If you like gay romance, the holidays, and a silly story (but still enjoyable to read), then this book is for you.

I liked the worldbuilding and the different families for each Holiday. There is drama in the Christmas one and Coal wants to fix that. But his plans are disrupted by Hex.
The romance is quite fast but it didn’t bother me. I liked the characters and their relationship even if it’s not that much developed.
The dynamic between the characters is quite funny.
I might have liked to read Hex point of view.
It’s an adult romance, the characters are in their twenties and there are spicy scenes.

This is a very well written book. I now need to go buy the book now. It was a blessing to read this. I will be reading this author again

The Nightmare before Kissmas was my favorite book I read during 2024, so I was so excited to receive this book club kit. It’s filled with so many fun things from interview questions with the author to questions to answer with your book club and fun bookmarks to books to read next.

I can’t wait to read some of the books recommended (and the sequel to The Nightmare before Kissmas which comes out in march). Also, the playlist for this book had not one, but two (!) songs by my favorite band - Marianas Trench!

Great kit! I loved reading the author interview and getting to learn more about the creation of the book. I appreciate the contents of this kit with all of its extra materials like the playlist and bookmarks. This is the second kit I've seen from netgalley and love all the fun things included and not just having a simple list of discussion questions. However, I also appreciate the list of questions and I will be using these in the future. Thank you!

The Nightmare Before Kissmas is a fun and charming novel that brings a lot to the table. It’s cute, lighthearted, and filled with quirky characters that make the story even more enjoyable. I loved seeing such diverse and interesting characters throughout the book—they really brought the story to life. The dialogue was fun, and the pacing was quick, making it an easy and engaging read. I found myself laughing with joy at many parts of the book, which made the experience even more delightful. I’d definitely recommend this book to fellow readers, especially as a perfect way to kick off the holiday season. It’s a quick, entertaining read that will leave you smiling and in the holiday spirit!

I think this was the perfect book club resource kit. The bookmarks were a perfect fun little touch & I love when a playlist is included. It really helps get the vibes right. The activities & the “bites & sips” are such a creative way to make a book club meeting an immersive experience. I look forward to more of these.

I really enjoyed the NetGalley The Nightmare Before Kissmas book club packet. It starts by warning us that there are spoilers within. It goes over content warnings, a note to the readers, an author interview, discussion questions, PRINTABLE BOOKMARKS, “Bites & Sips” for your book club meeting, including RECIPES. There is a playlist curated by the author, activities, “Kiss, Marry, Banish” match-ups and more. As a member of a monthly book club, I truly hope these book club packets are the wave of the future. This book, ah. So, if you haven't really embraced Christmas yet, may I offer you this entertaining mashup of Halloween and Christmas? Hex is the prince of Halloween, and Coal is the prince of Christmas. Coal made me think of Alex from Red White and Royal Blue, which is a great book if you enjoyed that one. I was occasionally in stitches reading this book because it was so funny. I had so much fun and was laughing uncontrollably. The one-liners are so brilliant that I genuinely believe the author must be a comic by day. A small misunderstanding occurred, but it was resolved amicably, and I appreciated how it was handled (like grownups). Additionally, I really liked that the Characters were whole individuals who displayed a wide range of emotions. For instance, Coal experienced a range of emotions throughout the novel, including glee, excitement, worry, and anxiety. He was simply amazing. Because the author helped me identify with the characters, I developed empathy for them and found myself cheering them on. An amazing experience to read. This one, then, lives up to the hype. You should read this book as soon as possible if you enjoyed RWRB or The Nightmare Before Christmas. Get it right now; don't put it off.

This is a great kit. My book club really enjoyed the interactive activities and discussion questions. I will definitely be using another book club kit in the future.

This download wasn't the book contents, so I cant comment of the story. However I enjoyed getting to see some more inside information about this story and the author interview was fun as well! I look forward to picking this book up as well.

Oh, I loved this so much! I absolutely devoured the book, then to see this available, I definitely needed it. Though short and sweet, the author interview gave so much insight, adding more meaning to parts of the book I adored.

I read The Nightmare Before Kissmas with a friend and thought I’d check out this kit to see if it would enhance our reading experience. I expected a few discussion questions but not a whole lot more and was actually kind of blown away by all the extras that were included!

There are discussion questions, of course, but also an author interview, four printable bookmarks (and they’re actually cool!), a Spotify playlist, and book-themed recipes and activities.

It’s really neat, and if you have a book club, there’s more than enough content in this kit to have a fun little party based on the book. Or, have a party by yourself. There are no rules!
