This is such a long book that sadly felt boring and repetitive. The book picks up immediately after the ending from book three and we are thrown into the action immediately, which I loved. I enjoyed the first part but struggled as the story progressed as it started dragging in the middle and had far more filler than plot.

I think the story had too many POVs with a new one also added. It took me a while to place the character as their last appearance was in the first book. For most of the book everyone is separated making it harder to keep track of the story and I kept forgetting what happened previously. Whilst there were a lot of POVs I liked that it resulted in short chapters.

I found some of the authors decisions were strange and some need more explanation. We are introduced to a new and supposedly important character only for them to be killed in the battle. This felt unrewarding as it didn’t add anything to the story and only served as a plot device. I also feel like the Void Queen should have appeared earlier in the series rather than waiting until the last book.

The ending felt rushed and underwhelming. I’m glad that Veyka got her happy ending but I would have liked to have seen the others happy as well. I understand that the series shows how everyone handles trauma differently but so felt like so much was thrown at the characters and they never caught a break.

This series had a lot of potential, I enjoyed some parts but I don’t think it needed to be four books. However for a debut author, I am impressed that the writing has improved over the course of the series. I am intrigued to see what the author brings out next and will be reading it.

If you’re looking for a completed series to binge that is a loose Arthurian retelling with magic and prophecies this could be the series for you. There’s also court intrigue, fated mates and a strong female character.

I really enjoyed this book! The story is very good and it definitely picked up the pace from the third book in this series. I would highly recommend!

While the previous volume was a bit boring, this one was absolutely amazing and 100% worth reading the 3rd volume just to get to this one.

I liked how the story evolved and especially how much Veyka changed. The story reminded me of Throne of Glass at times, but it wasn't as heartbreaking as that one. There is still a lot of pain tho.

I found this ending to be absolutely fitting and it left me feeling very happy and fulfilled after reading this series. It's been quite a bit of time since I finished a series (many ongoing series at the moment), and seeing a story reaching its conclusion in such a satisfying manner, was an wonderful experience.

All in all, I liked the series a lot and I'll read more books by this author.

✨Queen of Blood and Vengeance✨

What. A. Finale! So much comes to a head; so many ends tied up; so many answers and nail biting twists, losses, and loves. Book 4 in The Secrets of the Faerie Crown is the conclusion to a spicy epic fae series and romance you won’t want to miss out on!

In this final installment, we follow our favorite mated couple, Veyka and Arran, as the faces of war come to fruition. It is all about prophecies, allis, hope, loyal friends, unconditional love, and sacrifice within these pages. Alongside our spicy couple, we get three extra POVs that give us so much insight and is how Emberly drives us to never put down the book as she layers them so strategically!

I was able to read this series all the way through and I’m so glad that I did. It’s going to be so hard moving on from these characters who I’ve seen grow, conquer, and face fears and hopelessness. Emberly did such a great job bringing it all together to see how each tiny decision and event from even the very beginning meant something and affected the outcomes.

Tropes you may find in this series are fated mates, political intrigue and plot twists, high spice, mind talking, comfort and mental health rep, feminine rage, multidimensional characters, elemental and shifter fae, King Arthur retelling, burn the world for him/her, epic world building, and the list can just go on!

Thank you so much to Emberly and netgalley for this gifted arc. Each second was an absolute delight.

You want to know what my book kryptonite is? When I can trauma bond with the main character. There’s an art to being able to capture the intense and depth of emotion that is both relatable and appropriate for the experiences. I love walking away from reading a book with an emotional withdrawal because I was so intune with the character. That being said, I feel so many things from this book. It was such a wonderful close to the series even though I’m not sure I’m ready to move on. Alas. What a ride.

Finished the series. This was much better albeit a little long! I felt like a lot of it could’ve been condensed but overall it was a great conclusion to the series. Evander kind of came out of no where and I wish we would have gotten more a back story on him and his wife. I did love the friendships and growth between all the characters.

Thank you to Netgalley and Emberly Ash for the arc.

After the cliffhanger at the end of book 3 (which I definitely didn’t see coming), the agonizing wait for the final installment was finally over—and I found time to dive in.

This book was action-packed and chaotic in the best way, leaving me questioning my sanity more than once. I had no idea what was happening half the time, and the twists kept me on my toes. From the revelations about Mordred and Mya to the shocking truth of Veyka’s soul being a succubus, I was floored.

I loved that Lyrena and Gwyn found solace in each other—it was such a heartfelt touch. The happy ending was exactly what I needed, though I could’ve done without Mordred’s death (why, Emberly, why!?).

Overall, this was a satisfying conclusion to an incredible journey. I can’t wait to check out Emberly’s new series!

I am excited to have this series complete and all wrapped up after the four books. I hope that Veyka gets time to rest, cause she had a tough life. I hope she gets to snuggle up with Arran on a snowy mountain somewhere and just sleep for like five weeks straight. You’ve earned it babe.

It was wonderful to come back to these characters. As Veyka and Arran work to unite the races and fight against the succubus, tensions are high and alliances must still be forged. The amorite that protects men from the succubus is in short supply, and details of a prophecy come to light and make things incredibly difficult for our heroes.

Queen of Blood and Vengeance is the thrilling conclusion to the Secrets of the Faerie Crown series, a dark fantasy romance that twists the Arthurian legend into a high-stakes, steamy adventure. The story follows Veyka Pendragon, a fierce and determined queen, and Arran Earthborn, her loyal and passionate companion, as they navigate a world filled with magic, betrayal, and heart-pounding action.

Veyka Pendragon's destiny is anything but ordinary. As the rightful queen, she has faced enemies both human and faerie, all while grappling with her own inner demons. Alongside Arran Earthborn, her steadfast ally and love, Veyka must confront the darkness that threatens to consume their world. Betrayals and secrets test their bond, but their determination remains unbroken. As they prepare for the final battle, they reflect on the sacrifices made and the blood that has been spilled. Their journey is perilous, but together, they aim to reclaim Veyka's throne and bring peace to their land—or die trying.

In this final instalment, everything culminates in a breath taking showdown. Veyka's journey is one of blood, vengeance, and the quest for survival. The character growth is phenomenal, and the romance is both intense and emotionally devastating. Emberly Ash does not hold back, delivering a finale that is both satisfying and heart-wrenching.

The world-building is rich and immersive, with dark elements that keep readers on the edge of their seats. The plot twists and turns, keeping the tension high until the very last page. The series sets the bar for dark fantasy, blending mythology with a modern twist that is both unique and captivating.

Overall, Queen of Blood and Vengeance is a powerful and gripping conclusion to a series that will leave fans of dark fantasy and romance thoroughly satisfied. It's a must-read for those who enjoy epic tales of magic, revenge, and love.

Firstly thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to read this ARC.
I’m so sad to be at the end of this series because of how much I loved the world and its characters.

If you want a dark and spicy twist on a King Arthur retelling this is absolutely it. The characters have so much depth and uniqueness, the world building and magic system is well thought out, and the romance/spice between the two MCs is *chefs kiss*.

Without giving any spoilers for this book specifically- boy did this one have me on the edge of my seat almost the entire time. We know Veyka is going to have to make the ultimate sacrifice (don’t worry there’s a HEA) and the build up and tension leading up to it is so good.
I can confidently say that I was never bored because of how often shit is hitting the fan for every character.
I also really loved the side plot romances for other characters. I do wish this was explored more towards the end though.

Overall this is such a solid series that deserves so much more hype than it gets!

What an epic way to end such an epic series!

I am so glad I had the pleasure of following Veyka and Arran on their journey these last four books. I laughed with Lyrena, I cried with Cyara, and I longed with our two beautiful mains. I loved seeing so many different POVs in this one. It really gave this book the global feeling that I think Ash was trying to relay. Like, this is it, it's all coming to a head now.

I don't know much else to say that I haven't already said about the rest of the series. The battle scenes are always A+, but the final battle truly was epic. The ending was more than earned. And these characters will live in my heart forever.

You know how you get so engrossed in a book that you literally turn off the world around you? This was one of those books for me! I’m so glad to that I got to read the final installment of a series that has hooked me since book one. Although I am sad to see the characters’ story come to and end I feel very satisfied with how it all worked out!

Oh my I know it had to end somehow but boy did this destroy me at times ! Veyka has had such a hard life and even now with her Mate and friends by her side she’s the one who has to give up something so precious that no one should ever be in that position .
The author has truly pulled it out of the bag in this final instalment with love and pain in equal measures .This fantastical take on Arthurian legend has been impossible to put down but I think it’s the surrounding characters who truly helped to make this feel vital and real . Of course I enjoy romance but for this reader the joy here is that I found myself truly sinking into this world and leaving reality behind bravo !
This voluntary take is of a copy I requested and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fa

The prophecy is falling into place and none of our beloved characters are safe!  This is a wonderfully thrilling conclusion to the series and I'm slightly sad at leaving Veyka, Arran and Co. behind.

The multiple POV's let you crawl inside the minds of our characters and the action scenes are explosive.  The spicy scenes are mwaaaah!

Vekya just keeps rallying, when she thinks she's faced everything the universe can throw at her, it raises the bar and she gives the new disaster her all.  Arran knows Veyka is his everything but that doesn't stop him putting his foot in it.  Together they will lose friends, family, find allies and seek justice from themselves and Annwyn.

Veyka could be an all-powerful, vengeful queen but she has learned restraint and that there is a time and a place to lose herself in anger.  She is the epitome of vengeance not revenge and where many would kill everyone who had ever harmed her, cutting a swath through the population, she strikes surgically and strategically.

I have never swore so much or cried in joy and sadness so much with a book in ages. All hail the High Queen and King!

Will the void prophecy be fulfilled? It is a race against the clock to find the grail. Will they find it in time to save their realm?

This is the final installment in this series and it didn’t disappoint. This book was action packed! The POV changes between many characters to allow us to piece together the story.

Thank you to Emberly Ash, Cara Maxwell Romance, and NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

4.5 rounding up to 5 stars!

This was a great conclusion to the end of Vekyas story. I can’t give away spoilers but I love the closure we get on certain characters IYKYK 👀 and there is still an amazing twist I did not see coming!

I loved the multiple POV in this story and watching them all weave together.

While I am sad to say goodbye to Vekya and Arran I cannot wait to see what Emberly has in store for her next book.

Thank you Emberly for letting me be part of your street team and for providing NetGalley with ARCs.

She never misses, another great book in the series that I absolutely devoured in a day.
I can't say enough good things about it

I generally prefer to read about the build up to war and the aftermath of war than the war itself but Queen of Blood and Vengeance a solid end to a great series. I liked seeing Veyka and Arran's continued growth and development but because the book focused on the war, I felt it had less emotional heft. I also felt that the introduction of a new POV also diluted the emotional impact and although I appreciated that it was necessary to move the plot forward, I didn't particularly care about it. Overall, I enjoyed the novel and it was a worthy conclusion to the series. I will definitely be picking up Emberly Ash's new series when it's released next year.

An epic end to this King Arthur inspired series. The tension and action were great but the multiple POVs got to be a little much. I lost track of who was who.

Read if you like:

-Sacrifice
-Battles
