2.5/5

*Let’s Do it Already, Vol. 3* by Aki Kusaka feels like it’s losing steam. While the plot continues to get more over-the-top, the pacing has slowed down to the point where it’s starting to drag. The romantic connection between the characters, which once felt charming, now feels forced and less believable. That said, Kusaka’s artwork is as stunning as ever—detailed, expressive, and a real highlight of the series. It’s just a shame the story isn’t keeping up with the same energy. If you’re invested in the characters, you might still find some enjoyment, but for me, this volume didn’t quite hit the mark.

Quick enjoyable teen romance that will be popular with our teen romance readers. I look forward to continuing to share this series with my readers.

VIZ Media provided an early galley for review.

I had read volume 1 earlier this year and enjoyed it. I unfortunately missed out on the galley for volume 2, so starting off at this one with episode 13 I was slightly lost. It did not take too much to cactch up though.

The teaser situation of "ending up in the same bed" only gets us through the first couple episodes, and then it is so quickly dropped. The rest of the volume focuses on summer break which turns out is not a break at all for Keiichiro. So, Yuri must find ways to make sure they cross paths over the 42 days between school semesters. It is all fairly standard rom-com hijinx.

As with the first volume, what impressed me most is the artwork. Once again, Aki Kusaka has a wonderful eye for style and textures. This is really something that I gravitate towards in the manga genre.
