Thank you NetGalley and Joffe Books for an eye catching book The Bachelorette Party. This novel kept me on my toes, I really didn’t know how it was going to end. I absolutely LOVED the different plots going on and the characters were great for each story. I was confused about the pizza situation but All in All it was an entertaining read. I thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you again.

Wow, this novel was a thrill to read, a murder after Maggie's hen party with her 5 closest friends and the bride to be gets the call that Angie is dead as she wakes up beside a stranger she picked up in the club.
The remaining 5 women come under close scrutiny from the detectives investigating the case but their stories are not concise as all have secrets they want kept hidden.
The novel is so cleverly written that as the reader you're torn as to who did kill Angie and the reasons behind it. Very often in these sort of novels I have correctly guessed who the culprit is but not in this one. The double epilogue is sublime as it still leaves you second guessing.
I'm grateful to Netgalley and Joffe Books for this advanced copy. I will leave my review on Goodreads, Bookmory and Storygraph now and then on Amazon on publication day

Saturday, 7.48am. I wake to the sound of my phone ringing and a sick, sinking feeling that I’m not alone. It’s the morning after my bachelorette party. Fourteen days until my wedding. I have the worst hangover of my life, and there’s a stranger in bed next to me!! Great read! I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book! It had great suspense, murder, mystery, intrigue, action, a sort of who done it and a few crazy twists and turns! The storyline was very interesting! I highly recommend reading this book as it was well worth reading! Thank you NetGalley and Joffe books, my favorite, for sharing this book with me!

I just started to listen to this book and I am in for this psychological thriller. Sounds so good from the first few pages. I am hooked and excited for this book. Thank you Netgalley and publisher I get to preview this arc since it was read now. I tend to hate books that I requested and got denied.

Save the pub date it is on December 9,2024 and you would need to buy the copy! Good book so far and full review to follow!

Catherine O'Connell’s Bachelorette Party is a saucy, suspenseful, and humorous journey into the messy and unpredictable world of friendship, jealousy, and wedding festivities gone awry. In this novel, O'Connell combines humor and drama to weave a captivating tale that explores how friendships can be tested to their limits when life's big events bring personal insecurities and past grievances to the surface.*

The story centers on protagonist Zadie, a smart, independent woman in her thirties who is experiencing some serious reservations about the upcoming marriage of her best friend, Helen. Zadie’s mixed emotions drive the plot, as she’s torn between genuine happiness for Helen and her own nagging fears about what marriage might mean for their friendship. At Helen’s extravagant bachelorette party in Las Vegas, things take a dark and chaotic turn as buried secrets, alcohol-fueled antics, and unresolved grudges collide in the wild, vibrant setting of Sin City.

What sets Bachelorette Party apart is O'Connell's skillful depiction of female friendships under pressure, making the novel feel both relatable and painfully real. Her characters are written with honesty, showcasing each of their insecurities, vulnerabilities, and strengths in a way that invites the reader to reflect on their own friendships. The layered tension in the story feels natural, and the unexpected twists keep readers engaged, moving the plot forward at a steady pace.

Though Bachelorette Party has all the hallmarks of a light-hearted "chick-lit" novel, it dives deeper into themes of jealousy, self-worth, and the painful process of growing up and growing apart. O’Connell captures these emotions with wit and poignancy, wrapping them in a story that’s equal parts thrilling and thought-provoking. It’s a book that manages to be entertaining while raising questions about the sacrifices we make for love and friendship.

O'Connell's witty, fast-paced narrative and her knack for exploring complex emotional terrain make *Bachelorette Party* an enjoyable read that offers more than meets the eye. Fans of women’s fiction, especially those who enjoy stories about friendship and the sometimes bumpy journey toward self-acceptance, will find this novel a satisfying read with a twisty, unexpected ending that leaves a lasting impression.
