Thank you Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book. The opinions written are completely honest and my own.

A well written story about love and backing up what you say with action. I will keep believing my dog understands me when I say I love you, but the rest of the book and wonderful and easy to grasp. I also enjoyed the tops for parents and educators.

Love: It's SHOW and Tell by Gina Prosch is a moving beautifully illustrated story about what it actually means to love someone. This book has a great message that people of all ages can resonate with. My great niece loved this story and wanted to have it read to all over again.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for granting access to this book

This is a beautiful and moving story that teaches children what it really means to love someone or something. I think adults and children alike would enjoy this book, and its important lessons can be passed down to anyone. I know it may sound cliche, but when I think of a word to describe how this book makes you feel: love is the word that comes to mind. I highly recommend this beautiful book.

Loved this book. Meant for younger audience but still enjoyable for all ages ranges. Will be buying this for the kids in my life when available in print.

Boys Town Press has been getting some better authors. This book was a tad long all of Boys Town books are about learning a lesson. In this book, we have two little girls who come home from school. They were left a note of instructions and told to wait for Mom. When they skip part of the instructions, it causes a problem. They use this problem to learn a lesson. I like that this strays away from the problem, three examples, pneumatic solution. This is a story told as stories are supposed to be told. While I find the story is long for storytime, it would be perfect for a classroom setting. The illustrations are bright and colorful and will keep kids’ attention.

This is a perfect book for my daughter. I have tried to explain this to her several times and let’s put it in easier terms for her to understand. The illustrations were cute and the story was sweet. Thank you, NetGalley for the arc and exchange for my honest review.

Thank you to the publisher and to NetGalley for the eARC! A cute story about showing how love is an act of showing and telling. I like how the author includes a pet in the story and showing how to be responsible for the cat, and showing it love since cats do not understand our words. Bright pictures make it eye catching for readers and I think elementary aged readers will like ot try to figure out the picture clue notes Mom leaves for Holly!

Love! It’s SHOW and Tell is an informative and enchanting picture book, following along with Holly and her pet cat as she learns a very important lesson: saying "I love you" isn’t enough—you also need to show your love. Written in a way that any child can easily understand, this picture book is perfect for young readers. I can't recommend it enough!

It is a lesson to children that your actions speak louder than words. You can tell someone something but must follow it with how you treat them.

Expressions of Love

Holly is a very relatable character for most kids. A simple school assignment and afternoon with her friend displays a common glimpse of many children’s afternoons. Her story took a turn I did not initially expect based on the title. I think this book is versatile for individuals and classes. It provides sustainment resources for educators and adults to support the child/children audience members.

The illustrations bring you into Holly’s world as she prepares for Show and Tell and takes you through her evolution to learn a valuable life lesson.

I received a free copy of this book from Gina Prosch and Boys Town Press Publishing. I am voluntarily leaving a review. All opinions are my own.

Love! Is Show and Tell, is a story that brings the saying,
‘Actions speak louder that words’ to life in a sweet and age appropriate way for children.

This story is filled with teachable moments that are perfect for prompting discussions about: How we show love to others; how we react when we are upset (Mom vs Holly) and why it’s important to put the needs of others before ourself.

Gina and Kyle skillfully involve the ‘child reader’ without the need for them to be able to read through their use of a decodable picture note from Holly’s mum. This was a great way to help further engage the reader. This can easily be encorporated as a follow-up task for teachers in terms of children creating their own picture notes for others to decipher.

The illustrations by Kyle Merriman are bright, colourful and have a cartoon/animation style. They brilliantly compliment the story.

Thanks to Boys Town Press Publishing for an
eARC of this book for an honest review.

A colourful children's book with some strong messages and life lessons. I found this to be a longer book so not really for very young children. It would be good for an early reader too.

This book told the story of Clara and a tough lesson she learned. The illustrations were great and we loved reading about the cat. While I felt like the message was good, it took a lot to get to the point and was hard for my son to follow the message. It was a cute book and a good message, but I felt the deliver was a bit jumbled.

The story of a late elementary school child and her friend who learn the importance of responsibility and what it means to show and tell love.

Reading this with my daughter who is just getting to be big enough to enjoy longer books. This was a fun read for us, the story was sweet, and engaging enough to keep her attention and the illustrations are beautiful. Section with tips for parents and educators is always a welcome addition at the end of these books.

Adorable and great little tool for teaching the importance of showing with actions!

I loved that the illustration style felt like animation you'd see on tv or in a movie!

Holly learns a hard lesson about showing love. She and her friend work hard on their show and tell project and then head outside to play with the new bubble wands her mom left for them. After her friend leaves, they go back in the house and discover the kitchen is a mess. Holly scolds her cat but her mom asks her if she followed the directions and fed her. She makes up excuses so her mom uses this as a teaching moment about showing love not just telling someone. Readers will see what happens with these choices, and, hopefully, choose to show their love too. Brightly colored illustrations capture the emotions and action in this story. A terrific read together for families.

Wow, wow, wow!! I love this book (and I am SHOWING it by writing this review!)! Honestly, I kind of wish that I had this book when I was younger. I've never really seen a book with such a cohesive and rare, but still *wildly* important message. It is amazing that this book is for young readers, because it is good for this message to be taught early. Additionally, the message was clear and made so much sense. The author achieved this so flawlessly by including the full conversation between Holly and her mom. Holly's mom hinted at showing love, but it was Holly who came to the realization that just simply saying "I love you" isn't enough to really let someone know that you love and care about them. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this book so, lastly, the illustrations were very colorful and beautiful, while still being very realistic in a way.
This book was absolutely amazing. Bravo!
