This was an enemies to lovers, forced proximity romance. Noelle returns to get hometown with a big backstory with Lol, the pilot from her recently cancelled flight. Overall, this book was an entertaining read, with good pacing. Most of the book takes place over a few days, which is why I found the relationship development between the characters to be mostly unrealistic. If you can suspend belief for the relationship pacing, this is an entertaining quick holiday read. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC

This was such a sweet story! I laughed so much, I cried, and I felt with the characters. I love this author so much, and I'm so happy to be part of her team!

Noelle is stranded at the airport, desperately trying to get back to sign paperwork in regards to her aunt's will. She's not going to make it. The flight is canceled. What on earth is she going to do now? But wait...the pilot from her flight is putting her in her place from complaining. Who does he think he is?

Kol is the pilot on the grounded flight, also stuck here, not getting paid, as he eloquently points out to a sassy, complaining Noelle. An offer for a ride through the storm turns into so much more than they could ever hope for.

Overall, I enjoyed the story. It took a few chapters to get into it, as I strongly disliked the main characters at first. Of course, as they soften up toward each other, I found myself softening toward them as well.
Personally, I was hoping for more Christmas-related content, but then I didn't read the summary too closely. It's definitely set at Christmas, so you've got some meals, a market, etc.
It's definitely an open-door story, so be aware, if that's not your thing.

This was a feel-good festive read, packed with romance and plenty of spice ๐Ÿ”ฅ.
I loved the storyline of the book with the stranded theme occurring, from cancelled flights to being stuck in a snow storm, the story really did have it all. The writing style of the book was so easy to read and I instantly became engrossed with Noelle's life and my heart really went out to her. She was so vulnerable and dealing with a lot of grief, but her strength really increased as the story progressed and her character development was so evident to see.
Kol was just perfect ๐Ÿ˜. He seemed a true gentleman who really did bring the spice to the story. I liked the relationship between them and although it could be a little predictable, the ending was just perfect!
The settings of the book were just so idyllic, with the small town feel and the snow storm occurring. Christmas seemed so picturesque and was everything I was hoping for within the book.

If youโ€™re looking for a quick Christmas read with SPICY SPICE and a little plot. This is your book.

A cancelled flight at Christmas time leads to Kol driving Noelle home to wrap up some family paperwork. During the road-trip we learn a little more about each of their histories and where they came from.

Noelle has so much emotional baggage itโ€™s kind of exhausting to be along for the ride. She has dealt with all of her trauma, grief, and hurt is such an unhealthy way. When Kol meets her she is literally a mess and he has to carry/deal with all her mess/baggage. Her character wasnโ€™t sassy so much as annoying.

I loved Kols personality. He was so so sweet beneath all his layers and has some of the sweetest lines to Noelle. He is literally โ€œthe perfect manโ€ if you could write that. He was really sweet to walk through all her trust issues, grief, and all her baggage with her. To encourage her(which literally felt like she needed it every second) that life is worth living and to help her with the loss of her parents.

The spicy scenes were really spicy people and not what I was expecting. So be warned.

A fun and spicy Christmas read-my favorite kind! This was fun to start my holiday season off with. I loved the dual point of view of Kol and Noelle. Christmas Cancellation gave me What a Wonderful Life vibes with a spicy twist!

Nothing ever goes right for Noelle until she meets no nonsense Kol who has his own baggage. They have really good banter between from the start. They get to know each other during the trip and fall in love . If you like spicy you'll love this book.

Thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for an ARC of this book.

Initially this gave off big hallmark Christmas movies vibes. As it progressed it was very spicy but sometimes when it didn't make complete sense.
I also wish the author build the story and relationship up more before it became physical. I also wish we learned more about their backstories. It was still a cute christmas story

Iโ€™ll be honest this one was a bit slow for me. I got to the midway point and felt myself wanting more faster, but in truth itโ€™s more of a me problem than the book itself.

It felt a little bit predictable at points and very similar to other romances Iโ€™ve read. Iโ€™ll admit, I donโ€™t read a LOT of romance but I will say if you love a christmassy, cutesy romance with a supportive and protective MMC, youโ€™ll definitely love this one.

Thanks so much to the author and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book!

Christmas Cancellation by Evie James was a delightful holiday romance that ticked a lot of boxes for me, earning a solid 4 stars.

The festive vibes were spot-on, and I loved the blend of classic holiday tropes like forced proximity and opposites attract. Noelle and Kol's chemistry was undeniable, and their banter kept me hooked from the beginning. The snowy road trip and small-town holiday charm gave the story a cozy, feel-good atmosphere that made it perfect for the season.

That said, there were moments where the pacing felt a bit rushed, especially considering the entire story unfolded in such a short time. While I enjoyed the spicy scenes, a few of them felt slightly out of sync with the emotional tone of the story. I would have liked a little more buildup to their connection to balance the heat with the heart.

Overall, Christmas Cancellation was a quick, fun, and steamy read that left me smiling. If youโ€™re looking for a festive romance with emotional depth and a touch of spice, this one is worth picking up!

Meh.

Maybe itโ€™s just that Iโ€™m getting older, but chapters-long sex scenes donโ€™t do it for me. I found myself quickly skimming over the spicy parts after the first one. Too much heat can actually make you numb.

There wasnโ€™t enough story for the way this concluded. The entire thing takes place within the span of a week. Too much happened too quickly. I just wasnโ€™t impressed.

Oh. My. God! I fell in love with Noelle and Kolโ€™s story!
Got me into the Christmas Spirit and I loved it!

I rate this a 5 star! If I could go higher I would!

the spice, the laughs, the tears, the love! It shows throughout the book and the story of them both finding one another through the hard times they have had.

Thank you NetGalley for approving my ARC!

**ARC Review**

Christmas Cancellation is a Wonderful Life remix with a lot of spice. I love a silly little Christmas Romance but this one unfortunately did not hit. The romance had no slow burn, the characters frustrated me because all of the sudden everyone is a licensed therapist(?) and I just didn't vibe with either character.

If you are into (kind of) forced proximity, kind of dom spice, and snowed in themes/tropes you might love, for me it just didn't hit - that being said I did finish it in legit a day....

Thank you Netgalley for the ARC in return for my honest review

Noelle and Kol had me racing through emotions all over the place throughout this book. Their romance was fast and furious but sprinkled in with humor, grief and trauma.

There were a few parts of the book that were a little unexpected and had me in tears as it hurt to read of the trauma that both characters experienced. It was great to see them both turn it into something great at the end although I felt that it just ended. I was a little confused when I turned the page and there was nothing left to read.

Some of the spicy parts felt a little strange too at times and too much for the way the story was going. They also, in my opinion, didn't really match how the story would go later in the book.

Thanks to Netgalley and the author for this ARC!

This was a cute festive girl goes back to her
Hometown romcom. I did enjoy it but some parts fell flat and unrealistic for me. But overall I did enjoy the flow and story of the book
