I find these book club kits always so useful! This one in particular is very appropriate for the time of year.

Super cute and great for book clubs! Alas by copy of the book from the library is taking quite a while and so I will not get to use this to its fullest extent! Thanks caricanread for putting this story on my radar! She made it sound super cheesy in the most delightful of ways! I do hope netgalley continues to put things such as this out!

My review of The Nightmare Before Kissmas

Santa book club book! This book really surprisd me. I thought, and the author even describes it as a silly book but it has a lot of depth! It criticized capitalism/consumerism through the perspective of Christmas wanting to become a monopoly and hoarding a the generated joy in the world. Amazing!

It took me awhile to get into the book because the main character Coal has quite the imposter syndrome and when I started reading the book, so did I. So it hit a little bit too close to home.

This is so perfect!!! I am hosting a book club and this is our very first book! I'm so excited to use this during the discussion. The author interview was so fun to read and I love love the little food recs and recipes. I love that I found this and I hope that theres more of these in the future!

This book club kit is great!! I love the discussion questions. They’re great openers for conversations about the book as well as fun talks about celebrating Halloween and Christmas.

I think it’s so great that printable bookmarks, snack and drinks recipes, a playlist, and additional activities were listed in this kit as well. I know a lot of people that want to start or host a book club meeting, however they just don’t know where to start with the planning. If all book club kits were created like this one, then it would take a lot of the pressure off of the book club host and they can just enjoy their time with friends.

I have been looking forward to reading this book, and now that I have the book club kit I could potentially invite my friends to read it with me too and after we can do many of the activities listed in the book.

This is my first book club kit and wow am I’m impressed. The questions were wonderful and really make of think, plus it was so interesting to see the others opinions regarding the questions. The bookmarks were adorable. By far the Mexican hot chocolate cookies had to be my favorite. Never had anything like it. This experience with the book club kit was wonderful and can’t wait to try more.

This was actually such a great book club kit?? Or maybe I've just had really crappy ones before lol.

The playlist was fire (great bgm during the meeting), the mexican hot chocolate cookies were SO DELICIOUS (even when made gluten free!), the bookmarks were a cute addition though I'm not super crafty (nor do I have a printer...); maybe one of the other members will actually make them a reality... And the questions were good! We actually answered a few of them instead of just digressing into random tangents 😅 Though even when we did veer off, the discourse was pretty cool; it was actually the author's tidbit about her kid and holidays that let to such an interesting discussion about how we grew into Halloween and Christmas/Hanukkah beyond the decor and presents and consumerism, and then what we might do
to emphasize the magic of each season when/if we have kids one day. Though, that last question was pretty divisive!! Luckily we could all agree to disagree haha. Overall, it was such a fun night, and not just because of the book! I hope more book clubs take advantage—if nothing else than for the santa munch snack mix and quality queer romance!

don't think it's great to review just a book club kit :) it is a great kit that i will be sure to use with our book club, but isn't really something i feel i can review per se. i hope you can understand!

Great and adorable bookclub essentials! Everyone was happy obsessed with how fun the printable bookmarks were and there were requests for some of the recipes.

The author interview was great to see and the provided discussions questions helped keep the flow of our chats.
