This story truly was one I COULD NOT put down.

I totally love when there are multiple narrators – they were all great in performing the characters.

I have read other Kerry Wilkinson stories and just love them!.
My fav was- "The Party at Number "]!

Home Is Where the Lies Live kept me on my toes and turning the pages! I loved the secrets, the tension, the questioning, the lying, and the shocking reveals. This was the 15th book that I have read by Kerry Wilkinson. I always get excited when I see he has a new book coming out! I can't wait to read what he writes next!

I’m a sucker for these kind of books, anything resembling Wisteria Lane and you’ve already got me. The author did a great job of building suspense and intrigue and for a while I really didn’t know where the story was going. He also did that clever thing where you guess each twist moments before it’s revealed which leaves you feeling clever but satisfied it wasn’t too obvious.

The audiobook narration was great, I love when there’s multiple narrators for each POV. Overall, I really enjoyed this book and would definitely read from this author again.

The Praise: I enjoyed the different perspectives and stories of the characters. I also enjoyed the romance between Dylan and Beth.

The Critique: It just didn’t feel finished. I know we technically know what happened but I would’ve liked to see the characters get closure.

Final Thoughts: This was fine. It kept me interested and I liked the narrators.

Home is where the lies live is a compelling domestic thriller of interwoven lives of the people at a house party. The pacing of this book by Kerry Wilkinson is constant, balancing in-depth character development with the direction and twists of the plot itself. This keeps your interest as I listened to this book in two sittings and couldn't wait to get back to listening.

The characters were well developed and likeable, even if some of the discussions these made weren't the best. I really enjoy books like this as the characters feel whole and human.

Narrated by Matthew Spencer, Rebecca Lee, Julia Barrie, these 3 people did a remarkable job in bringing the characters and plot out of the pages.

This high quality action packed well paced audiobook had me totally engrossed. An event happens at the street party. We don't know what but then there are interwoven stories as rhe characters on the street are introduced. The stories is told from multiple residents pov both male and female. There are sone red herrings in there and it had me listening long into the night desperate for a resolve . Behind close doors there are so nany secrets and things are always what they appear.
The narration was engaging.. I really enjoyed the reveal and could see a sequel or novelle. A lot of the secrets were omg really. This is highly recommended to all mystery lovers. The setting us ordinary but tye characters and their secrets far from. This felt a quick lisyen.

When Heidi and Freddie move into their new house, they believe they have found the perfect home, but when Freddie meets Willow, their new neighbour but also an old classmate, he starts to behave strangely. Willow has her own issues, with husband Gabe going out every night and another neighbour, Stepford-Wife-style Alison, lives alone, so why is there terrible screaming heard from her house? Dylan is doing his best to raise his daughter alone, after his wife was murdered, is he the killer?

There is so much going on in this little neighbourhood and my head was spinning! So many secrets, so many lies and a whole heap of twisty truths about be revealed at the neighbourhood party!

I really enjoyed this book, it's a page turner for sure! I would have liked the ending to be less abrupt and to have tied up some loose ends. The narration by Matthew Spencer, Rebecca Lee and Julia Barrie was excellent. I felt they capture the character's personalities brilliantly and I really appreciated multiple narrators to make it easy to know who was telling the story in each chapter.

Thank you to net gallery and the publisher for letting me read this arc copy of the book. This book has so many different turns and twist in it that I didn’t expect at all. I liked how all the characters were told and how they were all so different and so well diverse in this book. This is the 1st book I have read by this author and I will be reading more of there books. I liked how each character had their own secrets in this book and that it all explodes at the end and most of the secrets come out. I was shocked at how this book ended and how much truth we got from the characters and they way it was told kept me gripped on the edge of my sit. I sat and listened to the audio book of this is two days as that’s how gripping it was. I felt like I was actually in the book with the characters at some parts of it as it felt that real. Such a great book and I will definitely be buying a physical copy of it so I can read it again xxx

Freddie and Heidi just moved into a new neighborhood. Boxes aren’t even un-packed and he’s already itching to move again. Now why would that be?

Willow and Gabe are having issues of their own. Gabe with his mysterious evening jaunts. And his teenage daughter Isabella trying to grow in a direction her mother just can’t understand. Sounds typical right? Hmm…in this case maybe not so much.

Alison and Kenneth’s relationship seems to flow better when Kenneth is working overseas. But now he’s back, so what does that mean for them.

Dylan and his daughter Orla. Widowed three years ago when his wife was murdered. He won’t rest until her killer is brought to justice.

Those are your players…Ready? Let the games begin!

I was lucky enough to have both the audio and digital copies of this latest release by one of my go to authors - Kerry Wilkinson.
🎧I listened to the first 50%. With multiple narrators bringing life to the neighborhood characters, all doing a fabulous job.
💻The last 50% I switched it up and read the digital copy.

For this reader the digital copy worked best. I was able to immerse myself into the neighborhood and really understand the characters at a deeper level.
I don’t think you can go wrong whichever way you decide to go.

Heidi and Freddie just moved into this neighborhood and Freddie is acting very strange. Willow, one of their neighbors, went to school with Freddie but he seems to want nothing to do with her. Dylan, a different neighbor, whose wife was murdered a few years back, is raising his young daughter and always trying to find out who killed his wife. A summer picnic seems the perfect time to get to know everyone, that is until the police show up. Did someone commit a crime or has something caught up to a killer?

This psychological thriller was both exciting and engaging, unfolding over a week and told from various perspectives. The entire audiobook was a delight! Just when you think you’ve solved the mystery, another twist appears, keeping you intrigued until the very last second. Even with a lot of characters and different narratives, I really liked how the author connected everything at the end. The narrators—Matthew Spencer, Rebecca Lee, and Julia Barrie—did a fantastic job of bringing each character to life, adding depth and intensity to the suspense.

I listened to this book at x2, and the narration was very good, The characters were likable. The book kept my interest and I was intrigued to find out how it ended.

If you enjoy the works of Liane Moriarty, with its suburban character drama, with a dash of Ruth Ware, this will probably appeal to you.

A wonderfully in-love couple where all is not as it seems, a single dad with a dark past, and a mum whose marriage is hanging by a thread. I enjoyed the 3 POVs as told by our three distinct narrators, which was well performed and it really helped distinguish between the many, many characters of the story.

This title is a bit of a tongue twister and there was quite a bit to set up for the big street party we get to towards the end. It also had several “flash forwards” where we see the aftermath of this mysterious party. I was wondering for a while if there was a twist, as there was plenty of suspense but not much “thrill.” I also initially thought the author was a woman 😅 which is apparently a common occurrence, according to him!

Despite it all, I was satisfied with the ending and the overall audiobook experience.

I devoured the book in two days. This is one of those cases where you get hooked right from the first chapter.
Characters, actions, questions, and revelations abound in this novel.
I adore how each household's story demonstrates the entire bouquet of community.

I adore the fact that the book has three narrators because it adds mystery to each chapter and makes it much easier to picture the characters.
I would honestly not have predicted the book's finale, thus it came as a huge surprise to me.

I assume that some of the "Unaudibles" used foul language. However, I would much rather do it that way than read or hear inappropriate language.

I loved the twists and the story kept me engaged the whole time. There are a lot of subplots happening and a few didn’t feel like they were answered at the end of the book. Also, for this book being so long, I thought the ending was pretty abrupt.

This was an exciting and entertaining psychological thriller, set over the span of one week and told from multiple pov. The title opens with a 999 call and we know immediately that there has been an incident on Huntington Grove.

The rest of the story sets out the days leading up to the incident with Heidi and Freddie just moving into Huntington Grove, Dylan raising his daughter alone on the grove in the wake of his wife’s death. Willow and Gabes home where tensions run high with Willow’s daughter Issy and it seems there’s always an argument in the air. Then there’s efficient Alison whose husband is working overseas. Each of the characters are hiding something. Some of their lives are more intertwined than the neighbours realise and it’s all about to come to a head at a street party.

I enjoyed the story a lot, it could’ve probably benefited from being a little shorter, but the multiple characters were easy to follow, it was engaging and there was a definite sting in the tail of a twist.

The audio by all three narrators was great - my apologies I’m unable to credit all three here, it seems only one is named.

I was instantly drawn to this book because 1. The cover and title intrigued me - it definitely looked like my kind of psychological thriller/mystery genre - but 2. This is the third book that I've read by this author and having loved the other 2 reads - The Night Of The Sleepover and After The Sleepover - I hoped that this would be just as good a read.

This definitely did not disappoint and was packed with secrets, lies and all kinds of twists to keep us guessing right to the very end - which I loved.

The story unfolds gradually over several different pov's and we also see a split timeline too.
The "future" chapters were told as a police interview or statement format which kept hinting at the recent event and showing snippets of each characters perception at the time.
This definitely threw a fair few ideas at us and had me making all kinds of assumptions and theories about what had actually happened at the party and who might have been involved.

The majority of the book then focussed on the "now" timeline.
This took us from the point of Heidi moving into her and Freddie's new home and led upto the street party and the events of that day.

I loved that we got to meet the neighbours through Heidi's eyes first - this felt as though we were right in the story together and getting to know everyone first hand - but each time we met a new character, our impressions changed as the other neighbours and other interactions revealed different pov's.

This was a pretty slow burn but I don't feel that the events or writing dragged. The pace was steady throughout and there was so much going on, that it held my interest from the first page.
The character development was brilliantly written and each secret plotted to perfection.

This was a complex one, but without being confusing ever. It kept me guessing and I loved the shocks as each reveal came....

This was my first book by the author and the narrator was very good and enjoyed listening but the plot was just missing something for me, not alot happened and I expected so much more to be honest. Maybe it's just me but I felt not much happened until 90 percent in.
Ill have to read more by the author to have something to compare this to. Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the audio arc.

Oh this one had a great set up!
Slow build kinda dragged for me but oh the twists! Worth it!
Kerry does an amazing job with character development, backstory and keeping momentum. I loved the audio - though so many names to keep track of, connections, kept me on my toes and confused at times.
Also loved the "neighborhood" feel - invested in their lives, comings and goings, accepting a new neighbor. Well done.
