So much that I didn't see coming. Was a thrilling, fantastic read. Love this author just another great book

Wow I can’t explain how on edge I felt reading this
It was definitely fast paced and intense.

Loved the character Rob really did have it tough and I’m still a little disappointed with how he was treated he definitely deserved an apology that’s how invested I was in this it made me emotional
Did not see any of the book coming it was just one twist after another

Emma and Rob live a quiet life with their infant daughter, Sophie. Rob returns home early from night shift to find Emma gone, and Sophie alone in her cot.
Rob thought they were happy, how could Emma walk away from him and their child?

I was hooked from the beginning of this book, it was suspenseful and twisty. I found the characters believable, and the writing flowed well.
I haven't read any of this author's work before, but will definitely keep an eye out for more from Mr O'Sullivan.

The Husband had my gripped from the beginning, the twist, I did not see coming and it was just amazing!!

This book started off slowly and I almost gave up but then it took off and was a good story. There were twists and turns in this book that made it even more enjoyable.

Em was a devoted wife and mother who disappears one night out of the blue. Did she run away? Was she upset with her husband? Did her husband hurt her and hide the body? The story is of all the people trying to make sense of her disappearance. There were times in the book where I felt I had a read a similar story to this but I couldn't but my finger on which book it was.

This book was definitely entertaining but not one of my favorite thrillers.

I work nights so it’s almost 3 a.m. when I get home. It’s day ten of the heatwave and even this late, the air is suffocating. Inside the house, the only sound is our five month old daughter, crying in her crib. I wait for Em’s footsteps on the landing. I listen out for her soothing voice. Any second now. There’s nothing. I check our bedroom. I wait for the mound of crumpled blankets to move. The bed is empty. It’s the middle of the night. My wife is gone and she left our baby here. All alone. And I have no idea why?! Great read!! Wow! Some wild twists and turns in this book! I thoroughly enjoyed reading this one! This book had suspense, murder, mystery, gaslighting, intrigue, and a great who done it! The story was very interesting and kept me glued to my kindle! I highly recommend reading this book! Thank you NetGalley and Joffe books (my fave) for sharing this book with me! Can’t wait for more!

Thank you Joffe Books and NetGalley for an early copy of The Husband. This was an interesting read. Very fast reading which is always good. I felt it took awhile to get to the point, I was wondering where it was going but all of a sudden it took on a life of its own and I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. Rob was a great character and so were Em’s parents. Some parts were a bit unbelievable but All in All a good read. Thank you again.

I was attracted to this book because of the perspective being from the "husband." A lot of domestic thrillers I've read are from the "wife’s" perspective. I loved reading the themes of fatherhood and domestic life. There are many twists and turns in this novel. Rob and Em are young parents trying to make things work. Child care, work commitments, keeping house, depression. Common things parents everywheredeal with.. That's what it looks from the outside, but secrets and deceptions lay beneath. I liked the part, when Rob recounted the birth of their daughter. It felt very real. A universal experience for the reader to relate to. This is a solid thriller told in first person POV. I enjoyed it and read it quickly!

Rob Clarke arrives home in the early hours of the morning looking forward to spending time with his wife Emma and five-month-old daughter Sophie but the house is empty, Emma has disappeared and Sophie is crying for a feed. People think Emma was depressed and left to start a new life with an ex-boyfriend but Rob doesn’t believe it, and the more he searches for Emma the greater his belief that she’s been taken against her will.

I’ve been keen to read ‘The Husband’ as apart from the author being a favourite of mine it’s not often a thriller is based on the husband’s point of view rather than the wife’s. From page one I was intrigued by the characters and the reasons behind Emma’s disappearance and despite being surprised by some of the foolish decisions Rob made, I felt for his loss and that of Emma’s parents. There’s been plenty of suspense and twists and turns, with a massive red herring included to mislead and put us on the wrong track, but the tension increased the further I read and by the time I reached the final chapter I had tears in my eyes. This has been an involving thriller that’s kept me engrossed from start to finish and I have no hesitation in recommending it.

An exciting drama.
Loved the storyline, something very different.
Well written characters.
The start sucked me in straight away and the ending was fab.
Loved, loved this book.
