A gripping psychological thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. It is incredibly past paced and twisty and as the title says everyone is lying making it impossible to know who is reliable and which story is true. I enjoyed reading this book, the pacing of the book was nice, had me hooked as the way it was dropping hints for the plot, also it was not really easy to find the answers.

Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley.

This was a fast-paced psychological thriller that is interesting despite some things that annoyed me. Jen wakes up from a coma with no memory except that she had a husband and daughter. But her sister Rachel tells Jen she has neither. Rachel eventually tells Jen that she was in a terrible car crash and insinuated that Jen may have caused the crash on purpose. The novel, told only from Jen's point of view, follows Jen's determination to find out exactly what happened, and retrieve her lost memories. There are lots of twists and turns, and I have to admit, I didn't guess the major one -- perhaps because it made no sense to me at all.

It's an nteresting premise, although amnesia plots are nothing new; Jen is a tough, likeable character, and the reader roots for her to get well. I read the book very quickly, because I wanted to find out what happened as much as Jen did.

The fact that Jen suffered serious brain and bodily injuries, yet she is recuperating at home with only her sister and a male caregiver named Bryce to take care of her, is ridiculous. She should at least have been in a nursing facility. Rachel tells Jen that a doctor checks on her regularly, but the one time we witness this doctor's visit, she comes across as inept and suspicious. Bryce also is a question mark. He is a great cook and very attentive, but there is something about him that just doesn't ring true. Jen would have needed more care than she is given -- I would think at least brain/memory specialists, physical therapy and visits to rehab and medical clinics.

I also had trouble with the fact that Jen couldn't find out the truth, despite coming into contact with townspeople, who surely would have heard of the crash, since it is a small town -- the type where everyone knows everyone's business.

I don't want to give anyting away, but there were other plot issues that were a bit far-fetched. Still, as I already mentioned, I kept reading! I would rate it 3.5 stars if the rating was available.

Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and Bookouture Publishing for the E-ARC and the opportunity to read and review this novel.

The author, Holly Down, sets the stage for Everyone is Lying, with that enticing title and the prologue that made me wonder where in the world she would go with this.

It was easy for me to get caught up in the story and wonder about who wasn't telling the truth and why would anyone lie. It seems like the prologue made it all pretty straightforward. Holly Down's led me along with a little red herring here, a somewhat frightening encounter there until everything was finally revealed in the end.

Good job.

I’m so happy I was approved for early access for this book. From the very first chapter, you are gripped and wonder how has this happened and who caused it.
There weren’t many twists and turns, and I was adamant who I thought done it but I was wrong.
A easy readable book, a lot of twists and turns, you get to know the characters, their backstories and why they done what they done. The chapter were at a great length too, as I for one do not enjoy very long chapters, but these were great. You weren’t left asking well how did that happen as everything was explained in great detail.
Thank you for a fantastic book, and I look forward to reading more from this author

Thank you Bookouture and NetGalley for an early copy of Everyone is Lying. Soooooooo frustrating, it took forever to find out what’s going on, way tooooooo long. Tooo coincidental with the bus situation also. When it finally picked up, way after the halfway point, it was really good. Sick plot, AWESOME ending.

"Everyone Is Lying" is a gripping psychological thriller that takes readers on an intense, suspenseful journey. The novel opens with a compelling premise: a woman awakens from a coma with no memory, only to discover her husband and baby, whom she vividly remembers, do not exist according to her sister. This sets the stage for a chilling exploration of memory, identity, and deception.

Whilst I really enjoyed this book I was a bit frustrated with some of the plot holes! If you have access to a phone then why not Google the information you need? That said its a great story.

Everyone Is Lying is a gripping, can't-put-down psychological thriller. After a terrible accident, Jen wakes up not remembering anything about her life but her name. A woman, who claims to be her sister, and an at-home nurse are the only two people who appear to know or care about what happened to Jen. Jen doesn't understand why she doesn't have more family or friends surrounding her. What kind of life had she lived before her accident? As her memories begin to return, Jen is convinced that she is married with a child; however, if that is the case, then where are those who supposedly love her most?

Everyone Is Lying is fast-paced with short chapters. I absolutely needed to find out what happened to Jen and who Rachel and Bryce were, as well as what happened between Jen, Cathy, and Ian. There were lots of twists that I did not see coming throughout the book. I enjoyed how the reader and Jen were both in the same boat - not knowing what happened or who anyone is. Just like Jen, I had absolutely no idea who to trust. I did think that the end was a bit convoluted. I just thought there was too much behind the accident and everything else. It all became too unbelievable. With that said, I did like the final chapter. I will definitely read more by Holly Down!

Jen wakes up not knowing where or who she is. We follow her journey as she tries to regain her memory little by little. What really happened to Jen and who is responsible?

The book started out a little slow, but it still held my interest as the authors writing kept me wanting to continue reading to find out what happened to Jen. It is repetitive in some parts, but your life is pretty mundane when you’re trying to find out who you are and what happened to you. Jen’s circle is small, and without being able to move much, she has to believe what those few people around her tell her. The story moves quicker towards the ending but I enjoyed guessing people’s motives throughout the book.

This is an exceptional psychological thriller, it is incredibly past paced and twisty and as the title says everyone is lying making it impossible to know who is reliable and which story arc is true.

I love how lost I got in these pages as the story unfolded and no matter how hard I tried to second guess the author, I soon discovered that trying to establish who was telling the truth was 100%  akin to attempting to staple jelly to a wall.

I'd be hard pushed to identify a character that I liked in the book, I wanted so much to be on the side of the main character, but I'm not sure she was a great person either before or after the accident that sees her bed bound.

Fans of Lisa Jewell will absolutely devour this book and I am grateful to the author, Netgalley and Bookouture for an ARC in return for an honest review.

A gripping psychological thriller that keeps you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. The story follows a complex web of secrets, lies, and deceit that unfolds around a central mystery. The pacing is fast and tight, with plenty of twists that will leave readers second-guessing everything they thought they knew.

Down’s writing is sharp and expressive, creating a tense atmosphere that pulls you deeper into the characters' lives. The characters are well-developed, with motivations that feel real and relatable, even if their actions can be questionable at times. The unreliable narrators add another layer of intrigue, making it difficult to know who to trust.

Overall, this is a fast-paced, well-crafted thriller that will leave readers thinking long after the last page. It’s a solid choice for fans of suspense and mystery, and well worth the read.

This was a really gripping thriller that had me hooked from the first page! I flew through this so quickly because I just had to know what was going on. I absolutely love the amnesia trope in thrillers, and I found that aspect of the story really interesting! I would recommend this to anyone looking for a book that you cannot put down, and keeps you guessing until the last page!

This book gave me absolutely everything I needed: a quick, edge of your seat thriller, wrapped up in the most satisfying way possible. Strongly recommend this book when it is released for anyone needing a quick, un-put-downable thriller.

Plot:
Jen wakes up from a coma with no memory of who she is or what happened to her. Naturally, this leads her down a paranoia filled journey of self discovery. Each person she encounters seems to have their own issues that create an uneasy barrier between Jen and the truth. Turns out, you can't trust anyone!

Thanks:
Thank you to NetGalley, Holly Down, and Bookouture publishing for this ARC.

Okay, so I absolutely loved this book!

Straight from the prologue I was hooked! When I thought I had things figured out, a new twist would happen!

Whilst a little longwinded at times, this book still sucked you in & kept you hooked throughout! It had me second guessing who was trustworthy or not!

Also, that ending 😮😏

Thanks for much to NetGalley for the ARC!

Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture Publishing for providing me with an ARC of Everyone is Lying. 🥰

This book kept me on the edge of my seat, questioning who to trust until the very last page. I was captivated by the story of Jen, who wakes up from a coma with retrograde amnesia. With only two people in her life—her sister Rachel and her caretaker Bryce—she can’t shake the feeling that she once had a family of her own. As Jen grapples with her physical and mental struggles, her determination to uncover the truth about herself drives the narrative. 👀

The characters are introduced gradually, adding depth and complexity to the mystery. Each chapter ends with a twist, making this book truly unputdownable.

This book is ok. Seems very far fetched to me. Jen is in an accident and wakes up with no memory. She doesn’t remember her sister who is taking care of her, but does remember a husband and baby. As Jen’s memory comes back, she realizes pretty much everyone is lying to her. Why? What are they hiding? I skimmed it more than anything.
