This is definitely my favourite book by Abby Jimenez. It’s a romance without being overly romantic and cheesy. It has real life issues in there and truly likeable characters. The writing style just makes it so easy to connect with the characters and story that every time you put the book down, you’ll be thinking about the next time you can pick it up.

This was utterly gorgeous! I love Abby’s writing style and the way in which she sculpts the characters. As per usual, it was a rollercoaster of emotions — there were moments where I was giggling and kicking my feet, as well as heart-wrenching moments that left me gutted. I just loved this!! Highly recommend!

This is going to be right up there with my favourite book of the year!
Two of my favourite characters of all time! I loved this love story, watching it unfold and the depth to their individual stories. I felt the chemistry right from the start and couldn't stop reading. I just want more!
I loved reading from both perspectives too as this gives such depth to the story.
I can't stop.thinkong about this book right now.

🌟: 3.75/5
🌶: 1/5
Genre: contemporary romance
POV: dual
Tropes:
✨ long distance
✨ insta love
✨ meet cute
✨ no third act break up
Trigger warnings: dementia, sudden death, heart condition, panic attacks, neglectful and abusive parents, childhood trauma
Well this was a hard read. The amount of heavy content is not for those looking for a chick flick romance. The characters have childhood trauma mixed with a whole lot of current trauma. The hard hitting topics such as caring for a young parent with dementia was handled so well, it was rawly honest and truly gave representation to carers. Though I didn’t like the Dad’s late night storyline.
The long distance trope hit rather close to home for me 😅 and mixing in the financial struggles they both faced it really felt like love conquers all. Despite their tough situations, they both didn’t want to let each other slip through their fingers. It was very “when you know, you know” vibes.
A slight negative was the pop culture references, Rhysand being mentioned from ACOTAR is wiiiiild. But mentioning it like 5 times is even more wild!? And the whole “would you love me if I was a worm” convo didn’t do it for me 🤣
I feel like references to current cultures really dates a book but other than that, a beautifully emotional storyline that made me cry multiple times.
Thank you for Netgalley and Little, Brown Book Group UK | Piatkus for an advanced reader copy in exchange for an honest opinion.

This hit different 😭😭

The book deals with sensitive and emotional topics, honestly we are THROWN into the deep end immediately - 2 chapters in and my face was 😮
The characters are complex and relatable, with their vulnerabilities and strengths shining through in a way that feels authentic. The chemistry between our love interests is electric, and the story's emotional nature both gripped me and had me bawling.
Jimenez's writing style remains captivating and witty, with moments of humor perfectly balanced by traumatic scenes that made me want to cry. The pacing is done well, I never felt like it lagged and honestly, could have read more of Xavier and Samantha. If you’re a fan of Abby Jimenez's previous works, this will undoubtedly be a worthy addition to your bookshelf.

4⭐️- I’ll never get over how Abby Jimenez writes such devastating situations with so much humour and hope, I’ll buy anything she writes and was so so excited to read a copy of her newest release early!
This was probably Abby’s most emotional book so far, I always find her romances seem so light and happy going in but then absolutely devastate me after a few chapters. She never shys away from difficult topics and always writes her characters to be so relatable and endearing.
There was so much I loved about this book (especially how she always manages to write in her love for dogs) and without giving too much away I can’t stop thinking about how gut wrenching the situation is that the plot revolves around. But as a slow burn girlie I just wish there had been a little less insta-love between the main characters! But the romance was there and in true Abby style they went against the odds to try and make things work.
This is a book that makes you reflect on how quickly things can turn for the worst and that you never really know what other people are going through.

Abby does it again.
I think this is my favourite from her by far. Every single thing about this book was incredible. The parallels of literally everything in this story, and the fact I'm even saying that and it's brought up time and time again about Xavier and Samantha wanting to live parallel lives.
I am obsessed with both Samantha and Xavier. The way their personalities just compliment each other so well and I immediately felt the chemistry between the both of them. This impossible situation they're stuck in, I just had no clue how they were going to get out of it. All of the side characters were incredible and I'm hoping Abby's next trilogy (not a trilogy) will potentially follow either Xavier's friends or Samantha's siblings. There are so many routes that could be taken here.
Also, I sobbed with the whole Hank thing, my heart literally couldn't take it. The sweetest man on the entire planet and must be protected at all costs.
I flew through this book in the space of 2 days, but probably about 5 hours in total. I just couldn't put it down, and now I'm going to have to wait another year for another Abby book *sob*
My all time favourite authors, she never ever lets me down. God tier books, God tier author. This is her 8th Five Star from me! Keep em coming Abby!!!

This is a book to remember !! I think this is my favourite Abby book since it felt the most soul resonating for me!
Soft, emotional, tender at the right places with swoony romance and reflection on life!
An absolute magic to read!

I've wanted to read Abby Jimenez books since reading her novella, The Fall Risk, last month. This book didn't disappoint and I cannot stop thinking about it.
Xavier is a veterinary doctor and Samantha is a social media marketer for a mustard company. They meet at Xavier's work and decide to go on a date before Samantha moves across the country to help take care of her mother. They didn't think anything would come from their date, but the initial spark couldn't be denied. They have tried to forget each other, but they were so miserable without contact. They are now left in limbo, both going through tough circumstances to try and see each other again and keep their relationship going.
I adored the instant connection Xavier and Samantha had and the banter they had was so fun. They got along so well and worked so hard to make the best out of a bad situation.
Xavier has my heart. The way he showed his love for Samantha and everything he sacrificed to see her. He had such a troubled past as a child and kept himself guarded for so long, but underneath everything he's the biggest golden retriever for the ones he loves.
My heart broke for Samantha and her family. Although there was hilarious banter and fun moments, there was also so much emotion in the book and dealt with some heavy topics with caregiving for a parent.
There were some parts of the book which felt a little repetitive, but I still rate this as five star because I felt so many emotions and I cannot stop thinking about these characters.
Thank you to Netgalley for the early copy of this book. I cannot wait to get stuck into more of Abby's books very soon!

I am SUCH an Abby fan and this did not disappoint!!! Tender, emotional and beautifully written with the perfect combination of romance and real world I loved this. It might be her best yet!

I loved this book!
I’m so grateful to have been able to read the ARC of one of my most anticipated reads of the year.
The relationship between Xavier and Samantha was to die for and I can only dream of finding something like that one day.
Xavier’s acts of service to Samantha?!! I love how he always knew what to do and how to help with her family despite his past. Like the playlists and how he helped with her mother!?
The plot with Samantha’s family destroyed me in the best way. I would recommend reading the trigger warnings if you do have triggers because this is a major plot in the book and can be triggering to some people.
My only concern with this book was the insta-love however I think that is just my personal preference and I know a lot of people like that trope. I still loved the relationship despite the insta-love so it was easy to overlook.
4.5/5 stars

haven't read but the format is unreadable. It's really hard to understand the text or the speech as the paragraphs are really spaced out. Not impressed as I have contacted the publishing company and they haven't done anything to sort it.

As a reluctant romantic, I struggle to find romance books that are subjectively five star worthy. However this book simultaneously blew me away and drew me in. It was more than just a romance, it was a segment of family, work-life balance, and the power of memory: the things we wish to forget and the things we never want to forget.
Although the coupling in the story was only compatible with their chemistry and literally nothing else, I have never rooted for a couple harder. I was swooning and weeping in multitudes. This book provoked such a strong emotional reaction from me and I am now a hardcore Abby Jimenez fan.

Say You’ll Remember Me
Abby Jimenez
“It was my first alien abduction. You always remember your first.”
Everybody needs their person and their “Come On Eileen”. I loved this whirlwind romance story with hard elements of life thrown in. I adored Xavier and his VILF status. And the parallel between forgetting someone and the undeniable thirst for being remembered by others. To be seen and loved, to which is what makes a life remarkable.
“That there is nothing more beautiful than being a witness to someone’s life. To know them inside and out and be with them through everything, share the same memories. Memories are everything. I want that.”
I loved this book and it’s easy feel good qualities but took a star off for that ending. The whole book you see the crossroads coming and know something’s gotta break… but it’s not the path I’d have chosen, I’ve always been the long game player, not the short sighted person. However conceptually it’s Abby’s book and she can take it wherever she wishes.
“Because most people don’t say what they think. Animals do. They’re transparent. Their body language doesn’t lie. They always tell you the truth if you pay attention. People lie all the time.”
Thank you @hachette
Release date is 1st April.
“Because if you were my wife you would be my world. Everything starts with you and ends with you. Anything else is just the stuff that happens in the middle.”

Rating: 4.5 stars
I love AJ and her writing and this one was just as captivating. There is something about AJ's writing that just keeps me pulled in.
I had to drop a half star because I'm not a fan of insta love. That being said, Xavier and Samantha were complete opposites who ground each other and were perfect for each other. It was refreshing reading a romance novel with long-distance, the struggles the characters faced in their relationship and also outside their relationship. It was poignant, beautiful and hard-hitting at points. I laughed and I was emotional.
Overall, an amazing romance that I think people will absolutely adore.

Okay, so I am not normally a fan of insta love, I usually find it super icky. However, I loved it in this book, the instant connection and chemistry was soooo good, I was so giddy and happy whilst reading it, I simply couldn’t put it down.
Samantha and Xavier were two characters that I instantly liked, they had so much depth and personality as individuals and they just matched so perfectly. I always love the way Abby writes real and honest backstories to the characters she creates and this was no different. They had hardships and challenges, I just loved the way that they supported each other.
The reason I haven’t rated it higher is because the ending felt too rushed, I wanted more from it than a quick wrap up at the last 10%.
Overall this was such a brilliant read, I loved it a lot and will always autobuy Abby’s books.
Thank you Little Brown Group, Piatkus and NetGalley for the arc 💕

Say You'll Remember Me follows Samantha who finds an abandoned kitten who is desperate need of medical attention and Xavier, the grumpy veterinarian who doesn't give Samantha the news that she is hoping for. When Samantha comes back for a follow up visit, Xavier tries to make amends, shooting his shot and asks Samantha out, the only problem is Samantha happens to be leaving in the morning to see her family... and doesn't plan on coming back.
They agree to not do a long distance relationship despite how well their date ended and try to forget about each other. But they soon realise that it's easier said then done. They make plans to try and each other but none of them can truly afford to travel, despite how much Xavier tries by working himself to exhaustion.
While the book follows the romance between Xavier and Samantha, there is also a strong focus on family as well. We get to know Samantha's family and the relationships she has with each of her family members. I especially loved the banter between her and her brother. I also loved reading how well Xavier fits in with them during all of his visits.
However, I did feel like it was a little too much "insta-love" so the romance felt a little rushed and lacked some chemistry. It's not to say that I didn't like these two together but I personally would've maybe liked some more scenes of them two together before Samantha left. You're really telling me they're connection was that deep after just one date? Also I don't know if it's just me but Xavier being described as Rhysand from A Court of Thorns and Roses really threw me off.
Thank you to Netgalley for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Abby Jimenez couldn't write a bad book if she tried! This is once again a beautifully crafted story that brings with it so much of the pain and struggles of life, as well as the moments that bring people together and the love they have for each other. It's a really emotional read (bring the tissues) but one which is balanced out by lots of humour and chemistry which all felt so natural - evidence of Jimenez's fantastic writing skills! I was completely drawn into this from the very first page and struggled to put it down up to the very end. It left me wondering throughout how Samantha and Xavier could possibly fight the universe and win, despite their big love - the kind you see in movies, and that romantics dream of. The characters in this book are complex, and they bring a lot of different personalities to the story. I would have loved to have seen more of Xavier's friends but he did bring lots of cute animals to the party so I can forgive this. This is certainly not an easy read, or a sunshine and rainbows romance, but Abby Jimenez fans won't be expecting that and despite how much she might try to destroy us at times, she has such a way with writing love in all its forms that her books are impossible to resist, and this is no different. The one thing I did feel was that it did get a little slower in the third quarter and I think it would have been more enjoyable for me if we had more of Samantha and Xavier interacting rather than being so overwhelmed with their individual (and joint) struggles.
I received a free copy of this book. All views are my own.

Phew… that was an emotional rollercoaster if there ever was one!
Say you’ll remember me follows Samantha who rescues a kitten with some issues… she meets Xavier, a handsome veterinarian who she calls and asshole.
I loved witnessing their love develop so fast and how their personalities bounced off each other. Samantha is sunshine and feisty and Xavier is broody and sweet at the same time.
The heartbreak of her mother’s dementia really struck me where it hurts and my heart broke for her.
I completely empathised with their long distance relationship and how hard it was on them but the ending was so satisfying when they finally got to be together 😍 I really enjoyed this book!

if abby jimenez writes it, i will read it
she always tugs on the heart strings too and this one was no different.
