Interesting but familiar. This deluxe edition is great for those that love the series and I can see why it is loved, just not one for me.

Review: Surprising in content from original expectations in that the characters were more varied in development. The author spent a good amount of time changing the POV to build the characters up in a short amount of time. The author utilized the questing nature of the story line to compress this development. An expedient method that played out well.

I enjoyed the world building and all the myriad creatures and things within it. There are constant trials and tribulations that vary in the extreme. There is tension and levity within the group that creates a great dynamic and the constant attacks provide group dependence and cohesion.

An entertaining read for sure.
