Set in the Boston Underworld, Lehane takes you to the heart of money laundering and the side of Boston that is not all 'Cheers'. As usual Lehane's characters are gritty and all the more believable for their deviousness. This book shows the desperation that poverty, disenfranchisement and lack of hope brings. I loved it for all of that!
