Interesting, A new take on the end of the world ( in the biblical sense). I liked the characters especially the dog, lol! It was a good read.
Afterworld by Olivia Boothe is a Dystopian genre book set into the future as a deadly virus wipes out the majority of the world and those who are left have to defend themselves against the Damned, a kind of apocalyptic zombie. Add into that the Four Horsemen who are scouring for survivors and basically, you’re screwed. Enter Kate, a woman who is just trying to survive who one days gets herself into a bit of a mess and is rescued by Jax, a mysterious man who has secrets, but who is trying to seek redemption for the things he has done in the past. The two of them definitely save each other and the chemistry between the two is pretty hot.
This book had a lot of elements to it, a lot of biblical scenes ( a little bit more than was to my liking), some zombies, some folklore and a lot of questions being asked on why angels didn’t help sooner (a good point that Kate makes throughout the book).
As a first book in a series, it was a good started and I’m sure the other books in the series will take us down the rabbit-hole of what is going on, what is going to happen and how Jax and Kate are going to save the world. This is certainly the book for you if you like zombies and some good characters to introduce you to a new world.
ARC received for a fair, honest and sometimes long review. All opinions are my own. 😊

This was everything that I was looking for and enjoyed as a opening chapter into the world. It was a strong start to the Hell’s Angel series and was engaged with the concept. Olivia Boothe and Victoria Liiv do a great job in writing this and was glad everything worked with the dark fantasy element. I enjoyed getting to know the characters and am excited for the next chapter in this series.
I received an advance reader's copy of Afterworld (Road to Redemption/Hell's Angel/Series Book 1) by Olivia Boothe from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
I’m always excited to read a new-to-me author and Olivia Boothe did not disappoint. Overall, I quite enjoyed the book and the morning flew by while I read. There was action, intrigue, and chemistry. The characters were fairly well-crafted, the pace of the novel was mostly steady, and there were some surprises. Definitely worth reading the entire series if future books are this well-written.
