I love when a cookbook gets down to business and for the most part that is what Erin Romeo did. While I expected her 5 steps for meal prep to be "duh" there were actually some helpful hints in there.

I loved the meal plan options with how to meal prep them. I especially loved the different dietary options listed.

The recipes looked really yummy and nutritious, but also weren't filled with "weird" ingredients I see in a lot of healthy things. I think many are very family friendly which is a plus. The pictures were great and recipes laid out in a user friendly way.

My only suggestion might be to include the recipes directly after the meal plan for using them, but I also understand the goal is to be useable to select your own as well. Having the page numbers helps a lot though. Definitely going to add this to my shelf.

The first thing I loved about this book is that it broke down what kind of containers I needed. I didn;t have to guess. And I finally understand glass versus plastic! Though I'm miffed why coffee is approved but black tea isn't. Guess what? Black tea is safer for me than herbal so I'm already going off the approved food list lol. I liked that Erin Romeo included several plans that are typical ones people must use. These only last four days so I guess you need to mix it up the rest of the week. The meal prep takes up one page for each plan and then teh rest of teh book is the recipes. I wish there were more pictures but what pictures there are gorgeous. Some recipes seemed a lot longer than I figured they should with prep while others seemed just right.

I loved this book. It is not life-changing or exceptionally original, but it is perfect if you want to start meal-prep and you are feeling overwhelmed because it guides you step by step. It explains everything you need to do, and everything you need to have at hand, and it is really helpful to build a good routine for it.
I like the idea of meal-prepping, even if routines do not apply to my weekly schedule, but from time to time I do it because it is helpful and it can help with eating healthier, that's for sure.
And this book is not only full of good advice about the technical aspects, but it is also full of yummi recipes, and I am pretty curious to try some of them out. This book made me famished!
But that aside, it was an interesting and informative read. And I recommend it if you are in search of a good guide to meal-prepping.

Easy Meal Prep by Erin Romeo was a great book that almost seemed made for me. As a member of the Invisible Disability community I really struggle to find the time or the energy to make meals daily so constantly seem to be living on ready meals or soup. I want to get better about my health this year so started reading and planning to meal prep so that I can eat healthier this year.
I would highly recommend this book.

Great tips and prep ideas. I liked the lists of how to prepare to meal prep. Great photos but needed more. Easy to follow recipes

Thank you to NetGalley, the author and publisher for a temporary, digital ARC in return for my review.

Who wouldn't enjoy this great guide to easy meal prepping? I found this book helpful, fun and very useful. I, having a full time job that takes me away from daily cooking and duties around the home, it makes sense to do more meal prepping to be more prepared daily. It's ri much better to know o have food and snacks cover d for lunch and dinner when I'm on the go.

Okay I have to admit: I saw the cover and knew I needed it. This book is great! It's organized well and there are lots of great recipes, too. I think this ia great step book for readers who want to learn more about meal prepping. She breaks it down pretty well.

There are so many meal prep books out today. I like that this one by Erin Romeo included different types of meal plans instead of just a blanket plan for everyone. It makes it very customizable.

Meal prep is the buzz word of the kitchen in recent months, and I can understand how it could really help an active family. Being retired, I really don't need to plan whole weeks of menus ahead, but I could stand to have a few meals prepped in the freezer for busy times. And I certainly could learn to use up all the produce I buy without waste. Last winter I hosted a Saturday meal prep with my daughter and two DILs. We each brought ingredients for one meal(enough for the four families) and spent the morning chopping, prepping, etc. It was FUN and I didn't even mind the dishes. So when I got a chance to read an advance copy of this book, I was hoping to score some new recipes and ideas.
But on the most part I was disappointed. Photos are colorful and fun to look at, but the book is divided into different types of diets (high-protein, vegetarian, dairy-free, gluten-free, low-carb, or just trying to eat healthy). That is a different set up from other meal prep books which focus on lists of ingredients to make multiple meals at once and then freeze them cooked or uncooked for future eating. If your family fits into one of the above diet catefories, then give this book a try. Otherwise, I say gather a few friends and have your own meal prep experience. It will be fun.

This is a great cookbook with recipes anyone can pull off, regardless of skill or experience. The recipes include items easily found at your local grocery. I particularly appreciated the vibrant pictures of each dish and am especially looking forward to trying the Thai peanut bowl and the black bean burgers. Thank you Netgalley. for the advanced copy!

I own many cookbooks and as a busy mom who prepares meals for my family every night, this book appeals to me. The beauty of the majority of these meals is they can be made ahead or the day of. Most make 4 servings, so if you're cooking for two, now dinner is already made for another night in your week. There are freezing instructions for some of the meals and some last longer than 5 days, which is helpful. I love the variety of ingredients Erin includes. The recipes seem easily adaptable to different lifestyles.

I'm not new to meal prep. I like the idea of having breakfast and lunch prepared so I can avoid another trip through the drive thru. I like Erin's suggestion of doing mini prep days. Previously when I've meal prepped it has taken me an entire day and after I'm exhausted from cooking all day, then I have to find room in my refrigerator to store everything.

I'm no stranger to previewing a cookbook at the bookstore prior to purchasing. So when I saw this book was available for any NetGalley user, I was very interested in checking it out. Most recipes have beautiful photos of the meal, which is a factor I look for. Erin also has a brief description of each and why it was included, which is also important to me. I'd be happy to add this one to my collection and I could see myself going back to it many times. I selected a few of the recipes to prepare this week for myself, and my family.

My only suggestion would be to add a note about what desiccated coconut is. I've never heard of shredded coconut being described this way.

Overall, this is a useful cookbook filled with easy to follow recipes and mostly common ingredients. I'm looking forward to preparing the ones I picked out and I'd be interested in future books should Erin decide to publish more.

Update: after preparing some of the recipes from the book, I would only suggest this book for experienced cooks who want to introduce meal prep. These recipes are all low fat and quite bland despite multiple ingredients being used. An experienced cook would know where fat will be needed for flavor. I won’t be recommending this book on social media because I feel it would be misleading my followers, and I’d rather not publicly share my dislike of the recipes.

I loved this meal prep book. What I really liked was in each recipe the author tells how long it will last in the fridge or freezer. The recipes are easy to follow. I do wish there were more pictures because the ones included were awesome.

This is a great cookbook perfect for anyone who wants to learn new easy recipes! The photos are great throughout and the recipes are easy to follow. I tried the 'Chocolate Granola' and really enjoyed it. The recipes I'm excited to try are the 'Apple Cinnamon Waffles' and the 'Not Your Mama's Meatloaf Muffins'. Special Thank You to Erin Romeo, Quarto Publishing Group and NetGalley for allowing me to read a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review.

Appealing recipes with photos make this book hard to resist. The text and directions are clear and written in a way that is friendly, especially if you are new to meal prepping. Most recipes are true meal prep, designed to stay in the fridge for a few days before eating. Few have freezing directions.

If you’re interested in meal prep, this book is a winner!

I’ve been meal prepping for years, but I always like to see how other people do it. There was a lot of stuff I already know or do, but some great tips on a few different things I might try. The recipes were great with something for everyone—low carb, high protein, gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian etc. I highly recommend this little gem! Huge thanks to Quarto publishing and Netgalley for allowing me to read and review this book!

Nicely laid out, well illustrated.
This would be perfect for someone looking at or thinking about food prep for the very first time. There's a nice selection of recipes - all well laid out with clear instructions, storage and reheating guidance.
Anyone who has been meal prepping for a while would likely find this book too elementary.
