Thanks to the Publisher and Netgalley for an early research copy.
Well, I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book.
It was great to meet up with old friends from previous books and find out what was happening in their lives, as well as meet new ones.
The story is told in alternative chapters by Poppy and Joel who were lovely and both had their own issues to deal with.
The setting was beautifully described and made you wish you were there.
The story covered issues like stalking, dementia and mental health problems, these were sensitively covered which showed that the author has researched everything well.
I think you will need to have a box of tissues handy as the story will make you cry and laugh in places.
It’s sad that this is the last book in the series, but the author has given a perfect ending.
I can’t wait to see what comes next.
I highly recommend this book.
A gorgeous 5⭐️ read from the wonderful Jessica Redland. I am obsessed with the Bumblebee Barn series and I say it with each of Jessica's books but this might be my favourite.
Poppy and Joel's journeys are one of courage and searching and I am 100% here for it.
Can't wait to read another beauty from Jessica.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Joel lives his younger daughter Imogen but her mum who’s moved in with more children and a husband is always trying to make life difficult for him micro managing his time with his daughter.
Poppy is struggling with life her mum died and her dad is in a home with dementia and nom.onger knows who she is. She decides that time away is needed when it all, gets to much and goes to Bumblebee Farm. She meets new friends and ends up at a wedding where she meets the best man and things click into place.
Great story seeing Joel and Poppy navigate their lives into something that shows them both to do something every day that scares you.
Great to catch up with all the clan at Bumblebee Farm and Hedgehog Hollow, love how these books seamlessly run or can also be read as a standalone story.
This is book 3 in the Bumblebee Barn series and the main characters in this book are single dad Joel and Poppy who is struggling with her dad’s dementia, moving on without feeling guilty and juggling work with visits to her dad. Joel and his ex partner Tilly struggle to agree on when he can see their daughter Imogen and this is on top of wondering if his job is in danger. Poppy gets the opportunity to have a break and stay at Whisperwood Farmhouse near Bumblebee Barn and through being invited to a local wedding meets Joel. There is an instant attraction but can anything come of it? This is such a lovely read that as well as having plenty of love and romance also covers some very serious issues like dementia, grief and custody. Heartwarming as well as heartbreaking with some very realistic characters and a beautiful setting. Thanks to Boldwood Books and Netgalley for the ARC
This was another really good book by this author.
Poppy and Joel have some life’s challenges and find romance along the way. It was nice to see some other characters we’ve already met in previous books.
It’s a hard to put down put book and one you won’t want to end
Such a lovely story. I always love Jessica Redland books, they are always such a lovely read. This one was no different, great story.
Well what can I say except I love, love, loved this one.
I’ve loved all the books I’ve read by this author and this is no exception.
It’s book 3 in the series and it’s wonderful to revisit characters that have been central to other books, but also focus on those who had smaller roles and those new to the story.
The characters are likeable and so well developed throughout the book. The author describes the settings so well that you will feel like you have been there and visited these places.
The book does deal with some difficult issues, like mental health problems, stalking and dementia. Each topical is discussed sensitively and with care, clearly the author has researched everything she has included.
You will definitely need your tissues towards the end of this one, in a couple of places!
I’m sad to see it’s the end of the series, but everything is summed up nicely and I cannot wait to see what the author brings us next.
In this instalment of the ‘Bumblebee Farm’ series we meet Poppy and Joel. Poppy is suffering from a bit of burnout after constantly visiting her poorly father, working as an accountant and a beekeeper. Can a chance encounter help Poppy and Joel together?
I always know I’m going to absolutely adore any book by Jessica. I know it’s going to be full of heartwarming and also serious moments and this one was no different. I loved being back in the ‘Bumblebee Farm’ world.
Jessica has once again knocked it out of the park. She is one of my favourite authors and I still remember discovering her books and then went on to read her whole backlist.
I loved the setting, the characters especially Joel’s daughter. I enjoyed the slow burn but then once it ignited it wasn’t so slow anymore. I just couldn’t stop reading it.
I can’t wait to see and read any book that Jessica releases is 2025 🥰💖
Rating 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Another beautiful five star, easy read novel from Jessica Redland. I always find her books so hard to put down! The characters are so loveable in this feel-good contemporary novel
I just loved this book and once I started reading it I just couldn’t put it down. It’s an amazing series and I just love all these books. They are so heartwarming and heartbreaking I will say that if you have ever lost a parent then you will definitely need tissues as I did have a cry but there are a lot of beautiful moments too. There are such amazing characters in this book that you would just love to meet in real life.
I would highly recommend reading these books and this series as they are all just amazing and so heartwarming.
I would like to thank Boldwood Books and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book early.
I was so happy to receive this for a review on Netgalley. Jessica Redland books are fab and this book did not disappoint. It’s been one of my favourite books in a while. I am not sure why it grabbed me so quickly and I just loved it. I couldn’t put it down, read it in 2 days. The main characters were so likeable and you wanted them to get their happy ever after. Joel, just wanted to please everyone,he has so much going on,he has Imogen, his daughter but is not with her Mum and has a difficult time with her, always having to fight to see his daughter. He has a younger brother who stays with him when he has nowhere else to go but Chez has an on off girlfriend and they have a love hate relationship,he leaves Joel’s house in a mess and eats all his food. Poppy stays in her parents house but her Mum is no longer with her and her Dad is in a home as he has dementia. She is an accountant and works from home for herself, she also is a beekeeper which she learned from her Dad so she has taken on the role. She has no time for romance, she was married to Phil but they got married too young but are still great friends. Poppy goes for a holiday to Joel’s area and they bump into each other in the local garden centre farm shop. There is a spark and some flirting but nothing happens at that point. Poppy meets Joel’s friends,he’s not there though and she gets invited to Amber and Barneys wedding where Joel is the best man. You must get the book and read it and follow the journey of Joel and Poppy, brilliant book, didn’t want it to end and gutted it’s the end of this series.
The final instalment in Jessica Redland's bestselling Bumblebee Barn collection.
Thank you for granting me early access to this book and a special thank you to the author . What a performance. I loved it so much.
Thanks to the publishers and Netgalley for an advance copy of this book in exchange for a review.
The last instalment in the Bumble Bee Barn series which I'll be honest, I'm a bit gutted about. A lovely tale of Joel and Poppy and good to see some of our old friends making an appearance in the story too. Thoroughly enjoyed this story as I have all of the others.
Jessica Redland is fast becoming a one of my favourite go to authors..
A return to Barney and Amber on the farm and to Fizz at Hedgehog Hollow was like returning home to family and friends. With alternate chapters written from Joel and Poppys point of view it was very easy to become immersed in their lives, their dilemmas, their problems and their blossoming romance.
Topics such as loneliness, mental health, stalking and the loss of parents were handled sympathetically and may well resonate with some readers.
I am looking forward to reading the next book by Jessica be it set in the Lake District or in Yorkshire I am sure it will be a pleasure to catch up with old friends and make new ones.
This is a heartwarming tale that feels like a cozy hug in book form. It’s a journey of seeking second chances, fresh starts, and, ultimately, a place to belong. There are themes of love, friendship, and the healing power of community, and perfect for fans of small town romance tropes.
Jessica Redland is one of my very favourite authors in this genre, so I had high hopes for the final instalment in the Bumblebee Barn series - and I was not disappointed. As always, Jessica weaves a captivating and touching story that is populated with interesting and fully-formed characters.
The topics of dementia and loss are handled sensitively and although they play a significant role the story is not dominated by it or full of doom & gloom. Humour, friendship and romance flourish amongst the adversity in the lives of the main characters, and ultimately, it is a story of happiness & love.
This book does feature many characters from previous Bumblebee Barn and Hedgehog Hollow books, which is wonderful to be able to catch up with the lives of characters we know. However. this book can still easily be read as a stand-alone novel as none of the back-stories are a prerequisite for reading & enjoying this book.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and am looking forward to seeing where Jessica Redland takes us next.
A Forever Home at Honey Bee Croft by Jessica Redland
This is another delightful book in the series, and I absolutely love it! It was wonderful to reconnect with these characters. I appreciate how the series intertwines with many other books and characters, yet it can easily be enjoyed as a standalone.
Single dad Joel Grainger is dedicated to his little girl, Imogen, and does everything he can to play a significant role in her life. He is also best friends with Barney from Bumblebee Barn, where he serves as Barney's best man.
Poppy Wells has been struggling with life, particularly due to her father's dementia, which has become a heavy burden for her. However, an opportunity to stay at the beautiful Whisperwood Farmhouse, nestled in the Yorkshire countryside, may just change her life for the better.
Lovely final chapter in this series. There are cameo returns from some previous characters but the new characters-Joel and Poppy are welcome additions to the community. Both are having a difficult time when they meet with issues such as child custody, stalking, redundancy and Alzheimer’s involved. However, this is sweet, light and lovely romance that it’s perfect.
Joel Grainger loves nothing more than spending time with his daughter Imogen. Unfortunately, his ex-wife Tilly seems determined to do everything she can to limit that time. Now Joel has something else to worry about, he is in danger of losing his job, how will that effect his care of Imogen,
Poppy Wells is on the verge of burnout, if only she would acknowledge it. She spends her days working and visiting her elderly father who is in a care home with late-stage dementia.
Poppy’s friends persuade her she needs a break, so she goes to stay at Whisperwood Farmhouse in the Yorkshire Wolds.
When Joel and Poppy meet there is instant attraction, but with so much going on in each of their lives is this the right time for romance.
This is a lovely heart-warming story set in beautiful surroundings that will warm your heart on the coldest day. You don’t have to have read the previous books in the series, but I would highly recommend them.
Book three in the series, and I would definitely recommended reading the previous two books. This works as a standalone, but the other two are too lovely not to read!
Joel is dedicated to daughter Imogen, but fears he ex is going to move his daughter away from him. When it looks like he is also going to lose his job, his life seems to be changing drastically all at once. Poppy is desperate for a break - the pressure of her dad's deteriorating health is turning out to be detrimental to her own. When Poppy ends up bumping into Joel, there is an instant attraction. However, are either of them ready for a relationship?
I loved this ending to the series, it was fabulous to see old favourite characters, and I loved Poppy and Joel's story. I laughed and cried throughout, with the Alzheimer's story getting particularly close to home. Jessica Redland is a must-read author for me, her characters are relatable and her stories are so entertaining.
