3.75 stars. So, getting into to- it did keep me on my toes the whole time. There were twists and turns I didn’t see coming and moments that literally had me saying out loud, “wtf”. I was invested more in the side players than I was the FMC but she gave off unreliable narrator Tylenol vibes and those aren’t usually my cup of tea. Not that’s what her character is, just similar character traits. This will definitely scratch an itch for a large demographic, though.

I was very engaged with this book and really wanted to keep reading to see what was going on with the main character, Naomi, and her nemesis, Summer. Who was telling the truth? Was one of them delusional? Definitely hard to put down.

4.5 stars!!!

The moment I read the first chapter, I just couldn’t stop and devoured it until 2AM! I was invested in the story and couldn’t wait to reach the conclusion. It’s been a while since I had a hard time putting down a book. There were plot twist after plot twist then another plot twist! The only thing I can give is that, “Summer wasn’t who she said she was.” Let’s just leave it like that.

The ending was unexpected but it didn’t blow my mind off. Nevertheless, Natasha Boydell did a great job with this one. It’s my first time reading a story written by her and won’t definitely be the last one!

Thank you Netgalley and boldwood books for an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review 💙

Naomi is excited when her family's flat sells and they can move into their dream house. The purchaser, Summer, is a single mom with a daughter that she enrolls in the same class as Naomi's daughter. When Summer seems to take an undue interest in Naomi, including getting a similar hair style and buying the same clothes, Naomi is suspicious. Those suspicions grow when Naomi discovers that Summer's daughter has a doll house painted to look just like Naomi's house. She can't figure out what it is that Summer wants, but she's sure it is not good.

I began this book with high hopes as I enjoy the genre, but I found the first third of the book to be quite repetitive. The other bothersome thing is that Naomi has a strong, long-standing friend group, but they all decamp to Summer's side without giving Naomi the benefit of the doubt or seeking more information to better understand her position. That's not what friends do. I ended up skipping the middle third of the book and felt that I'd lost almost none of the story line in moving along to the finish.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC. All opinions are my own.

Sometimes delulu isn't the solulu.

Naomi wants to move to her dream house, but in order to do that, she should sell her flat. What happens when the buyer turns out to be her stalker?
This book frayed my nerves, it kept me on the edge of my chair quite literally I think I'm gonna look for her other books ♥️

A truly terrifying read. Couldn't put it down. From the hopes of a new home. Every parents nightmare that your daughter is being bullied. Slowly all your friends turn against you. Is Naomi right and Summer is not who she appears.

Loved the twists and turns will definitely look out for further books by Natasha Boydell.

I had mixed feelings about this book. The pacing was slow, and it wasn’t until the big reveal at the end that I became fully engaged. The twist was interesting but came too late to redeem the slow buildup.

I also found the side characters frustrating, particularly Naomi’s friends who immediately dismissed her, which felt like an overused trope. The ending was fun, but the lack of tension throughout left me feeling unsatisfied.

Thanks to NetGalley for the e-ARC in exchange for my honest review!

Whoa!!! What did I just read. This book was very nostalgic to me, and reminded me of a 90s teen drama/thriller move. I DEVOURED this book. It had me hooked from the beginning. This is my first book by Boydell, and it made me add all her books to my tbr list, and purchase two from Kindle. I also pre-ordered the audible edition of this book so that I can read/listen again. I feel the audio version will be even better. 5 HUGE stars!!!!

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC of this book

The premise sounded suspenseful and I wasn’t disappointed. Naomi and her family moved into their dream house once a buyer, Summer and her daughter Luna, came through with an offer. Summer came off friendly, but quickly became Naomi’s carbon copy and taking over her circle of friends. This is a twisty, fast paced thriller. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy.

What an addictive read! From the first chapter, I was intrigued - I just KNEW something about Summer was off and I felt so bad for Naomi. Just when I thought everything would be exposed, things just kept getting worse and worse for her! I wish there was a bit more of a buildup, but there was a great twist at the end that took things in a unique direction that still fit in well with the rest of the storyline. Thank you so much for this ARC - I can't wait to read more from Boydell!

A terrifyingly horrific thriller. You know from the jump that Naomi's suspicions are right, but as you are reading you feel her anguish and paranoia. It's written so well that you feel every emotion and sense of dread. Will recommend to everyone I know!

A very creepy story! It gives The Last Mrs. Parrish vibes with the lady copycat theme. Very well written as well.

4/5 stars. This book had me so uncomfortable the entire time. This was the most anxious ive ever been reading a book and I was happy it ended. Even though I liked this book. I took a deep breathe and closed my kindle app and had to digest what I just read.

Thank you Boldwood Books for the copy of The Doll’s House by Natasha Boydell. The story was great and I enjoyed trying to figure out how she was going to get out of her predicament, especially as she kept making it worse by trying to prove her suspicions were right. It was sad how quickly her friends turned on her, and it felt very immature of them. I hated how the epilogue rehashed the book’s events but from a different POV and I wish there had been a way to incorporate that POV into the main narrative. Some people will love the final reveal! 3.5 stars rounded up to 4.

I looooved this book. It had me on the edge of my seat from the get go. It was amazing how Summer got into everyones heads and how she played everyone. Highly recommend this book if you like psychological thrillers

4.5 out of 5.

This was a fantastic read! I'm a sucker for gossipy grown women drama, and this story had just the right amount. I was glued to my Kindle at all hours because I could not put it down.

**spoilers**

My only criticism is that the main plot dragged out just a touch too long. When things started getting a little too repetitive, I began to skim a tiny bit, and I hate it when my brain resorts to skimming. Oh! And Angela just, like, disappeared. Originally, I assumed she disappeared because there would be another twist involving her, but then she was barely mentioned again.

Otherwise, I was captivated. There were a few big and small twists throughout that I didn't see coming, and I felt satisfied when I finished.

Yikes! That is a true nightmare come to life for me! Naomi and her family just moved into a new house, selling their old flat to a very nice woman named Summer, whose daughter will be starting school at the same one that Naomi's daughter Freya goes to. What really got me was the frustration and horror that Naomi experienced as her friends turn on her and when she tried to tell them what was going on, no one believed her and just thought she was losing it. I had my own moments where I wasn't sure if Naomi just had it all in her head, as she was so stressed by the new house and its issues. What made it even worse was when her daughter Freya may or may not have become a victim of the same machinations of Summer and her daughter. So many creepy bits and in this case, imitation is not the sincerest form of flattery!

So, yes, this was a thrilling book with some very nice twists and was hard to put down as I had to see what happened next in the showdown between Summer and Naomi! Nicely creepy ending too! Left me with a shiver.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a chance to read this book!
