I loved this! It is so great because it has so many recipes that are easy to make. I love when recipe books have a picture of the food, clear instructions, clearly stated ingredients, and this one even has clear cook time and prep time. The author is amazing for this resource. I found so many this I want to try and make.
I definitely recommend for everyone to give this book a try. You might find your next favorite meal.
Thank you to the author, the publisher, and NetGalley for this e-ARC.

This cookbook is a good starting point for those interested in getting into meal prep at a beginner level. The book holds your hand through every element of making meal prep not only a successful venture but solidifying it as a fulfilling habit in your daily routine.
I loved some of the extra details and care taken with this book. For instance, there were separate notes for gluten free and veggie options which is always welcomed and increases the accessibility of this book beyond the average reader to another demographic. The recipes themselves were super easy to read and simple to follow but simultaneously there were a lot of fun options that felt exciting which can be challenging to do especially with simple meal prep.
This cookbook is healthy at its heart which once again makes it a perfect cookbook for anyone. However, I did feel like some of the recipes lacked seasonings and felt a little bland in places. This is the only trouble area as I feel like its the perfect springboard but a read would need preexisting knowledge to adapt the recipes and finesse them which is obviously not going to be an option for someone who is a beginner cook.

Full of tips and tricks and easy-to-follow recipes to help you gain meal prep success! This is a wonderfully edited and executed cookbook! I definitely recommend this for anyone who wants to start meal prepping.
Thank you to NetGalley, Quarto Publishing Group, Rock Point and Erin Romeo for giving me an ARC of this cool cookbook!

I struggle with what to make so meal prepping is a way for me to eat well without resorting to fast food, great guide for me to improve my diet in the new year.

If you’re not familiar with meal prepping, this has 5 steps describing the process. I expected it to be a little heavier on meal prepping, but this was mostly a recipe book. It had a bunch of ideas for various nutritional needs. There were some recipes I definitely plan to try.
Thank you to the author, Quarto Publishing Group, and NetGalley for the Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

This book was fine. I think for young people or people trying to eat less processed food and maybe bring lunches from home more to work, it is a good starting point. It gives a brief overview of meal prepping at the start and then has a lot of recipes. Most of these recipes are pretty basic, but those are often some of the ones that work great for meal prepping, so again, I do think it is a good starting point for someone who is more of a beginner in the kitchen or someone who wants to eat less store bought food.
Before Workweek Lunch was sold, it really was the best place for meal prep resources. Another great place is Skinnytaste - she has a cookbook dedicated to meal prepping as well. I think even just taking the dieting and weight loss element out of it, eating homecooked food and learning how to make time and plan to do that in a way that is affordable is an important skill for all of us, since eating out all the time is going to be more expensive and less healthy but we all are so low on time and extra funds!

This was perfection. I've been wanting to start meal prepping and this is exactly what I needed. It's like a bible for beginners filled with a variety of different types of recipes you're sure to find at least a few if not all.
Thank you Erin Romeo and Quarto Publishing Group – Rock Point | Rock Point.

A decent intro to meal prep. Has a meal plan for multiple diets/nutritional needs (e.g. vegetarian, gluten-free, etc...). Recipes seem relatively easy to prepare. More experienced cooks may not get much use out of it.

Easy Meal Prep includes a number of straightforward recipes with clear instructions that look easy to follow.
There are suggested meal plans (including vegetarian and high protein) at the start, and advice about shopping and the best containers to use.
I’m vegetarian, and although this book does contain meat and fish recipes, there are still plenty of vegetarian options or recipes that would be quite easy to adapt.
The accompanying photos make the food look appetising, and overall there are a number of recipes I am keen to try - for example: granola, protein banana bread, Thai bowls, and I'm looking forward to being more organised with meal prep in the future.

I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.
The Visual Guide to Easy Meal Prep is a handy and informative guide to not only meal prep but ways to save money/budget on food better, organise, shop, save time/shortcuts, eat healthier and cleaner and plan meals more effectively. The book contains some great recipes and meal prep instructions and includes handy tips and meal/ingredient alternatives, too. This is a great book to start the new year with and is a great starting point for anyone looking to change meal prep and eating habits as a whole.

An excellent volume of meal prep tips combined with healthy recipes that can be premade for easy eating.

A solid introduction to healthy recipes and meal prepping. The recipes didn't resonate with me but there are a few I might try out, I do think if you are a beginner cook or someone looking for simple recipes this will be a good jumping off place.

Thank you to Quarto Publishing Group – Rock Point and NetGalley for providing me with an advanced reader copy of this book.
This book is a great introduction to meal prepping for beginners and a great resource for seasoned meal preppers. I love the way this book is organized and how the author provides a lot of pointers and tips to help successfully prepare your meals for the week.
There are five different plans to help with the more common food diets. The recipes are easy to follow and most have pictures.

Love this book! So easy to follow. Great pictures. It basically does what it says in the title: Easy Meal Prep without padding it out. Would highly recommend to everyone.
Thank you to NetGalley and the Publishers for an advanced copy.

I adore meal planning and batch cooking and this book is right up my street. I love the clear and concise instructions/tips at the start of the book and how it is all laid out. As a mum to two teens, we have made and love the breakfast burritos and the egg and cheese muffin sandwiches - these are already in the works in my kitchen! For work lunches I have already made a batch of the superfood green salad along with the vegetable and tofu skewers (delicious!) , I particularly loved the ginger-soy chicken thighs and the steak fajitas as mains.
All in all, a really good, well explained, beautifully photographed meal prep book featuring healthy, well balanced meals which I would highly recommend.

Easy Meal Prep is a guide to meal prepping. It has everything you need to make meal prep easy, from the foundational steps to basic recipes.

I keep wanting to get into meal prepping but I haven't been able to really get started. This book gives detailed instructions for someone just starting out. The recipes looked delicious and didn't use a bunch of weird ingredients that picky eaters won't like. I will be purchasing this book for my child in college who is into meal prepping. This will broaden his horizons as he only cooks chicken breasts for the week. The only thing missing is the nutritional information for each recipe. I think that would have been helpful.

Thank you to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group for the digital ARC.
This is such a helpful book for anyone beginning their meal prep journey, it is so detailed and informative. It was a simple and easy to understand read, I love the step-by-step guide to getting started. I also love the different meal plan options and the recipes that go along with them.

A BIG THANK YOU to Quarto Publishing Group, Rock Point, and NetGalley for the ARC of Easy Meal Prep: Save Time and Eat Healthy with over 75 Recipes by Erin Romeo, a fantastic resource for anyone looking to simplify their cooking routine while staying committed to a healthier lifestyle.
This book shines in its straightforward approach, walking readers through the meal prep process step by step. Erin’s five-step system is particularly helpful, breaking down everything from grocery shopping to portioning meals in a way that feels approachable for beginners yet useful for seasoned meal preppers. The introduction and her concept of "mini-preps" stand out as key takeaways, making the idea of meal prep feel less overwhelming and more adaptable to busy schedules. Erin’s flexible approach to dietary preferences ensures this guide will resonate with a wide audience.
The recipes are another strong point, with standout options like the Pineapple Ginger Green Smoothies, Apple Cinnamon Walnut Muffins, and Thai Bowls with Peanut Sauce offering flavor-packed, nutritious solutions for meal prep. The recipes are easy to follow, with clear instructions and approachable ingredients, making them accessible even to those who don’t consider themselves culinary experts. Erin’s tips for using the right containers and her advice on food storage are also incredibly useful for ensuring meal prep success. That said, some of the side options, such as a single piece of fruit or a handful of almonds, feel overly restrictive and might leave certain readers wanting more variety or substance.
Easy Meal Prep remains a valuable tool, filled with practical advice and plenty of recipes worth returning to time and again. For anyone interested in making meal prep a sustainable part of their routine, this book is an excellent starting point. Thank you again to NetGalley and the publisher for providing an advanced copy in exchange for this honest review.

Easy Meal prep is a simple, yet accommodating guide on how to successfully complete the daunting task of meal prepping. For a long time I believed that meal prepping had to take up a whole day, cost so much more energy that I can put out, and requires meticulous planning. Erin broke down the process into more manageable portions. From the containers, chopping prep, and portioning, it made meal prepping so much easier to think about. The steps are straightforward, and the meals are healthy. There are some aspects where the meal prepping instructions are chopped, where the reader should insert some self-guidance as to where to move forward. It definitely has the concept, but initially looking at the breakfast it felt like something people already do. Not truly innovative or novel recipes but they can get you by through the week.
