I-what? This book was...weird. To say the absolute least. Going into it, I thought that this was a kids' book.
Boy was I wrong.
Since this book only earned a one-star rating from me, I will keep this short and sweet.
- I feel like this book was *intended* to be funny, and it wasn't. At least to me. I didn't laugh or smile once.
- This book didn't have a clear or specific premise or point. Put simply, I don't understand the *why* of the author writing this book.
- In my opinion, this book was boring. It was short, but I was still just not entertained by this book.
- The white space. There was so much white space that it actually almost made me feel uncomfortable and unsettled.
- All in all, I just really didn't like this book and I was left feeling off and confused.
That's all.
It was funny to follow someone’s stream of consciousness, or rather unconsciousness. But I’m confused as to why this is categorized as “children’s fiction”. I can’t imagine any children would enjoy or understand this. This is something I’d stick on the back of a shampoo bottle to read while on the toilet after having left my phone out of reach.
That was the weirdest book I’ve ever read lol. The way it is written out, it is kind of hard to follow. Maybe it’ll look different on the actual book. What I read had no illustrations and was just pages of text. Sometimes separate line by line, sometimes two different people/animals talking on the same line. It was confusing. But I did like it at the end he just had to pee.🤣
