Nora has recently has a miscarriage. So when a baby girl is left on her porch one night, with a note asking for her to care for her baby, how could Nora refuse? The note said the baby's name was Daisy.
Nora and Tom Swanson have only been married for a few years. Nora has a grown-up daughter, Isabel. Nora has had quite a few miscarriages, so when the baby was left on her porch, it seemed like a blessing in disguise. So they decide to lie and say that the baby is theirs.
This story is told mainly from Nora's perspective, but there were some points of view from Izzy too. I was quickly pulled into this story and I couldn't put the book down. The characters are well-developed and they all have secrets. There were plenty of good twists. I loved how the story ended. It was definitely not what I was expecting.

I would like to thank #NetGalley #Bookouture and the author #LGDavis for my ARC of #StolenBaby in exchange for an honest review/
I liked that this book, Stolen Baby by L.G. Davis, switched points of view giving you a more complete picture. The story centres around a mom, daughter and step-father. The daughter, Isobel is struggling with an eating disorder that she has beaten before but due to extreme stress in her life lately, has reared its ugly head again. The mother is to depressed to realize that her own daughter is struggling too, The mother had decided to undergo IVF with her husband after they decided they wanted a biological kid together (since Isobel is from a previous relationship). After the mom has lost 2 babies in a row, she slips into depression and doesn’t realize what is going on until it is almost too late. I found the pacing of this book to be a little slow for the beginning half of this book, then a climactic event occurs and second half of the book is a gripping telling of now each character deals with the fallout from that event.
Note:
Thank you to L.G. Davis and Bookouture for provide this ARC to NetGalley in exchange for my honest opinion and review.
This was a fast paced thriller that kept me on the edge of my seat. I do think you have to go into this with an open mind but remember it’s FICTION. 😆 The characters are unlikable (in a good way) and it draws you in so well that you just have to find out what happens. I do think there were unanswered questions by the end but still a great read!
Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for an advanced copy in exchange for my honest review.
This was a fun one!
I always suspend disbelief for books like this. That’s not a knock on the book or the genre. I just find I enjoy them way more if I don’t over analyze every single detail.
Nora and Tom have been married for almost a decade. Nora has a daughter, Isobel. After suffering multiple miscarriages, a baby is left on their doorstep. Now they have to hide the baby from everyone they know while they figure out a plan. They also have to navigate their own secrets…
I don’t want to give too much away, because with these thrillers, the twists are the best part. This was a FAST read! Very satisfying! I’ll read these toes of books all day z!
Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for the ARC!
This is my third LG Davis books and she always has amazing plot twists! I tried to guess this one from the beginning but I was wrong again 😅 Liz does a great job with her twists and turns and is always messing with my mind! This book releases on January 24 and you need to pick it up!
Thank you NetGalley, Bookouture and LG Davis for allowing me to read this arc before its release!
This pov story tells how Norma after many miscarriages finds a baby left on her doorstep with a note. Tom her husband agrees they will keep it if no-one comes after 7 days. Norma's daughter helps as much as possible so please to have her mum back. The action really takes off for me when the pov switches to the daughter. It deals with complex issues . Each character has their own secrets and as the story unfolds its filled with twists and turns. Its so much more than the title implies. Once the action started and the lies were unmasked I found this to be gripping and very real. I loved the rawness of reaction and the truth. The ending came too soon for me and felt like the possibility for a sequel. This is 4.5 stars rounded to 5. Thanks netgallery, author and publisher. Recommended to anyone who likes a mystery mixed with real life but is prepared to sit through padding
Dark, twisty and fast paced this one had me completely fooled. I didn’t see that ending coming. The characters were all deliciously flawed, but also credible and sympathetic and I could understand the reasons for their actions. Will keep you flipping the pages and holding your breath right to the end.
This book was a compelling, absorbing, totally addictive and a brilliant page-turner that hooks you in from the first page and doesn't let go until the very end!
The characters Nora, Isobel, Lauren, Tom and little Daisy if I had to pick a favourite I would choose Charlotte as I could imagine how she felt in her desperate search to find her baby Daisy but also Nora when she lost her baby and then one turns up on her doorstep the dilemma she faced.
I’d highly recommend this book and it’s definitely a must read when it comes out in Jan!

STOLEN BABY BY L.G. DAVIS
Release date set for the 28th of January 2025.
This was a good psychological thriller.
Fast paced and popcorn thriller book.
Twists and turns and full of suspense.
There's a very good ending.
First time reading this author and i'll read another.
The start of this book left me utterly incredulous that anyone would decide that keeping a baby that was left on their doorstep was acceptable. This feeling died down a little as I got to know the personalities of the various characters. This is an enjoyable read with a couple of great twists and an explosive ending. I haven't read any of this author's work in the past but I will seek them out in the future.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book
Wttttfffff.
On one side I kinda see the dad's side.
But what if he's lying.
What if everyone's lying.
After suffering a few miscarriages, Nora opens her door to find a baby girl left behind. After keeping an eye out for any missing persons reports she decides to keep baby Daisy and raise her as her own daughter. But when a local girl is found dead, Nora is faced with uncovering the truth behind who the girls parents are and how she ended up on her doorstep. There were a lot of twists throughout this book and it seemed like every character had something to hide. L.G Davis also has a way with words, this book was very descriptive and painted a clear picture in my mind while I was reading.
Fast paced and full of suspense and atmosphere, I absolutely loved it and couldn't put it down I read it in a couple of hours
Stolen Baby by LG Davies, for those who like the utterly ridiculous and absurd, popcorn, thrillers will definitely enjoy this book. Nora here is a knock at the door and finds little Daisy a newborn baby right after her, and Tom have experienced another loss of one of her pregnancies. She has an older daughter Isabel from a previous relationship, but her and Tom desperately want a baby of their own, but haven’t had any luck doing that. Since the neighbors seen her pregnant, they decide to pretend little daisy is the combination of that pregnancy and not the dearly departed Danielle. Even college student and older daughter Isabel agrees to the plan that they will keep Baby Daisy and pass her off as the new baby. This is as much as I can say, because saying anymore will give plot points away and spoil the book for those who want to read it. No matter how ridiculous I can tell you this book was once I started reading it. I did not want to stop. I was desperate to find out how why and what and OMG the answers are astounding! I do want to say that Isabel‘s over anxious attitude towards her mother seemed unlike most teenagers would act because in my experience most teenagers don’t even notice when the mother‘s mood changes or their mother at all for that matter. I don’t know what else I could say about this book. I do recommend it, but there is a lot of eye rolling in absurd plot points in the book. having said that if you want a fun thriller and a quick read, I don’t think you will be disappointed with LG Davies new book. #NetGalley, #Bookoucher, #LGDavies, #StolenBaby,
Who left baby Daisy on Nora's doorstep? And what happened to Lauren? This winds two stories together into a twisty and fast paced read with surprises. No spoilers from me. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. A good one for travel.
She finds a baby left on her doorstep and she wants to keep her. I was eagerly flipping through the pages long into the night. The characters are flawed but we all have our quirks and the plot is deliciously dark and disturbing. I had to keep reading to find out what the twist would be and it was a real shocker! The pages of this book turn themselves.
Stolen Baby completely hooked me from the first page and didn’t let go until the jaw-dropping finale. L.G. Davis has a way of creating deeply flawed, relatable characters that make you question everyone’s motives. Charlotte’s desperate search for her missing baby had my heart racing, and just when I thought I’d figured things out, the plot took another shocking twist. What really stood out to me was how the story explored the darker side of motherhood and the secrets we keep from even those closest to us. If you’re looking for a thriller that keeps you up at night, this one is unforgettable.
Nora and her husband Tom are deperate to have baby and give her older daughter a sibling. After having just lost yet another baby when a baby suddenly turns up on their doorstep with a note please look after her it is a wish come ture. With her daughter on board with bringing the baby up as her mums what could go wrong. No one knows that her mum had lost her baby so no one would know it wasn;t hers. When the truth comes out you will be shocked,
Brilliant book from beginning to end.
I was lucky to receive an ARC copy of this book. I have loved all of LG Davis’ books but this was probably my least favorite. It is a fast paced, easy to read book but I found it a tad cheesy. I also found the characters to be very unlikable.
But I’m looking forward to her next book.
Wow! Seriously, I was tired after reading this. My adrenaline was pumping full force!
Highly recommended!
The book cover caught my attention straight away and once I had read the book description I knew I had to read it.
