I'm a fool for a 'why choose' but sadly this one fell a little flat. I loved our male characters, and I started out liking our FMC but sis fell off a bit. I couldn't feel their chemistry, so it was hard for me to get invested. I really loved the premise though and would love to check out future books.

Lets start with the positives about this book. I like the idea of it a lot. I like the why choose aspect of the story as well, both the men in the story are pretty hunky and are thoroughly obsessed with the FMC. The story itself had good bones and I was VERY excited to see what it had in store on the onset of reading. Unfortunately that is where it ends for me.

I did not love the FMC Lilly. In the first couple chapters she was a baddie server and then she became a completely different character. Very meek and mild, afraid of her power and what she is. I was so exciting learning that she had power and that there was a shadow hunter like "chosen one" vibe about her. Unfortunately for me this didn't develop in a way I found intriguing. I found the relationships with the all of the characters progressed very quickly with no real reason or grounds for the developments. I didn't FEEL anything between the characters it felt too easy. Unfortunately for me there just wasn't enough depth to anything.

There were some plot points that really just didn't work for me however that's not to say another reader wouldn't love them for example:
-It gives me the ick that Asmodeus met Lilly when she was a child and he was full grown and now they are sexual together.
-Asmodeus talks about being a big ole demon but he isn't. None of his actions match what he is in most ways. I would expect a demon to be more prickly, less emotional, and more rough.
-There are plot holes like the demons not having been on earth for longer than Lilly has been alive but they fully know and understand parts of modern technology that they shouldn't.

I think a lot of the book is a "tell and not show" kind of story and that just doesn't work for me. Overall I really LOVE the idea. the premise is so good, being lusted after and protected by a high ranking demon and an archangel. The execution just isn't for me and that is okay. I think there is definitely a target audience for this book and I'm just not it. Two stars for the idea, I cant give it less because the potential is sky high.

This was a new type of story for me: angels/demons, and I really enjoyed it! The writing keep me active and engaged. I'm not generally a 'why choose' kind of reader, but I didn't mind this one. I can't wait for this series to continue.

*Sanctum* by Luna Kayne is an exhilarating blend of dark fantasy and epic adventure, packed with tension, complex characters, and a gripping prophecy. Lily, an unsuspecting mortal with a hidden destiny, is thrust into a war between realms, flanked by an archangel and an archdemon who can’t stand each other. The dynamic between the three is electric—equal parts conflict, camaraderie, and reluctant trust.

The story masterfully weaves high-stakes action with moments of vulnerability as Lily grapples with her newfound role in a cosmic battle. The world-building is immersive, the stakes are monumental, and the clash of divine and demonic forces keeps you on the edge of your seat. If you love stories about chosen ones, reluctant alliances, and the fate of worlds hanging in the balance, *Sanctum* is a must-read. It’s intense, emotional, and leaves you eagerly awaiting what’s next in this epic saga.

This book was so beautifully written. I was hooked on every word and nearly unable to put down this book. It’s a why choose romance with a prophecy and a trial. I found it to be a very interesting take on the whole demons and angels and it was original and honestly just completely fascinating.
There was some smut but it wasn’t too much, it was just enough. All of the characters were lovely, and well written. I loved the way the two male main characters worked through their jealousy and I adored the way their relationship with the female main character was written. The friendships were so beautiful and just everything I wanted.
Some parts of the book were confusing but that confusion was cleared up quickly enough.
There was a cliffhanger right at the end that just left me gasping for more. It wasn’t quite a five star but it was so close to being one for me. The main reason it wasn’t quite a five star is because in some places it was kind of predictable. The why choose also didn’t play out the way I had quite anticipated and in some parts I found it a little lacking.

Overall I absolutely loved this book and will be getting my hands on it when it is finally released.

This was a fantastic novel, I enjoyed the way it uses the genre and how well the overall feel worked with the world. The overall feel worked and I enjoyed the use of angels and demons in this. Luna Kayne has a strong writing style and was glad I got to read this.

10 chapters in and the book went nowhere. The writing was so messy you had no clue what was happening. Even past the first quarter of the book I was bored and couldn’t connect what the author was ranting about. Very disappointing
