A great new double act! Squirrel and Duck is a fun, pacy story which provides plenty of laughs as the two animals interact with the contemporary human world and the technological age. The characters, squirrel and duck, and the relationship between them take centre stage and is both entertaining and heartwarming with lots of witty banter. The plot is simple but dynamic and the villains, even if a bit stereotypical, are fun on the page. I loved the characters and settings that Squirrel and Duck met/visited on their adventure: from the grey squirrels to the internet cafe and the whole tone is upbeat with themes of the environment, moral dilemmas and fractious friendships. Can't wait for the next one.

Very funny book along with great illustrations. Tom Percival is just brilliant! This will make it on to my school reading newsletter as I know the children will love it.

I loved Squirrel and Duck...the book and the actual Squirrel and the actual Duck. So funny, so endearing. Plus the illustrations are full of action and humour.

I loved the set up of Squirrel and Duck being talking wild animals, in hiding, living in a fibreglass tree, in an abandoned theme park, hiding from humans, who might send them back to the lab. Honestly this book is as good as it sounds.

Clearly, we're going to get more from this wonderful friendship. I know so many children who will eat this up. I cant wait to share Squirrel and Duck with them.

See you soon Squirrel and Duck.

The unlikely duo of Duck and Squirrel go Kevin, Home Alone, on two thieves and hilarious fun ensues.
With Percival's iconic illustrations and equally iconic writing and characterisation, what we have here is a compelling, engaging and fun read for children from ages 7 and up. Silly and smart, this is a great book for reading together with your children.
