This book is full of spelling mistakes and grammatic errors, that even I, not native in the English language, had a hard time reading it. I recommend a few more rounds of editing before publishing this.
Thanks to NetGalley, the author and the publisher for this free e-ARC in exchange for an honest opinion.
small-business, small-town, fishing-community, novella, Oregon, coastal, secrets, lies, mayor, sly-humor, hero-worship, revenge*****
It starts out as a simple sly humor tale about a woman who has a noisy family history. Then comes the plot twist from the pit that upends not only her life but impacts local history in more than just one small town. Well done but will be better once the spellings are cleared up. Kind of amazing.
I requested and received a temporary uncorrected proof copy from BooksGoSocial via NetGalley. Thank you!

this has some really good ideas, i enjoyed the comedic elements and it has an intriguing premise
i really enjoyed the narrative voice and found the protagonists insights amusing but i did find myself starting to loose interest towards the end.
the writing definitely needs some editing as i noticed quite a lot of spelling and grammatical mistakes
the cover is stunning and i loved the little illustrations throught
With the short description I was hoping this would be like a cozy mystery, but tone was hard to be engaged by and there was too much language for my taste. I do like how unique the main character and her career are in this small town. It is a refreshing change to have someone in the fishing industry and reluctantly in public office.
Special thanks to the Publisher, BooksGoSocial, and Net Galley for a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
