The hits keep coming for Noelle. From her boyfriends betrayal, her aunts accident and her flight getting cancelled. Which she needs so she's able make it back to her hometown to collect her inheritance before its too late. Enter Kol who Noelle is immediately annoyed with but it seems he may be the only one that can help her, to her dismay.

I struggled to get through this one. It was pretty cheesy and the main characters weren't particularly likeable. My mistake was assuming this was a cutesy Hallmark style Christmas book but it was mainly love at first sight smut. The story line seemed a little unrealistic since they fell for each other within 12 hours.

Thank you Net Galley for this e-ARC!

Cute story, but I didn’t really love the main Characters, so I had a hard time getting into the story.

Evie James' Christmas Cancellation is a lighthearted and charming holiday read that delivers a cozy escape, perfect for readers looking for a quick, festive story. The novel centers around the protagonist, who finds herself unexpectedly canceling Christmas plans in favor of a quiet, low-key holiday. As she navigates this decision, she finds herself reevaluating her life, relationships, and what truly matters during the holiday season.

While the novel offers some endearing moments and a bit of seasonal cheer, it lacks the emotional depth that could have elevated it from a standard holiday romance to something more memorable. The characters are likable, but they don’t feel as fleshed out or complex as they could be. The plot, while charming, follows familiar holiday tropes, and much of the narrative feels predictable.

James' writing is easy to follow, and the pacing is smooth, making this an easy, feel-good read for fans of cozy, seasonal stories. The humor and lighthearted moments are enjoyable, though they sometimes come across as a bit forced, detracting from the overall warmth of the story.

While Christmas Cancellation provides a pleasant and festive distraction, it doesn't offer much in terms of originality or emotional punch. It’s a nice, if somewhat forgettable, read for the holiday season—perfect for those who want something light and easy but not groundbreaking.

Christmas Cancellation is a lovely holiday romance that is sure to warm your heart on a cold winter day. Noelle Nichols, a woman on the brink of losing everything, and Kol Vinter, the grumpy yet caring pilot who might just be her Christmas miracle, make for an unforgettable pairing. Their unlikely journey together—through snowstorms, heartache, and a tiny town filled with festive charm— pulled me in from the very first page.
Noelle’s struggles and Kol’s hidden wounds create a beautiful balance of vulnerability and strength, making their slow-burn romance both steamy and deeply emotional. The snowball fights and small-town moments add just the right touch of warmth, while the undeniable chemistry between the characters will kept me the turning pages.
The perfect blend of holiday magic and real-life challenges, the story reminds us that sometimes, the best things in life come when we least expect them. If you’re looking for a feel-good read with plenty of laughs, tears, and a sprinkle of Christmas magic, this book is the perfect choice. It’s a beautiful reminder that even in the midst of life’s messiness, love has a way of making everything right again.

I enjoyed this one.
A good holiday romance.
The characters were really well written. The romance was spicier than I had anticipated - which isn't a bad thing. The banter and sarcasm between the main characters was entertaining.
The story had a good level of mental health representation.
I did feel that to much happened in short space of time, which made it a bit harder to connect with the story. I think I may be becoming more partial to a slow burn in my old age.

I'll be recommending this book to add to people's christmas tbr.

I really struggled with this one. I kept finding excuses to do anything other than read, which should’ve been a clear sign that it wasn’t clicking for me. By the time I got to the last 10-15%, I was just skimming because I was bored and barely invested in the story. I couldn’t feel the chemistry between the characters, and honestly, I didn’t connect with either of them. Even the steamy scenes felt forced, like they were trying too hard. I struggled so much with this one that I’m not even up for writing my usual review — if that tells you anything. So far, I’m 0/2 for Christmas reads this season. If you’ve found a good one, feel free to share!

I am a sucker for a holiday rom-com and even better when it has a travel aspect to it!
This is a heartfelt, sizzling Christmas romance novel that includes fun, spicy encounters. It's a retelling of a classic Christmas story that's full of holiday charm, snowball fights, and a steamy chemistry between the main characters, Noelle and Kol (because of course those are their names )
Noelle is stranded in an airport and has to get to her next destination to claim her inheritance.
Kol, a former military pilot and commercial airline pilot, is also stranded in the snowstorm.
Kol offers to drive Noelle to her destination, and they discover they have a lot in common.

I enjoyed reading their dynamic and Kol was definitely Swoonworthy. This is the perfect holiday read for those who love love, Christmas, spice, and laughter!

Features:
Forced proximity, Opposites attract, Small town, Blizzard, Angsty heroine, and Grump.

I loved this! I honestly couldn’t put it down! Kol was just the right amount of grumpy for me. They both had pain in their past they were dealing with, and Kol seemed to be exactly what Noelle needed. And the spice was definitely spicing!! The only thing that put me off a little bit was how fast everything happened. Like, I don't think it even took them more than 12 hours to hook-up the first time and Kol was like, 'I'm not letting her go" that fast?? Alas, it was indeed a good read. Perfect for a palate cleanser.

This was a lighthearted read that hit all the right Christmas vibes! Noelle and Kol were great characters - I loved their personality chemistry, especially how Kol was protective around Noelle (despite the grumpiness). It was just a fun, holiday romance to fit the mood.

My only issue was that the format of my galley didn't cooperate with my e-reader, but that doesn't affect my rating - just a note for NetGalley.

A pretty typical Christmas rom com. I didn't love it, but it was a quick read around the holidays. That could easily be read in a day.

Oh, this book was such a delightful surprise! It started like your classic holiday romance—two strangers, Kol and Noelle, stuck in an airport after a cancelled flight—but things took a much deeper turn than I expected. I was ready for cozy Christmas vibes, but I didn’t realize I’d be diving into some heavier emotional territory. That said, the story handled those moments beautifully, and I’m so glad I read it.

Kol and Noelle’s connection was instant—like blink and they’re in love kind of instant. Normally, that would make me roll my eyes, but their chemistry was undeniable, and they actually spent time digging into each other’s pasts, fears, and quirks. Between silly icebreaker questions and heartfelt confessions, their relationship felt both fun and meaningful.

Noelle’s journey hit me in the feels. She’s been carrying so much pain, and watching her finally confront it—with Kol’s gentle encouragement—was so rewarding. Kol wasn’t just some hot holiday fling; he was exactly what she needed to heal and grow. And let’s talk about the spice—oh my, did it bring the heat! The intimacy between them was on another level, even though their relationship was barely a few days old.

The only hiccup for me was this nickname Kol gave Noelle early on. It didn’t land for me, and I kept waiting for him to tweak it or drop it entirely. But hey, it’s a small thing in an otherwise heartwarming read.

If you’re looking for a romance with a mix of steamy moments, emotional depth, and all the twinkling holiday magic, this book delivers! It’s definitely a story I’ll be thinking about all season long.

Thanks so much for the ARC! This book took me a while to read - I really appreciated the triggers at the beginning. As someone who has lost a parent, I'm glad that I could be prepared before diving in. This was an easy read during the holiday season - I enjoyed the plot and liked that holiday vibes of it.
