I really enjoyed the way Anthony Wildman wrote the previous two books in the Lost Years of William Shakespeare series. The concept worked well and had that historical fiction element that I wanted. I was engaged with the setting and how the characters and plot worked overall.

An interesting concept and fun view of a playwright taken in a new way to explore the dynamics of what can be termed as or references to as theatre kids. I absolutely enjoyed most of this if not for some parts, my rating would be higher. However, I still know who I would recommend this story for. For fans of dark academia, fantasy and those who enjoyed, The Secret History and If We Were Villians.
