Personally, I found this book to be helpful, especially because it is written in such a way, that you can check some thing really quick.

It is intended for the person that is gonna be there to support the mother to be during the last stages before labor, during that and after that. It think it is great that there are book that are aimed at the fathers to be and show how they can help.

However, I think this should not be the only source used for making decisions. Instead check more sources and always talk to the caregiver (as the book recommends) about your concerns.

All in all, a good and informative book, with an easy to follow style of writing, great book to go to when in a hurry to just check something.

In a time when so much focus is placed on the pregnant partner, this book guides the birth partner through the end of pregnancy, labor and birth. The pregnant partner will benefit from the book’s tips and resources to prepare partners for the delivery room.

I am not pregnant but I thought this would be a great resource for anyone who is but sadly it was not for me. I originally got this for my friend and me to read since she’s expecting and I was intrigued. We both started reading and we just could not get past the author saying “Birthing People” for the most part.

It seems like it has a lot of information that could be useful if anyone else wants to keep reading.

Thank you to the author, the publisher, and NetGalley for this e-ARC.
