A comedic light novel that is a companion to the manga and anime of Kaiju No. 8. Even if you haven’t seen the show or read the manga readers will be able to pick up on the actions. However knowing the stories of the others cadets adds enjoyment.

Follow Kafka and Rio and Kikoru as a TV crew follows their training as cadets and films them in real time. Kikoru gets her special weapon and decides to upgrade it for a heavy duty one, Rio does his best to shine while covering for Kafka and Kafka just tries to keep it together and not get kicked out or worse, killed.

Any anime lover of Kaiju No. 8 would enjoy this book! It's a neat, exciting read and a wonderful addition to the genre.
