An incredible ending to this series! I love the detail throughout this book and how there is a mixture of everything to keep you engaged. I can appreciate the difficulty in writing the final book in a series but this has been done superbly.

The final book in this epic story. The relationship between Wynter and Cain continues to be as passionate as ever. I loved the story and the epic battle scenes that hat a way to end a trilogy.

This is Suzanne Wrights most ambitious world so far. Gods, ancients, aeons, millennia long wars and grudges. It was a lot and I almost wish I would have done a reread of books 1 and 2. I really loved how everything came together in the end. There were still a few unanswered questions and those were all answered by the end of the novel.

I really enjoyed this book as I have read books by this author before! Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy of this book.

I had fun with this one. I can’t wait to see what else the author comes out with in the future. I can see myself definitely picking up more books by them.

It's always hard to read a last book in a series, because it's hard to say goodbye to characters who you love and have watched grow.
This was a great ending to a trilogy I will always remember.
Thank you for this story.

When I was reading the first book in the series, I discovered the third book on Netgalley. Since I was really enjoying myself with the first book, I put in my request for the third book right away and I was very happy that Piatkus granted me a digital copy. And then I forgot to read the second book, which means I could only start reading this third book last week.
This series is a mix of so many amazing elements. Yes, this is firstly a romance, but this romance has an exciting plot with a lot of danger and quite power opponents trying to rip the happily ever after away from Wynter and Cain. The mythology can get a little complicated at times, even in this third book new things are being added, and yet I love how the author used all those Biblical characters and elements to craft this story.
I must admit that this third book dragged a little at times. As a reader you know it’s a matter of time before the final confrontation will take place. The author finds some ways to delay that moment and make the book longer, but those delays don’t add much. The relationship is already quite established by now and we know that Adam is a horrible person.
However, I really loved how everything came together in the end. There were still a few unanswered questions and those were all answered by the end of the novel. Some small remarks are worked into the finale in a great way and when I read the epilogue I had a huge smile on my face. I will miss those characters. The author did an amazing job giving them an edge, while still making it easy to care about them.
I will for sure check out other books by this author in the future!

What a conclusion to Cain and Wynter’s story!
To be honest, the first half dragged a little but the second half was amazing.
What I enjoyed the most was how much Cain and Wynter cared for each other. The relationship progress from first book to this book was beautiful to watch. Saying he was obsessed with Wynter is understatement of the year. Blood rose coven as usual was a hoot. God, i’ll never get over their antics. There were some twists that I didn’t see coming but enjoyed it nevertheless.
Overall if you love Dark in you series, you will enjoy this one too.
P.s that epilogue was so unexpected and I loved it!
Can’t be read as standalone.
I received an advance review copy and I’m leaving this review voluntarily.

Absolutely loved the book. Really enjoyed the character development and how well the world was built. Would love to see stories about the other ancients finding love.

This is the eagerly awaited final book of the trilogy. As usual, readers would benefit from having read the previous two books. The plot was intricate, and was funny and yet intense in places. Cain and Wynter were both powerful characters and steadfast in their commitment to each other. I think there may be potential for further books to include characters from this one so we can discover how their lives developed. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I was so glad to be able to finish Cain and Wynter’s story! I loved the progression through out and the ending. I of course love all of the side characters as well. Wynter’s nutty coven and all of the ancients. I especially loved getting a peak of Khloe and Devon in the epilogue!

Thank you to suzanne wright and NetGalley for giving me an arc of this book.
We've finally come to the end of Winters and Cains story and man im going to miss them. This trilogy has been exciting and fun and one of my favourite series of Suzanne's. I hope this is not the end of this group of friends and we get to have books for winters clan. The final book did not disappoint at all, all the secrets have been revealed and nothing felt left unanswered, Winter will forever be one of my favourite female characters and hope to see her in future books.if you like fantasy with a lot of action and romance i would highly recommend this series !
Can't wait to see what else this author has for us.

Four and a half
I love this authors work but had somehow missed this trilogy so went into this hoping to be sucked in and was not disappointed. Winter is a Witch who has found a home and more importantly the love of her life in Cain an Ancient with powers that would scare anyone sane . Cains enemy Adam has revenge heavily on his twisted mind and needs Wynter to release his people from a powerful curse. His answer ? Offer a heavy reward for her but will those around her ignore it or betray Wynter ?
As mentioned I have not read the two previous books yet but happily this is a story full of revelations so for this reader interesting and entertaining without too much confusion. This author writes romance that is spicy but doesn't over shadow the story so there's a plot that makes sense. Plus wacky supporting characters to frequently lighten the mood. I very much was surprised by the fact that this alludes to the biblical story of Cain and Abel as usual this author did not disappoint.
This voluntary take is of a copy I requested and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair

I received an ARC Netgalley but I also purchased. This is a really great ending to this trilogy I absolutely love all the characters and the world building. I hope we get more stories from these characters

I have been eagerly anticipating this book and it defied my expectations. Finally we get the epic battle the series has been building towards and Kali’s grand plan is revealed at last. Whilst it’s good to have all the mysteries solved and the questions answered, I hope this is not the end for these characters. Cain and Wynter’s story has now been told, but as with the author’s previous series’, I hope we get to see the secondary characters find their own happily ever afters… Much like many others, I’d especially love to see a book about Annabel and Azaeal! For anyone new to Suzanne’s books, it’s important to know that this is the third book in a trilogy, so you are really missing out if you don’t read the books in order.

The final instalment in what has been a darker and more intense than usual trilogy from Suzanne Wright but one that still delivers everything we’ve come to expect from this prolific author. From feisty, smart mouthed heroines and uber alpha and possessive heroes with sizzling chemistry between them, intrigue-filled plots, lots of secrets just waiting to be revealed and not forgetting a rich vein of sarcastic humour running throughout that will have you snorting back laughter at the deliciously wicked dialogue between the main protagonists
The Monsters We Are has brought to a close a series that was based loosely on biblical mythology and puts this author’s personal spin on what really happened between Cain and Abel and spoiler alert, the villain of the tale might not be who you expect. At the centre of the story was Cain, the de facto leader of Devil’s Cradle and a mysterious heroine in the shape of Wynter Dellavale, a witch who, like Cain, carried an entity within her but hers had it’s own agenda. Her arrival challenged Cain but also fulfilled a need in him, dispelling the boredom that plagued him. She also brought with her a opportunity for Cain and his cohorts to finally escape their prison and take their long-awaited vengeance on their despised captors. With Wynter came the ragtag group of witches she’d gathered along the way creating her own coven or crew depending on who you asked but who had become her family in all but blood. They certainly fought amongst each other enough to be related and brought their own sense of fun and levity to the story. In a gripping storyline with fantastic character dynamics, strong friendships, witty banter, and lots of steamy times, all the secrets surrounding the pair were revealed and justice served.
Suzanne is one of those rare authors I know will not disappoint me and I can’t wait to see what her fertile imagination produces next.

What a great ending to this trilogy!
I loved this book, the characters as ever were great and I can't wait to read some more of their stories.
There were no questions left unanswered which is good and is always a little bit of a worry when a story spans more than one book. I think what I liked most was that the surprises didn't feel like they came out of the left field but also didn't feel super obvious either.
Whilst there are some scenes in all of these books that are not fully to my tastes, that is definitely a personal preference and does not in any way affect the enjoyment that I have reading this series.
Thank you Net Galley and Piatkus/ The Little Little, Brown Book Group for this ARC to review.

I received this book from Netgally in exchange for a review.
I love the relationship between Cain and Wynter. The push and pull. All the characters are very vivid. The coven friendship is fantastic. The fight scenes are brilliant. Really hope this world continues.

4.5 stars
This is the final installation to the trilogy of Cain and Wynter and it was a doozy. The bond between these two are as strong and intense as ever. I can say Cain is never going to be the lovey dovey type but he does show his feelings towards Wynter in his own way, and there is no doubt he loves her. The dynamics between Wynter and her coven are hilarious and had so many laugh out loud moments. And we had the epic battle we have all been waiting for. We also got the answers to many questions that had been brewing throughout the books and they blew my mind! The world building is absolutely brilliant in this whole series and adding in the twists and turns had me engrossed in the story. I was so sad the trilogy was done, but hoping we are not done in this universe.
Thank you so much to Netgalley and Little, Brown Book Group UK for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book. All opinions are my own.

I read the first two books in this series last year and loved this new world by Suzanne Wright. I have read many series by this author and knew I was going to enjoy this one as well. The third book in the series is just as incredible as the first two and is a fitting conclusion to the Devils' Cradle series. Wynter and Cain continue to captivate. I loved the relationships between the characters, especially the dynamic between Wynter and her coven. I am eagerly hoping for more stories set in this world.
