How does one rate a 50 Shades of Gray retelling where Christian is Tristan the dinosaur? 🦖

Did I pick this up solely for the absolute ridiculousness? Uhhhh yeah. Am I shocked at how easy this was to read? Yes. Did I cringe at all the different words one could use to describe their lady bits? 1000x yes.

This was definitely…something, but Dino Stud sucked me in and I had to see what else Lola Faust had to share!

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC!

This is about as wild as you think it'll be!!
Honestly, dedicating this to Neil deGrasse Tyson and then putting that list of trigger warnings? Chef's kiss!
It was definitely an entertaining read and made me laugh at the audacity.

I have a feeling I'll be compelled to read a few more of Lola Faust's books...

Okay, I was not a fan. Storyline/plot was very lacking. It’s a short read and I almost couldn’t get through it.

👀

2.75 ⭐

Was I entertained? Yes. Did I like it? Undecided. 😂

I read this as a book club pick for luls. And luls we had! I mean, I was entertained AF while reading it. LOL It was an absolute wild ride. The ridiculousness of it definitely peeked my interest. How does one do a gorgosaur? What even is a gorgosaur? Is there time travel? Does it talk? I needed answers!

It had a few clever little things in there that made me laugh. Ms. Hammond? I mean come on, that's funny!

I will say, that the FMC was kind of annoying. She was one horny b that I think would have done anything that had a heartbeat. It got a bit repetitive with her.

There was also a few questions that went unanswered for me that I think would have made it better IMO. How does he portray what he wants since he didn't seem to talk? How is he a billionaire? Is he from the Jurassic period? How does a gorgosaur suck? 😂 Etc. Etc. I suppose that might be the mystery of it all, but I wanted to know! Give me a little back story on him.

Overall, good for some laughs.

Lola Faust always manages to deliver with the most excellent dinosaur erotica that is both well thought out and just a plain good time. It never pretends to be anything it isn't aand always gives those with an open mind a reason to love the absurdity of dinosaur/huuman romance.

I’m not quite sure what I’ve just read…but I enjoyed it! An extremely niche sub-genre that I never knew existed until a few days ago!

Although a novella, the author manages to create a lot of depth and background for the main character of Alessandra. There’s a lot of description, which is quite original, although maybe a little heavy at times.

Considering I saw this and decided to try it, with no prior expectation, it was a fun read and I’d definitely be interested to read more.

I think I am actually speechless. I did not know what to expect from this book, but I don’t think this was it. From a sexually deprived church girl to a gangbang in two days is quite a step to take for anyone.

No one should take these books serious, but if you want a book with questionable sexual scenes, laughing out loud at bizarre scenes and strange characters than this is definitely the book for you!

I read one other story by this author last year and this one was a pleasant surprise after the first one I read, "How Stego Got His Groove Back". This story is a novella and moves along very quickly, so don't expect a deep, intricate plot. Like its name hints, it's got a Fifty Shades of Grey vibe, and I found it more enjoyable than I thought I would. It's well-written, with a much better storyline than the first one I read. Sure, it's quick-paced and a bit silly, but I found myself strangely liking this one. Not sure what that says about me, haha.

There really isn’t much to say about this book, everything you need to know is in the title. This is a fun, silly short story which has a surprisingly empowering message. The content is not for the faint of heart

It is, exactly, what you think it’s going to be. Dinosaur erotica. 50 shades but make it dinosaurs. And poly? And goats?

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC - I was so morbidly curious I just needed to give my brain a break from actual reading 🤣

Truly satirical and absolutely ludicrous, logistically unsound, insane, and funny af. What did I just read?

What did I just read? I dont even know where to start. I enjoyed it. It was weird, it was strange and had me questioning myself, but I enjoyed it.
Its not the most amazingly written book but I wasn't expecting it to be. It was definitely a fun read though.

A fun spicy romance between a billionaire dinosaur and a human virgin. Didn’t know how I was going to feel about this book but it was definitely one that I would read! If you’re thinking of reading this book definitely give it a read!!!

Simple virginal church girl wants carnal pleasures. Gets a job with an NDA that pays 1.2 million a year to do as her demanding boss demands. Sapphic romance, group loving, lots of kink, and a dauntingly named “apparatus”. (Not to be confused with an apatosaurus.)

Tonally similar to 50 Shades.

Except her boss is a dinosaur.

Faust is a silver tongued genius, infusing a thesaurus into the mouths of her gorgosaurus and his playmates (among other things), with language that lifts this above its completion.

This book is a 5 among monster smut, but for those who don’t appreciate it, it would be a 1.

Fifty Shades of Gorgosaur by Lola Faust is perfect book for erotica reader.

The storyline are not heavy in conflict and easy to read. I’ve expected a shifter romance but I’m wrong. It is the Gorgosaur, dinosaur romance. I’ll abdolutely recommend this book for a fast paced story reader.

Tristan
✅ gorgosaur
✅ CEO, billionaire
✅ no POV

Alessandra
✅ new employee
✅ virgin
✅ third person pov

Nellie
✅ personal assistant

✅ dinosaur
✅ suspense
✅ plenty of spicy scenes: intense and explicit
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 ( anal, bondage, voyeurism, spanking etc)

I’ll definitely need to read the next book by Lola Faust.

Definitely something I have never read before. Short and spicy novella for those with a more “wild” taste.

This was a lot of fun - This is'nt for everyone, and I'm not even sure it's for me. But well written, funny and smutty!

Kind of like a better written fan-fiction of Fifty Shades of Grey, but with a very different twist - or a Gorgosaur. It's short, so if you, like me, are curious, give it a try ;)

Fifty Shades of Gorgosaur is exactly what I expected it to be—a fun, outrageous ride. This book delivers on its promise of humour and absurdity, blending the tropes of billionaire romance with dinosaurs!

Imagine Fifty Shades of Grey but with a dinosaur billionaire boss and his attractive associates. The result is quick, quirky, and unapologetically over-the-top dinosaur smut. It’s a story that doesn’t take itself too seriously, and neither should you. If you want something offbeat, funny, and wildly entertaining, this book delivers in spades.

Thank you to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for gifting me the e-book ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Thank you to Lola Faust for this ARC, and introduction to the world of dinosaur erotica.
This was exactly what I thought it was going to be, and all of my expectations were met. It was fun, and humorous, and absolutely wild.

I had to read Fifty Shades of Gorgosaur to see if that plot was for real (and some of the hints as to what was afoot in other reviews). This was highly ridiculous, but highly ridiculous books can be great. This wasn’t so great not due to the crazy plot (the blurb isn’t lying), but rather because it parked too long on certain pieces (Alessandra’s upbringing) but not enough on others (why her ex eventually did what he did) in an effort to maybe check some boxes for having provided character background and action.

Also, I’m still curious how Tristan the Gorgosaur in question communicated. Call me ridiculous in turn for trying to question the logic of the story but in the book’s storyline a lot was at odds. Pick this up if you’re curious, it has to be read to be believed, but don’t expect it to read well.

In this Fifty Shades mash-up, Christian Grey is now Tristan Black, and he’s a Gorgosaur :)

Two things can be true. This is a silly, ridiculous piece of erotica containing dinosmut, with some menage. There’s conspicuous consumption of luxury brands, plenty of aspirational moments and glossy interactions in this BDSM-ish satirical homage to Fifty Shades of Grey. At the same time it’s a scorching criticism of purity culture and the acceptance of distorted biblical ideas. Yes, this is a lot in a novella. It’s held together by the most camp language, especially pertaining to our heroine Alessandra’s lady parts: her love flower, ecstasy button, love temple, pleasure boat, and love portal are some examples. Luckily or not Tristan, our Gorgosaur is not treated to the same florid vocabulary - he is 'a perfect delicious hunk of prehistoric sexiness'. Alessandra is equally smitten by Ms Nellie Hammond, Tristan's executive assistant ('and the most beautiful woman in the world').

Author Lola must have had a ball writing this, it's funny and sexy and smutty 🌶🌶🌶 and completely over the top. I've been looking forward to it all year!

Some of the symbolism is a little arcane, especially around the sacrificial goats, but that would be a quibble. I love this timely reminder that even a why-choose dinosmut novella is still political.

Thank you thank you Lola Faust, NetGalley and Books Go Social for the ARC. Opinions are my own.
