When I read the title of this story I said yes, and although everything related to the magic of tea seems to me something incredible and more since I have read other stories where this is the main fantasy element.
But one thing that still makes me noise and I don't think I'll keep reading is that one of our main characters is 12 years old, and from what I've researched this story continues and focused on romance, so no thanks.
The tea witch is a great element, but not for me.
Still I thank Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with this ARC.

While I do enjoy a good horror or action manga I have to say that this one is a wonderful palate cleanser. It’s cosy and comforting with a beautiful art style and enchanting story that quickly captivates you. It’s cute, wholesome and definitely one I will be following.
As always thank you to Netgalley and Titan Comics for the copy to review, my reviews are always honest and freely given.

I’m not a big shoujo reader but I thoroughly enjoyed this!
It’s cozy, funny, light-hearted and I really want Remy’s abilities or at least for her to make me a magic cup of tea please!
There was some gl vibes coming across but the girl who has a crush is 12 so I really hope that this doesn’t become a gl (or at least not involving her) because ew, and I also really hope that said 12 year old remains single regardless because again, ew.
I will be continuing this series as more volumes come out so big thank you to Netgalley for introducing this series to me!

I was going to highly recommend this until I realised that the princess is 12 YEARS OLD (this is not at all clear with the way she is illustrated) while her supposed love interest is in her 20s from the context clues we are given. I thought no way, I must be misinterpreting it but I went on Penguin's website and the second volume says and I quote "Even more troublesome is the blossoming feelings developing between them… but how can a lowly tea witch and a princess ever be in love?!" in the description. Therefore, I have concluded that it is very clear that this is meant to be a romance between them but she's literally a child absolutely not. I do not recommend for obvious reasons.

Review to come December 27th on my blog/other places.
I received this book from the publisher in exchange of an honest review.
I was definitely curious about this one! I love tea! I love witches~ I was also hoping for a little bit of F/F romance, haha. So of course I had to request this manga, and I am happy I did. Though when I learned of the princess's age I was not looking forward to romance. On the cover she looked like 15-16, but she is twelve. Yeah, no.
OK, I had to get into it at first because apparently being a Tea Witch isn't the best witch you can be and she is constantly scorned despite being totally epic at the job. I would think it was pretty cool, especially when she can enchant the teas to be even better and help out with fatigue and the likes. Not to mention she can with just one pot change the contents of the tea to fit with everyone's tastes, which is just SO COOL, and I would love that power too. Plus, as the story continues we see that it is seemingly a cover, because what she did to a maze, well, I can tell you that is not what someone who is a lowly tea witch should be able to do. Or when there was mentioning of gardening and I fully expected her to go gardening but what actually happened was cool magic and I really don't want to get on Remy's bad side, haha.
Not to mention she is desperately trying to fall off the radar, but there is Princess Stella, who calls our Tea Witch by her first name, who is very friendly, and even proposes to be friends. Yes, you can imagine Remy's feelings. On the one hand she is fangirling inside, on the other hand she knows that her cover/her staying under the radar is not going to happen. And Stella is determined to be with Remy no matter what. And she will use her charm, her puppy eyes, and all her cuteness (and maybe a couple of threats) to make Remy forget her protestations, which make me laugh.
Add to that other characters, like Remy's friend and court mage Alicia (who I am still not sure is a guy or a girl, Remy thinks a girl, I think a boy, and Alicia is pretty much in the: "I'm beautiful and adorable, so it doesn't matter"-front which I loved), or Balian the mage of flames (who I didn't mind seeing much more often, teehee). Or Dale, a team aide who is also constantly around Remy at one point.
I love that Remy was determined to make the princess happy and protect her. She wasn't happy when she found out about the proposal, and there are also other things lurking in the dark, and I loved that Remy was so feisty about it. Then again, as I said, she may look like a lowly tea witch, but I feel for those coming in the way of the princess her happiness.
That date! I don't want to ship them together because surely Remy is 18-20, and the princess is 12, but it was still so cute!
But please, can we have review copies we good quality art. I don't need the best of the best, 4k, high def, but at least better than this one that feels like someone scanned it twenty times over. Details just vanished, everything was just the bare minimum and felt more like one of those cheap colouring pages you see for kids.
But all in all, I am very happy with this read, I loved seeing Remy kick ass and serving tea and knowing all about it, the princess was cute, there were a ton of fun characters, and story was fun! I would recommend it and I cannot wait to read more of it~

I was hoping this would be a warm and cosy manga in the vein of Flying Witch, but it's not quite the same sort of vibe. The world is seemingly quite epic, and there's a lot of backstory going on in the set up of the court that was a little confusing to follow. I also didn't love the art style or writing - about 2/3 of the way through the book it's revealed that one of the major characters is 12 years old, which isn't apparent at all from her depiction in either art or story! I don't think this one is for me, sadly.

This was a lovely manga that followed a tea witch in court as she tries to stay under the radar. She gets pulled into the spotlight when she is noticed by the princess who wants to be her friend. What follows is a relatable struggle between staying inconspicuous and doing what is right. This story was so cozy and I loved the setting. I can't wait to read the next installments.
The classic manga style created both touching and funny moments throughout. There were some great panels that highlighted the vibrant personality of the main character, and I felt like I could relate well to her struggles. I was interested in her navigation of the politics in court during a time of peace, as I feel the context was set up well for further installments. Using tea as a base for more powerful magic was also really interesting. I'm looking forward to see how the story develops as I'm currently a bit unsure about the nature of the relationships between some of the characters.
I would recommend this manga to anyone who wants a quick and cozy read. Thank you NetGalley and Titan Manga for providing this e-ARC for an honest review.

A beautiful tea and witchy based story with a classic manga style. I couldn’t decide how much older the main character was in relation to the princess or if there was romantic tension between the two. I suppose we would find out more as the books proceed. I did like the tea element to the story which has actual connotations to how tea works in real life (a lot of research must have gone into this). Will happily carry on the story.

I saw this and I just had to get it! The illustrations are stunning! So much detail! This follows Princess Stella and Remy, her tea witch. Remy knows which tea will suit each person, she makes magical tea with amazing benefits. I like how she can control the situation with her teas!
Remy finds out that Stella is going to have an arranged marriage but she's 12 (!) So Remy decides to step in and puts off the proposal.
I'm looking forward to Volume two and seeing where the story leads!

This book is so sweet, like a perfect cup of tea! I've not a great deal of history with manga, but tea is a crucial part of my life, so the idea behind this story enticed me in, and I'm so glad it did.
I flew through the pages in no time, and found myself falling in love with the shy-but-fierce Tea Witch! The underlying issues of society, class and post-war politics was intriguing but flowed seamlessly with the gentle romance of the main narrative. I enjoyed the very traditional Japanese humour in some panels too - excessive enthusiasm, panic or general Big Emotions!
My only quibble was that the PDF didn't always seem very clear to me; I think in future I'll be looking for physical copies of the books, as it wasn't always apparent quite what was going on. Fortunately the dialogue cleared this up well enough, but I'd like to see the art properly as intended to get the full experience.
A beautiful, fun first chapter in an ongoing story, I'll be looking out for the next part. Hugely grateful to the author and artist for sharing her skills in this book.
