As someone who lives for trivia, this book was made for me and I want more.

The Rom-Com Ultimate Trivia Book is a book of that- trivia games centered around Rom-Coms.

I appreciate that the book is divided by movie instead of mixing the movies together. This can lead to really fun nights of movie specific trivia rounds. The different chapters are organized by tropes, which I found really fun. Between It's Wedding Season, Friends-To-Lovers, and It's Complicated, all genres of rom-coms are covered.

The book also has a mix of romcoms from all eras, so people from all generations will find something to play in this book. I was really excited to see Roman Holiday as one of the movies in the book. The questions are quite difficult, but you can work your way through it.

The Pitch Your Own Rom-Com game in the back of the book is extra fun and feels like an old school game of MASH.

The artwork and formatting didn't feel as complete as I would have liked. The images from the movies felt like they were scanned through a filter to add to the book, looking grainy at times.

I loved taking the quizzes to see if I knew the random trivia facts from the rom coms! What a fun idea!

This trivia book is so much fun!! Especially for rom com lovers!! I love the bonuses and how you have a summary and everything for each movie!

Trivia books are a tough sell in a bookstore, and this one has dividing cover art as well. I feel cinephile artwork would appeal to more potential readers than the 2000s era Valentine art - especially since this book is not WRITTEN for a women audience, even if it's marketed to women (using cool "Clueless" artwork and the obvious pink.) The character art is also divisive and not super pleasing. Outside of the biggest rom com titles like "When Harry Met Sally" and "She's All That," I didn't enjoy his selection of films, such as "As Good As It Gets," "Something's Gotta Give," and "Boomerang." There are only multiple choice questions, which means many questions will be too easy for participants (ex: 4 options to choose from for the song from "She's All That.") Other questions are too specific, like what type of cell phone a character is using. I feel this is a 2.5 - but I'm rounding up to 3 because the layout is clean for a trivia book, and it's easy to score 1 movie at a time and skip around. Ideal in ebook form for a game night or party.

So I scored 245 out of 500 on this rom-com quiz making me the best-friend. As a self confessed rom-com fan this is a challenging quiz with many movies i hadn't actually seen and then even within those I had seen and loved and some I had seen many multiple of times had tricky questions that were not very relevant like what is the name of so and so (minor character) and other minor details type questions. I would much rather have preferred the questions be more focused on the main plot. A little disappointed but anyway it is what it is. Bonus points for the do it yourself rom-com builder. I think i have myself a winner i just need to pitch it to a studio now! 😆

This is the ultimate Rom-Com Trivia book. This book is full of fun quizzes each chapter based off different tropes and movies. From 27 dresses, My Best Friend's Wedding, 13 going on 30, and so many more. Each book has the answer at the bottom of each fun quiz. My favorite part isn't actually the quizzes but the cutest graphics for each movie. I would just love a paperback of this for a keepsake. If you're a fan of Rom-Com's and watch a lot of movies maybe grab a copy and go quiz yourself or grab a copy and have a trivia party. I definitely recommend this book.

This is such a fun book. Even if you are not the kind of romantic comedy fan who watches movies until you can practically quote them verbatim, you can still enjoy this delightful book. It is fun to reminisce about these movies and try to remember the quiz answers or even to guess the answers to questions about unfamiliar films. If you and your friends are rom-com lovers, you can even challenge each other to answer the quizzes.

The book is quite detailed and includes descriptions of each movie. There is also information about directors, writers, and stars. Plus there is even some trivia. Thus, it is also a great way to learn about unfamiliar rom-coms and find even more to watch.

So. Much. FUN!

Jam packed with over 500 trivia questions ranging from rom com movie facts to actors/actresses facts to fun facts and everything in between. A perfect companion to girls night or date night if your husband watches romcoms, like mine does. 🤣😊

I just love any kinds of trivia but finding one geared toward what I love made this even more fun. Definitely buying this one soon!

I, unfortunately or maybe fortunately, did not do as well on the quizzes as I thought I would. I guess I need to rewatch some of my favorites! I liked the organization of the book and it was beautiful.

From the introduction you can tell the author is a big time Rom-Com buff. I loved Hidden Figures that it was organized into tripe/categories of themes so you can adapt which portion of the book you’re referencing from based on the audience participating. Loved the rating system and matching titles you could earn based on your knowledge.

I love Romantic comedies so this was the perfect trivia book for me, it was lots of fun and I would definitely use it with friends.

This is a staple for my next girls night in! I had so much fun just flicking through and reading the questions, let alone playing it.

I love that the questions are segmented by film, so you won’t get questions about a movie that only some players have seen. The range of films included is also HUGE and you’ll definitely find some favourites. So many times going through I found myself saying ‘ohhh I need to watch that again’. The illustrations of film scenes were also bright, interesting and really added to the overall experience.

I’d love to buy myself a physical copy, plus it would make a great gift!

As someone who isn't particularly fond of romantic comedies, I decided to gauge the entertainment value of this book and the quality of its questions, as well as the diversity of the movies featured, by inviting friends over for a game night. They found the book enjoyable but observed that the movie selection predominantly featured white leads and was limited to the 1990s-2000s. This suggests the potential for future editions showcasing a broader range of eras and cultures. The questions are crafted to challenge your knowledge, offering no easy answers, which made for a fairly good time. However, we soon realized our familiarity with the chosen films wasn't extensive enough for a truly competitive evening. In summary, this book could be a fine addition to a book club or a game night if you're seeking a new activity.

I will share my review to Amazon, Goodreads, and Barnes & Noble upon release. There's lots of different chapters that have themes that correspond with the movies included in each category. The films included span decades, so people of any age could find films they enjoy and know a lot about. I also thought the little tidbits and fun facts about the movies that were included were interesting and a great inclusion. There's directions for how to total your points, and then a content table so you can easily find the games. I love how each movie has its own little design and illustration, and the Rom-Com-Eter is such a cool and fun addition. I had a lot of fun thinking back on some of my favorite movies while playing the trivia games. I also have the craving to watch some of them again now that I couldn't remember some of the answers! Some of my faves were included: My Big Fat Greek Wedding, 13 Going on 30, Crazy, Stupid Love, Bridget Jones' Diary! So many great ones. I loved this little book. I'm looking forward to more of these books with trivia games :)

Theres a great range of movies, and good questions about all of them. Really fun for rom-com and trivia lovers. It does lean hard on "which did not happen" questions, and would benefit from a contents page that included which movies where. But over all a blast, and I like the bonus content too!

A really fun book for girls' weekend, this is a quiz book categorized by trope. This includes all the classic rom-coms of the past few decades. I have realized I've not seen all these movies, and will need to add them my "to be watched" list. This would make a really fun holiday gift.

This is perfect for a girl’s night! There are some titles that I think will be difficult for some people, but there’s so many great titles as well. Looking forward to bringing this out next time we have a girl’s night!
