I was lucky enough to have both the audio and digital copies of this latest release by one of my go to authors - Kerry Wilkinson.
🎧I listened to the first 50%. With multiple narrators bringing life to the neighborhood characters, all doing a fabulous job.
💻The last 50% I switched it up and read the digital copy.

For this reader the digital copy worked best. I was able to immerse myself into the neighborhood and really understand the characters at a deeper level.
I don’t think you can go wrong whichever way you decide to go.

Heidi and Freddie just moved into this neighborhood and Freddie is acting very strange. Willow, one of their neighbors, went to school with Freddie but he seems to want nothing to do with her. Dylan, a different neighbor, whose wife was murdered a few years back, is raising his young daughter and always trying to find out who killed his wife. A summer picnic seems the perfect time to get to know everyone, that is until the police show up. Did someone commit a crime or has something caught up to a killer?

Following the residents of Huntingdon Grove, there is drama and death.

This is a slow burn read but as uaual with this author you get a good ending.

I loved how the myhstery unfolded and it ended with a punch

This book follows the story of the residents of 4 homes in Huntington Grove and their daily lives in the week leading up to a block party where a tragedy occurs.

Unfortunately this book fell completely flat for me. It reads more like a drama than a thriller and I was struggling to continue reading it. The back stories of the characters dragged on for the entire book and the ending was very abrupt.

I did feel that a couple of the characters were relatable and I found myself giggling several times, which was a pleasant surprise.

This was a very good read, many characters but not overwhelming that you didn't know who belonged to whom. I felt bored with one of the characters story BUT then I felt AWE, I'm glad it worked out the way it did. I felt as if I was part of the book and I LOVE that!!! Looks like there will be a sequel???Enjoy this, you will be happy you read it.

I thought this would have been a good read apart from it was quite slow. It reminded me of the set up for desperate housewives, everyone had secrets. I didn't enjoy it much.

Another brilliant thriller from Kerry Wilkinson, this one was absolutely packed with secrets, lies and shocking twists and turns. Fantastic, I loved it!

Slow build kinda dragged for me but oh the twists! Worth it!
Kerry does an amazing job with character development, backstory and keeping momentum. I loved the audio - though so many names to keep track of, connections, kept me on my toes and confused at times.
Also loved the "neighborhood" feel - invested in their lives, comings and goings, accepting a new neighbor. Well done.

The first half was a bit slow for my liking. I enjoyed the characters, but I felt that even in the end some things were left without explanation. All in all it’s not a horrible story. Just fell flat for me.

My second book of Kerry's and I really enjoyed this one. I found at the start it to be a little hard to keep track of the different characters but once I got into the book I couldn't put it down.

Everyone has their secrets, how well do you know your husband or wife, or even those who live close to you? Keeping me engaged on needing to know how this story ended, I was really excited when the twist came out and it wasn't how I expected it to end!

Just how well do you know youe neighbours? This is a thrilling read of a couple who move to a new area, but all is not what it seems. There are plenty of secrets, lies and red herrings. I really enjoyed it, though I felt the ending was a bit rushed.

2 stars. This book centers around a week in the neighborhood of Huntington Cove, a quiet residential neighborhood with lots of secrets. The book is broken down into chapters pertaining to each character and flips back and forth between characters. Heidi and Freddie have just moved in. Since moving in, Heidi feels Freddie has been acting strange. Across the street Willow and Gabe live with Willows teen daughter Isabel. Next to them is Dylan with his 7 year old Orla. His wife was murdered 3 years ago. A few houses down is Alison whose husband is in Hong Kong most of the time for work.

A street fair is planned for the coming Saturday so we go through the week before the street fair. The book opens with an emergency call to the police from the street fair saying someone has been shot. This is an extremely slow burn. It's more of a drama than a thriller. It was very difficult for me to get a grasp on the characters as one chapter about someone would end and another character would pop up. I found the whole bunch of them strange except for Dylan and his daughter. The were very unlikable and unrelatable. One finds her husband leaves the house at 2 am yet doesn't ask him where he goes as it will just start another argument. I was left with questions about Dylan's wife Ciara and the ending was really flat and didn't make much sense to me.

This story revolves around couples living in Huntington Grove. There are Heidi and Freddie who have purchased their first home but there are some odd things going on here with Freddie keeping his office locked and not allowing Heidi to enter which maker her very suspicious of her husband.

Then there is Willow and Gabe, here is another couple hiding secrets it seems, Gabe is out at all hours of the night and Willow has major concerns of what her husband is up to. They have a teenage daughter Isabella, but Gabe is not her father.

Dylan has a daughter Orla and is a single parent, trying to navigate this role as well as he can. But Dylan is experiencing dark thoughts and there is a lot of tension regarding this character and the ramifications of some of his actions

Alison is married to Kenneth who works a lot overseas but there are also some strange goings on in this house too. Alison is the neighbourhood organiser, a role she takes very seriously but annoys the heck out of others.

Everyone has their own agendas, and all are telling lies and hiding parts of their lives from others. This is a very entertaining read that keeps you guessing to the end which does wrap things up nicely. This is the first book that I've ever read by this author, Home is where the lies live is full of suspense that kept me wanting to keep reading, it was an enjoyable read.

This book is a look into the lives of several people during a week in Huntington Grove. This quiet neighborhood is definitely having a rough time of it, and right before their yearly block party too. The story starts with a recording of an emergency call from the party, then we go back to the beginning of the week to see how everything culminated into chaos. First, the main characters, who at first I thought were entertaining but one-dimensional, but all became more deep and likable/unlikable as the book went on…

Heidi and Freddie are moving in this week; after living in a small apartment, they have now saved enough money for a house in the suburbs. Why does Freddie keep his new office locked though, and why is he so silent when he finds out he’s now neighbors with someone from his past?

Willow knew Freddie in high school, and now years later, she is living across the street from him with her husband Gabe, and her teenage daughter, Isabella. Why do she and her daughter argue so much, and why is her husband out all hours of the night?

Dylan is a single father to Orla, who is being bullied for being a female football player. Dylan’s wife Celia was murdered a few years prior; why do people still suspect this genteel man was the killer?

Alison is the overbearing party organizer, whose husband Kenneth is away in Hong Kong. They are a childless couple, so why is there always yelling coming from their house?

Everyone on this street has their secrets, and they’re all quite good. This whole book was so entertaining as it led up to the party, but then what happens that day is a total shock. Actually, there are several shocks - I thought for sure I had a couple parts of this book pegged, but I was very surprised by everything that came out in the end. My only complaint was that the ending was abrupt, and a couple of smaller plot points were left dangling, but otherwise, this was great. This is the first book I’ve read by the author, and it won’t be my last. 4.5 stars!

This is a brilliantly written and extremely tense thriller which I raced through as I was hooked and couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next.

Huntingdon Grove seems like a lovely place to live and on the surface all the residents seem friendly. Under the surface though all is not as it seems and people are not who they appear to be.

There are some shocking revelations and the book builds to a cracking ending at the street party with all the residents begins.

Great characters and some truly amazing writing had me on the edge the of my seat and I couldn’t put the book down, waiting to see what was coming next. It’s told by several points of view which helps sustain the interest but every character has their own story to tell.

Highly recommended.

Like all of Kerry Wilkinson's books, I enjoyed this immensely. It was difficult at first to keep track of all the characters and their partners.
It kept me on the edge of my seat, wondering who the shooter was at the street party, and it was quite a surprise when that person was revealed!

I recommend.

Freddie move to a new neighborhood but there is some sort of connection between some of these people. Heidi can’t figure out what is going on with her husband. Meanwhile, willow also cannot figure out what is going on with her husband. Everyone has secrets. Dylan can’t let go of his wife dying, but it is that connected to any of the other people? There is def a lot here and a lot of characters. Hard to keep everyone straight but it was good!

Everyone at the party will be questioned. But everyone will lie…And with every household hiding something, who has a secret big enough to kill for?

I enjoy books where everyone in the different houses has secrets to hide. It's always interesting to see the stories unravel. Well written !!

Every home has secrets and some are a bit more sinister than the others. In this story though they all could compete to win the title of most sinister one!

I always enjoy reading books about the families living on a certain street and organising a street party. Often the family who just moved in are trying to get to now their neighbours and fitting in and it's a perfect opportunity for the readers to get acquainted with the other families too and of course the street party is the time and the place often all things are revealed.

I was deeply immersed in this book and my mouth fell open a couple of times. 

You think you know the people living in the same house as you do. You think you know the people living next to you or across from you. It seems like you know nobody at all.

I totally enjoyed this book and I loved the author slipping in a lighter part describing the situation about Willow's parents. 

I loved Orla and I felt for her. 

A great book as per usual/ 5 stars
