazing in print. This would be an excellent gift for someone that is really struggling with menopause to brighten their day. The activities were surprisingly relaxing bc it takes a tongue-in-cheek approach without dismissing the real struggle.
This is not only for our loved ones and selves with menopause but for those who do not understand menopause fully.
Each partner, employer and younger friend must be given one.
Simply hilarious and fun. As a nearly 45 year old I can relate to the subject of menopause/perimenopause 100%. This would make a very fun birthday gift for most women with a sense of humor over the age of 40. I’d buy it for sure.
**Thanks to the author and publisher for the e-arc I received via NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.**
