Told You So was a book that could have gone wrong without an excellent author behind it, and it’s testament to Sarah Asermily’s talent that she’s written a story that so fully transports a reader to feel the same emotions as its characters while understanding its of another time and place. Very hard not to spoil recapping the plot, but there is a religious cult at heart, a tragedy, parents’ love, and a deep love story.
If the characters leaned towards being caricatures all of these plots points would have been a bit much, but as mentioned everything comes together beautifully. This is definitely a story to read if you’re in the mood to get into something a bit heavier, but I wouldn’t let it pass.

Absolutely incredible. This book was beautifully written and I didn’t want to put it down. I didn’t expect the twist at the end, but this tugs at the heartstrings for sure. Will be checking out other books by this author!

This was such an emotional read for me. I cannot stop thinking about this book. The authors style of writing is absolutely amazing. She really brought the characters to life and I promise you will not quickly forget them. I recommend this book for anyone. It is a winner.

This was a fantastic concept for a story, it had that element that I was hoping for from the description and was really well done. Sarah Asermily has a strong writing style and was a realistic take on this type of book. I was invested in what was happening to the characters and was engaged with the story.
