📚 Book Review: Tilly's Midlife Crisis by Catharina Maura 📚
Okay, besties, let's talk about Tilly's Midlife Crisis! This book was like a warm, cozy blanket with a splash of champagne—comforting but with a bit of a sparkle. Tilly is all of us when life throws a curveball, and her journey from crisis to clarity had me cheering her on.
Catharina Maura does a great job balancing humor and heart, giving us a story that's both relatable and laugh-out-loud funny. I loved how Tilly's mishaps felt so real, and there were so many moments where I thought, "Yep, been there!"
The cast of characters around Tilly added so much flavor to the story. Her friends, her love interests, even the random run-ins—each one brought something special. And while the book is a rom-com at its core, it also dives into finding yourself at any age, which I adored.
If you're looking for a feel-good read with a sassy, lovable lead and a plot that keeps you smiling, grab Tilly's Midlife Crisis. It's the perfect escape when you need a little boost or just want to curl up with a fun, fabulous read.
Let me also add that this is the perfect summer read.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ (4.5/5 stars)

Uplifting and witty book! I didn't immediately love it, but glad I carried on with this one. Fun book with a cute hea

I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
This is a wonderful book. I really enjoyed it!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The pace, the antics, the fluidity of the scene setting and changes - all executed not only cohesively but enjoyably.
With gorgeous meet-cutes, comedic mysteries and laugh-out-loud moments, I think this book might actually have it all for a short rom-com. I can't say I've ever been to Italy but the descriptions made me want to book a flight for the Spring. Heck, I'd book a flight tomorrow to go and experience what Tilly experienced on her 10 days away.
If you're looking for a funny, quick paced, romantic, hold-your-breath-because-you-can't-believe-what's-happening kind of story, this is it for you.
Also, I love a book that ties up all the loose ends and this does exactly that. Aside from a couple of typos, I don't think there's anything I disliked about it. Looking forward to reading more of Rosie Meleady.

This book has a great premise- a 50 year old mother going through a divorce, job-hunting and still raising her 20-something year old son goes on a beautiful birthday trip to Italy with her best friend and the promise of romance 🥰 The descriptive writing as it relates to colours highlight the artist in the protagonist but the story fell flat for me with avoidable mix-ups and drama. The Hallmark-esque ending wasn’t for me, but I’m sure that it will make a great read for others looking for that guaranteed happy ending!
Thank you to NetGalley and Victory Editing for the e-ARC

The beginning of this book truly annoyed me; I found myself just not liking any of it - but I also told myself that I wanted to continue because the blurb for this one? Really excited me! So I kept powering through and I am forever grateful that I did as this book was truly witty, and fun, with a really intense and awesome cast of characters. Everything about Italy, all of the adventures, the people she met, everything was truly what made the book great.

This is a perfect fit for readers seeking a heartwarming, humorous, and romantic escape, who will delight in a story of self-discovery, second chances, and the transformative power of love, friendship, and following one's passions.

This was a great fun uplifting read. A good story with interesting characters. I always enjoy a nice lightheaded read and this ticked all the boxes. Recommend

What a great read and one I thoroughly enjoyed. It is fun, adventurous and easy to read. I laughed a lot, I read this in one sitting and I was most certainly entertained by it for sure.
What a lovely book to read on a sunny afternoon with a glass of wine or a good cup of tea. Well written to keep my interested and by an author I will definitely be reading more of.

What a wonderful read I loved that these over fifty women have a great friendship and enjoy life to the fullest.I was immediately drawn in from beginning to end .Looking forward to enjoying more by Rosie Meleady.#netgalley#envypublishing

This was so cute! If you want to feel like you're on a girls' trip in Italy this is THE book for you! It's so cozy and warm with the three women's chaotic life stories, I just love reading about women's lives 😅
We meet Tilly as she turns 50, and feels stuck and unhappy. The weekend after her birthday her best friend Roxanne takes her on a trip to Italy that's full of surprises, not all planned 😆
There's romance, rediscovering old passions and so much heartwarming friendship, I love books like this!
You'll get a lot of laughs during this read but also maybe some moving cries ;) I read this one in one day, as the story's pacing is phenomenal. A lot happens, we get to know the characters in depth and it truly feels like you're on vacation with them.
My review will appear on my Instagram (grl_travels) on the day the book will be published

This was a cute story, a holiday read... though a little farfetched for my liking. I enjoyed parts of the story, but some of it (ie the Mafia stuff) was a bit unrealistic... but a good beach read.

I liked this book! This older duo friend couple was so fun and enjoyable. I liked the pacing of the book, and how there were little funny parts throughout. It was lighthearted and enjoyable!
Thank you to NetGalley, to the author, and to the publisher for this complementary ARC in exchange for my honest review!!!

Thank you #Netgalley for the advanced copy!
Tilly is going through the motions, her birthday, her college son, a separation from her husband, placing her mother in an assisted living facility. She is overwhelmed in all aspects of life! When her best friend brings up a trip to Italy, she is hesitant but accepts. As you can imagine this trip changes her life, so many encounters with people from her past and forcing her to look at her own life and what is best for her!

Rosie Meleady's writing is brimming with humor, heart, and wonderfully quirky moments. The witty banter, touching introspection, and engaging plot twists—complete with a bit of mystery—are reminiscent of Marian Keyes, offering a refreshing blend of escapist delight and genuine emotional depth.
As a 38-year-old woman, wife, and mother, I found Tilly’s ups and downs to be hilariously relatable. The story balances humor and self-reflection beautifully, making it a joy to read from start to finish. It’s a reminder that midlife is far from the end; it can be the start of something truly fabulous. A must-read for anyone who enjoys laughter, romance, and a dash of Tuscan magic.

I loved this book! Tilly and Roxanne are two seriously funny characters and I really loved that they are main characters around fifty. The way they always assume foul play everywhere is just hilarious - I laughed out loud several times. The story is fast-paced, entertaining and uplifting and of course the end is just satisfying! I read the book in one day and was sad to see it end. Can't wait to read more from the author!

Who wouldn't want a fun trip for their 50th birthday!
Tilly's life is falling apart - she's lost her job, her son is totally dependent on her and her husband/ex is horrible. Her best friend takes her on a surprise trip to Italy for her 50th birthday. Only the trip has some snags - they're staying at the villa of their high school nemesis who is a famous influencer now and makes Tilly feel inadequate. But there is mystery, too and romance.
Thank you to NetGalley, the author and publisher for a temporary, digital ARC in return for my review.

Tilly Fox’s Fabulous Midlife Crisis is a witty and heartwarming novel that takes readers on a journey through the unpredictable terrain of midlife rediscovery. Tilly Fox, our refreshingly flawed and relatable protagonist, navigates career shifts, unexpected romances, and the sometimes humorous but always profound challenges of reinventing herself in her fifties Tilly’s journey, filled with clever humor and heartfelt moments, resonates as she learns to embrace her quirks and celebrate her individuality. With lively prose and memorable characters, this novel is a delightful, feel-good exploration of finding purpose and joy in the second act of life. Tilly’s story is both inspiring and laugh-out-loud funny—a must-read for anyone who has ever questioned whether it’s too late to start anew.

This was a new author for me but I found this to be a fun and quirky novel. Tilly is about to turn 50, unemployed and having a mid-life crisis. When her friend Roxanne books them a week in Tuscany, Tilly expects a relaxing vacation but it turns out to be a massive adventure. Fun, frolics and a little bit of mystery, I was completely engrossed. Thank you to NetGalley, Envy Publishing and the author for the chance to review.

Tilly Fox's Fabulous Midlife Crisis by Rosie Meleady was a fun, relatable, and I'm jealous because I want to grab my best friend and just go to Europe.
Tilly is turning 50 and she and her best friend, Roxanne, are headed to Italy and adventures await them. Or, rather calamity and adventures await them. I laughed and could relate to both Tilly and Roxanne.
There's a romance with an old nemesis they run into, friendships found, friendships cemented, laughter, and life lessons in that time can change the way we view things and how we saw them may not have been how they really were.
Loved every bit of this and can't wait to go read more from the author.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC. All opinions are my own.
