This book was such a cute and easy read, I absolutely loved Holland and Noble's characters and how much they bounces off of eachother and how they had such fun banter❤️ I really enjoyed reading this book and i was really touched by the representation of grief and how it effect everyone differently and how it can strike you at anytime, I love how both characters take on different paths and different stories but are brought together by their understanding of the grief they hold. It is so beautifully and easily written it was just a joy to read❤️

A very enjoyable romance, that got a little heavy going on times. A girl who had been adopted discovers an unknown family member has left her a brownstone in New York and moves unknowingly, next door to a seriously gorgeous guy. Their story has ups and downs as he is coming to terms with being demoted but their attraction shines through!
A really enjoyable read. The character studies of the neighbours make the story something to really get your teeth into. I really enjoyed it.

'Unlikely Neighbours' felt at first like women's fiction, with some heavy themes, before settling into a romance groove with alternating chapters between hero and heroine and lots of spice. I had mixed feelings reading it - perhaps a case of "good book, wrong time" as I was in the mood for a very warm/easy comfort read at Christmastime, and the story was a bit more challenging than that (e.g. several mentions of cancer). I won't post a review elsewhere (at least for now) as I wasn't in the right frame of mind for this story, so it doesn't seem fair. I might go back for a re-read later.

Many thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for the advance copy.

Both characters go through the biggest turning points of their lives even without even taking into account meeting one another.

Holland is a Southern United States social worker who receives news one day that she has inherited a home in Brooklyn from family she never knew she had. Travelling to the home, she finds out that the story of her childhood before adoption is a lot more complicated than she realised.

Noble is the founder and CEO of a drinks company who finds one day he is being replaced. Untethered and with his own childhood trauma to process, it is meeting his cute next door neighbour that begins to light up his days.

This was a surprising, heavy at times, romance. I found that I was more invested in Holland and Noble's separate stories than I was in their relationship with each other. Nonetheless, I was kept engaged the whole time and felt really invested in each of their journeys.

I would happily read a sequel because I'd love to hear what they each got up to next.

Holly and Noble are a very cute couple. They bring to their story they’re very different backgrounds and both are working their way through some pretty big life events. Holly was adopted and she inherit a house in New York from part of the birth family she never knew existed, the book explores the pain and joy she goes through working out who she is now that her past has changed. Noble also has a crisis as he is ousted from the company he created. Holly and Noble fall for each other however that may well not be enough as their totally different backgrounds collide. This is sweet story with two people who are kind and who I wanted to make it work. The background stories for both are a little far-fetched and forgiveness came ever so easily which made this on the unrealistic side.

This book was such a wholesome read, like stepping into a hallmark movie and feeling completely at home 😌

Holland's plan to rediscover herself brings more than she could have ever imagined. After inheriting a brownstone in New York she discovers more about her past that has been kept secret for decades. Throw in a cute nextdoor neighbour and her original plans are scuppered.

I enjoyed how the story unfolded and the diary entries from Aunt Goldie kept giving us breadcrumbs until the truth was revealed.

Noble is such a walking green flag and I love how sweet he is. He falls hard for Holland and all this is happening while he has to make some serious career changing decisions after the rug was literally pulled out from underneath him.

I loved their instant connection and how they could both be in each others company with no high expectations 🥰.

I enjoyed this story and look forward to reading more by this author.
