This book was full of so many twists and turns. I loved the multiple perspectives and how all of them intersected with one another. I also really enjoyed how we started this story not fully knowing what exactly happened and then the story was slowly unfolded for the reader. This was a great thriller with so many secrets with each character.

I love this author but unfortunately it didnt hit the mark for me . What I didnt enjoy was the ending and it dragged on in certain places. I liked it but I couldnt say I loved it.

After having read four of her previous books I was excited to read this one. The story was good until the ending it left me feeling that there should have been more. I even went back a few pages to see if I had missed something. For me it left too many unexplanied answers.

Kerry Wilkinson’s "Home is Where the Lies Live" is a mystery thriller that unravels the dark secrets hidden behind the closed doors of Huntington Grove, a seemingly idyllic suburban neighbourhood.

Heidi and Freddie are a newly married couple, easy to get on with but behind their front door lies a secret. Across the street, Willow grapples with a crumbling marriage and a defiant teenage daughter, while her husband’s nocturnal absences fuel her suspicions. Dylan, a single father next door has a tragic past, his wife was murdered and the case was never solved. Doubts and suspicions remain around him and whether he had any involvement.

The tension builds and when the neighbourhood get together for what appears to be an innocuous summer party the trouble really accelerates. There is police involvement leading to the arrest of one of the residents. With plenty of suspects we learn of the secrets each household hides.

This is a fast paced novel with plenty of interest, lots of good characters and intrigue.

This is a good read but in my opinion not as strong as many of this authors other books.

I do love this author. This is my 14th book I've read of hers. I love the cover and blurb of this book.
I did begin to enjoy this book once I got into it. I wasn't sure how I felt about the characters. I didn't have any favourite. I did try to guess what was happening but I was wrong everytime. I never saw that coming. I would definitely recommend this book.

I love this author and will read anything he writes for he always always surprises, stuns and amazes with every one of his books. And this one was amazing from start to finish. A brilliant read. Very highly recommend.

This book was a bit slow for me but was an okay read. I usually love Wilkinsons books so that took me a bit by surprise.

Freddie and Heidi just moved to a new home. When a Heidi’s gets to the new house, she had to stay back to finish work, she finds her husband has a door locked, and finds it a bit odd. Heidi then makes it her mission to find out why the door is locked. What could Freddie be hiding?

Willow and Gage seem to be in a bit of a rut, and to top it off willow is finding herself often fighting with her daughter. Gage starts to seem a bit off, vanishing each night but not wanting Willow to know where he’s really going. Where is Gage sneaking off to in the middle of the night?

Dylan is a single dad whose wife was murdered. He’s still struggling with this and so desperately want to know who would do such a thing.

The whole street gets together for a party. But something that should be such a positive a fun thing, does not end up being that at all.

Oh yes, it really does read like an episode or two of "Desperate Housewives" that, 12 years after that show ended, it felt like I was right back there with them again. Alison gave off Bree vibes while Willow was a Susan, Dylan the smouldering Mike and Freddie and Heidi couldn't quite live up to Gaby and Carlos, but they had the secrets those two had! Nobody quite fit Tom and Lynette though...lol

Heidi and Freddie have just moved to Huntington Grove from Manchester as Freddie has just landed a lucrative marketing job whilst Heidi had to relinquish hers to follow her husband. From the moment they moved in, the street seemed to be oozing secrets. Beginning with the locked room in their new home. After nine years of marriage and sharing a tiny flat, why did Freddie have the sudden urge to keep a locked room? It was Heidi's house too after all. But no matter how much she questioned him about it, he waved off her probes and the like. But suddenly, Heidi didn't believe him. And soon she began to snoop for answers herself. What was a woman home all day to do but search for whatever her husband was keeping from her?

Across the road, Willow has her own battles to field. Starting with her moody teenage daughter Isabella and culminating in her equally moody husband Gabe, who seems to disappear at odd times in the night...along with any spare cash she kept in her purse. Just what exactly is he up to? Willow can't seem to connect with her daughter or her husband, and is drifting through life trying her best but not quite managing it.

Dylan lives next door to Willow with his 7 year old daughter Orla. Three years ago he lost his wife Ciara who was brutally attacked and left for dead on her way home with the killer never brought to justice. Dylan harbours some dark thoughts himself having never come to terms with the loss of his wife and trying to raise their daughter in her absence.

And then there is Alison, ever organised. Her own husband Kenneth works mostly in Hong Kong but she remains tight-lipped about the circumstances or when he is likely to return. But behind closed doors, she is hiding a secret herself.

The events take place over the course of a week, culminating in the street party Alison organised to celebrate High Kingley's birthday, dating back to many moons ago (I can't remember how long). It's at this party that things go awry and police are called. But do all secrets come to the surface? Or do some remain hidden?

This is more of a domestic drama-slash-suspense which begins as a slow burn. One of the biggest reveals I had figured out not long into the story which was only confirmed when a certain discovery is made. There weren't too many twists in this mystery that wasn't really a mystery but more of a soapie drama but it still kept me entertained for the afternoon.

This book hooked me from the first page, I needed to know where the story was going. The deeper in I got, the more twists there were. The different characters and police interviews made for an interesting way to view all sides of the story. I was left with some questions at the end, maybe intentional?

I think Home is Where the Lies Live was well written. I'll be looking into more written by Kerry Wilkinson.

A good solid read. This had mystery and suspense throughout. I did have a hard time following so many characters and felt we didn’t get to know any of them enough to really feel involved. But the plot was good. It kept me guessing and there were some definite WTF moments.
Overall a book I would recommend picking up

I love a twisty thriller and this one had me reading it straight through! I wanted to figure out what each of these characters were up to and who was hiding what. It reminded me of a Shari Lapena read, if you enjoy her novels (I do!). When I read these novels, I just want to move to England and live in one of these neighborhoods (but no murders, please!). And no, I did not figure it all out. And look at that author bio. This author is on a roll!! He’s definitely one to watch.

This book has a bit of a convoluted plot, it took me several chapters before I worked out who all the characters were and how their lives intersected but it was a tense, nail biting read which is exactly what I have come to expect from this author. I look forward to his next book

I really enjoyed this book. It kept me engaged and it only took a few days to read. I think this is going to be a good book club option for several clubs. I plan recommending to my book friends and I look forward to reading more by this author.

This book started with a bang and I was well impressed. I thought, here we go, an edge of my seat few nights reading - excellent!
Unfortunately after the opening scene, we then go back 1 week to the lead up to the events. This too was a great setting as it give the read chance to play detective.
After a while I was slowly losing interest as the plot got too dreary and unrelatable, I was loosing interest on the who, what and whys.
I really related to the character of Willow as many mums of teenage girls with feel her frustration.
Sadly, the ending is what ruined it for me, after re-reading many a chapter I was still lost as to who the culprit of the murder that had happened years ago?!? What did I miss?.. Would love someone to explain it to me as I was just lost???
A solid 3 stars due to many positive but also the speed and lask of resolve.

This book was extremely well written and it was done so cleverly by the author. It felt like reading multiple stories in one and no other book has been able to do that before!
