Wow, what a book!! It was addictive, chilling and mind- blowing; a real page turner that kept me on the edge of my seat throughout each chapter! I had so many questions in relation to what happened to Evie!
I like this authors writing style T.M Logan always leave you guessing and eagerly turning the pages!
The characters were well written I could empathise with Lauren and the lengths she went to find her daughter, Evie. What an ending oh my goodness I was speechless didn’t see that coming at all!
I’d highly highly recommend this book another cracking book by T.M Logan!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars

Couldn't put this down, I was on the look out for a good thriller and this was it.
Fly by the seats of your pants as your follow Lauren on her quest to uncover what really happened to her daughter. The police aren't taking Evie's disappearance too seriously, but Lauren knows something isn't right.
This book goes down some very dark holes, with some big twists (the final one, I did see coming, something didn't sit right with me in an earlier scene and I was happy to be proves right!)
If you've enjoyed TM Logan's earlier books, you'll devour this one!
Thanks to netgalley for the opportunity to review this book, this is my honest opinion.

Thankyou to net galley and the publisher for giving me the chance to read this novel and to the author for yet again another amazing book .

TM Logan doing what he does best, scaring the pants off parents while asking the question: How far would you go to save your child? I’ve read and loved all of Tim’s books so far and The Daughter is no exception. I found the teaming up of mother and young son different and refreshing. I can’t wait to see what comes next!
Thank you Netgalley for this ARC.

This book starts with a bang, throwing the hook of the story straight in your face!
🥜In a nutshell...
Lauren can't wait to pick her daughter Evie up from university at the end of her first term. But when she arrives at her hall and knocks on the door to her room, a stranger opens it. At first, Lauren thinks she must have the wrong room, But she soon realises the truth: Evie's not there. She hasn't been there for weeks. So where is she?
✈️I read this on my journey to the UK last week, it's the perfect holiday read, fast paced, gripping and easy to read.
The perfect solution to a book slump, I'd deffo recommend if you want a book you can tank in one sitting.

The Daughter
I was intrigued to request this book and I am glad I did. This is the first book I have read by TM Logan, and I’m now a new fan of his.
4 chapters in and I was already hooked. I’m a huge fan of psychological thrillers and the pace of any book is a big factor for me. Too slow and I will not finish. But this book is going at a fantastic pace for myself. The style of writing is great, the chapters are at a perfect length (it’s hard to put it down after saying only one for chapter).
Every chapter flows great, I didn’t have to look back and see what I had read the night before. The twists and turns in this book were brilliant.
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and I can’t wait to read more from TM Logan. Thank you for allowing me to read this advanced copy.

With many thanks to Netgalley for this free arc and I am leaving this unbiased review voluntarily.
In true Tim Logan style this moves at a blistering pace. Well written with some great characters especially little Lucas who is wonderfully portrayed. Grabs you straight from the first chapter and you just have to keep reading to find out what has happened to Evie. Some great twists along the way make this a captivating and addictive read. Great flow to the book and the additional chapters from Evie added depth to the story. Slightly over-long but other than that a brilliant read.

My top TM Logan has always been The Catch, but this new one gives that a run for its money! I read this at a time when I was struggling to get into any books, and it cured my reading slump completely. I kept on reading into the night, like being back to my old self again. There were so many twists and turns - Logan is never predictable - and the relationship between Lauren and Lucas was just so lovely. I'd quite like a Lucas as a little brother! i like how up-to-date Logan's books are - they're not afraid to tackle the topics of the day, and they make use of technology (and here the dark web too), rather than pretending it doesn't exist for plot purposes. So a definite 5-star read from me!

Lauren goes to collect her daughter from university only to discover that she hasn’t been there for weeks. The university aren’t able to help her and the police seem to be even more less interested. I empathised with Lauren as I would hate to be in her position. Whilst she and her daughter didn’t always see eye to eye, she knows Evie would never just take off and not let her know.
Things pick up pace very quickly with Lauren, and the help of her young son, doing their own investigation into Evie’s disappearance. Small snippets of information have you never knowing quite where the story is going to go next. My heart was literally in my mouth many a time as Lauren gets closer to discovering the truth.
The Daughter is full of unexpected twists with one totally blowing my mind! I would go as far as to say it’s one of the best twists I have read in a very long while. I literally could not put it down as I was consumed as to what has happened to Lauren’s daughter and I was every bit as desperate for answers. A highly addictive, keep you up all night read with some jaw-dropping twists! All the stars!

I couldn’t wait to start this book as I have enjoyed all of T.M Logan’s book and this was absolutely brilliant. I couldn’t put it down, was completely hooked and finished it in a day.
Lauren can’t wait to collect her daughter Evie after be first term in university but when she goes to collect her she is nowhere to be found and has just disappeared.
The storyline had me hooked and I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough as the fast paced story took me on so many twists and trims with plenty of red herrings.
The characters were well written and as a mother myself I could understand how Lauren was feeling and how far she was willing to go to find her daughter.
The ending was excellent and the complete opposite to what I was expecting.
Thanks to NetGalley, Bonnier Books UK and T.M Logan for an advance copy in exchange for an honey and unbiased review.

Lauren is at her daughter’s university picking her up to take her home for the Christmas break, it is the first time her and Evie have been apart for this long and she is looking forward to seeing her.
But when she gets to the dorm, she is not there, and her phone is disconnected all of a sudden. After speaking to the university, Lauren isn’t getting closer to finding out where her daughter is, she seems to have vanished. Will Lauren find her?
Another page turner from T.M. Logan, I couldn’t put this down and read it in a few days.

Oof this was a right page-turner, I devoured it in about 3 days! If you’re a fan of T M Logan’s style of fast-paced domestic thrillers, then you’ll not be disappointed with The Daughter.
The plot… Lauren is looking forward to picking up her daughter Evie from her first term at university studying Law. She’s not seen her since dropping her off at her halls of residence on her first day. But when she gets there, despite Evie texting her earlier that day, there’s someone else living in her room. Evie is nowhere to be found, and her phone is now dead. What has happened to her?
Now at this point I started to get stressed by some of the university procedures and stuff as someone who has worked at one for a long time - and I had to keep telling myself to shush and that it doesn’t matter that a PhD student would never refer to their thesis as a dissertation. 🤣
But anyway the story quickly moved on from the university setting and I thought I could relax. But of course I could not because the story ramped up into an incredible cat and mouse chase across London as Lauren and her son Lucas start to investigate and delve into the mystery that Evie has become involved in.
There were so many twists and turns I was not expecting - I had no idea what was going on until all was revealed! My only reason for knocking off a star being it was maybe TOO much! But I certainly enjoyed it a lot and struggled to put it down!

I really enjoyed this book. I liked the writing style, and the characterisation was very good. Most of the book is told from Lauren's POV, but I appreciated the occasional chapter from Evie's perspective, it added depth. I was impressed by the writing, in that interactions and dialogue between characters felt natural, as this is a hard thing to get right. The story itself was engaging and held my interest.
I did think the book was a little over-long, cutting it down a bit would have made for a pacier read as I did feel my interest ebbing away sometimes. I did also guess the big twist, but I don't think this impacted my enjoyment too much.
Overall this was a good book and I would recommend it.

Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for this arc.
T. M. Logan is one of my all time fave authors so I was really excited when I was approved for this arc.
Wow!! This book definitely did not disappoint. Twists and turns I didn’t see coming.
I throughly enjoyed this one and already can’t wait for T. M. Logan’s next book.
10 out 10. Highly recommend

I have read and enjoyed a few books by T.M. Logan and this was just as enjoyable. A family thriller that grips from the start and is a real page turner. You will be invested after the first chapter and will be hooked and eager to find out what has happened. An excellent thriller that I highly recommend.

Where has Lauren’s daughter gone? Evie went to university and at the end of her first term she’s no where to be found when Lauren arrives to collect her.
Evie is missing and Lauren can’t get in touch with her. The police don’t appear interested and then another parent connects as her daughter has also gone missing.
It’s a desperate race that becomes dangerous to find Evie. Is she even alive?
There were some great twists in this book. A book that was very well written and well worth the five star review

Big fan of T.M. Logan, I enjoyed this book but less than previous ones. I found Lauren made lots of strange choices, and despite all she was going through she was always leaving Lucas either on his own or with relative strangers. He also seemed pretty savvy for a 12 year old. Got real dark towards the end, but it definitely kept me reading.

Being a fan of TM Logan, I was excited to be approved for his new novel The Daughter.
For those familiar with his previous work, The Daughter doesn't represent a move away from his standard novels which work well. That thriller with a family/domestic dimension works so well in previous books and again here.
His novels, as always, start with a great hook. In the first chapter, we follow Lauren who is on her way to pick up her daughter Evie from University after her first semester. When a stranger answers Evie's door and has no clue as to who Evie is, Lauren finds herself with very few people to turn to as the University and Police do not appear to have any interest.
With her mother's intuition in full flow, Lauren embarks on a dangerous journey to find out exactly what happened to Evie.
As I say, this was definitely a page turner and once you read that first paragraph, you will be desperate to know just what happened to Evie so cancel your plans and get ready to stay up all night saying 'just one more chapter'

T.M Logan is one of my favourite authors, so I was super excited to read this new book. It certainly didn’t disappoint! I loved the plot and was drawn into it quickly and was kept guessing throughout.
This really is a must read and is screaming to be made into the next tv drama.
