I see what the author was going for here, but the character just wasn't too well developed. This could've really benefitted from some stronger editing to help awaken the plot.
Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and author for allowing me to read an ARC of this book. I couldn’t put it down and thoroughly enjoyed the storyline - the main character was relatable for me.
All. About. The. Body. Positivity. YASSS. As a new mom who has gone through a lot of physical and mental changes over the last year, I appreciate a book that can focus on positive body image and still being sexy is so good for me!
This book was a solid 4 stars for me. A good little dip into the BDSM lifestyle from a non-erotic novel. The interview at the end with the person who inspired the novel was a nice little touch as well. It was an enjoyable story and a relatively quick read for me. It never stopped moving.
The switch from first to third person that happened a few times was really jarring to me and didn’t flow well. There were also a few kink/BDSM terms that the author never defined that could be confusing to readers who don’t know about the lifestyle.
I really appreciated the way the author handled the FMCs weight. I thought it was going to be too heavy handed on the sale hatred but it was enough to get the point across and make you feel for the main character without being too much.
I enjoyed reading this book. The plot was entertaining. It wasn’t over the top either. Great characters.
I loved this book! The beginning of the story had me highlighting so many sentences because they struck a chord with me. The way the main character thinks about herself and her body was authentic and relatable. Introducing spice and kink factors in the book intrigued me as I read further. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.
