Such a sweet children's book coming straight from the heart of a mother to her child. I loved the sweet illustrations that went along with the pages as well. Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the advanced copy of this book. All thoughts are my own.

A mother’s dreams for her child begin before they are born and continue as they grow and discover dreams of their own. From Kate Wood, the writer of the award-winning Wood and Spoon blog and author of Her Daily Bread comes this beautiful picture book about a mother’s love, God's plans, and the vast potential in every child. Beautifully written about dreaming for you.

I absolutely loved this darling picture book! The story and illustrations are not only perfect for young readers but for the young at heart. Easy to read, with a powerful message. I really want to call out the diversity in the book showing children and adults of different races, genders, and physical abilities. This book shows that dreams have not limits. I also love the Scripture Guide at the end of this book. I highly recommend this book. It's a perfect story to add to your bedtime story time and for schools to show the love and hope/dreams we have for our family and for ourselves.

A very sweet book told from a mother’s perspective as she imagines what her child will be like, and then what story God will write for them. This book emulates character qualities that we all would desire to see in our children, and also shows the diversity of different children throughout. The end of the book also features a scripture list. Beautiful illustrations are the cherry on top!

This will be my new go-to baby shower gift! I Dream for You is a beautiful story about the dreams that we, as mothers, have for our babies and how those dreams evolve as our children grow. When we are pregnant, we spend so much time dreaming about and imagining what our babies will look like and all of the fun things we will do together. As our babies grow, we begin to dream about the people they will become and the great things they will accomplish and do with their lives. This book captures those feelings perfectly! As a Christian, I really appreciated the references to God and to following the plan that He has prepared for our lives. I also appreciated the diversity in the gorgeous illustrations. The illustrator did a wonderful job of creating pictures that evoke feelings of love and hope, and I found myself getting emotional as I thought about the dreams that I have for my own children.

I Dream for You is a heart warming book with beautiful illustration. This book is recommendable as a daily or bedtime story to be read to the littles. My son and I read the book together and we both got teary eyed. This book brings back nostalgic memories for the mom readers of their pregnancy, newborn, and early childhood phases. It will bring hope for a future mother-to-be. Whether your child is still very young or all grown, it's a summation of what every parent wishes and dreams of for their child even before their birth day. The diverse nationalities in the book is also appreciated. It was great for my child to see characters similar to him included in this book. This drew his interest and appreciation even more during storytime.

I absolutely loved this adorable picture book! Kate Wood uses a rhythmic tone that helps young readers easily follow the text and focus on the wonderful message - that there is a life dreamt for each one of us. I have to point out the diversity in the illustrated characters in regards to race, gender, and physical capability. There is a chance for so many children to see a mirror of themselves as scientists, opera singers, ballerinas, and even astronauts within the illustrated faces on the pages. Definitely making this one part of our physical library!

This story was super adorable and kept my 2.5 year old engaged! There weren’t a ton of words on each page, and she loved looking over the illustrations. The story was also rhyming in nature which also helped with keeping her interested!

Thanks to Zonderkidz for the gifted copy. All opinions are my own.

What a lovely book about all the dreams that we as moms have for our babies, but also even more about the plans God has written for their lives. I found it just so sweet. This would be a fantastic gift for an expectant mother in your life for her to read over her sweet infant. It also is sweet to read over older children as well.

This book has super inclusive illustrations that only add to its loveliness.

Note for friends who have adopted: this book is not adoption friendly.

This is a super cute story to read to your kids. I love how it started off with the dreams we as mom have for our children before they are born. I thought all those thoughts the author Kate Wood mentioned. The book then drifts into the dreams you as a mother have for your children now and then to how we want them to dream big in the future. I like the arc flow of it.

The book is suitable to read to a baby up through elementary. It is meant for connection between you and your child. The illustrations are super cute and diversity is represented in the images.

I feel like the ending drops off a bit with telling kids to stay true to yourself and be proud, I think it should have gone the route of following the plan God has for your life not your own.

Thank you Zonderkidz for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

Thank you to Netgalley and Kate Woods team for allowing me an early release copy of this book. The pictures are beautiful and it flows beautifully. The Bible verses in the back of the book is also an amazing add in for Christian mom's that are looking to stay in the Word. This book is such a sweet story of a mom's hopes and dreams as she watches her child grow. As I was reading it to my little girls, I started to tear up. Definitely a great read for connection and comfort.
