T.M Logan has done it again!! Wowy!
Another gripping and exciting read that I genuinely couldn't put down!

This book is every parents worse nightmare - 'where is my daughter?' - I love how Logan always writes such believable premises. This could and most likely has happened before. However, despite the realistic start, the book really did go a bit wild towards the end. It was pretty nuts, and a lot less believable - for this reason, I couldn't give the full 5*.

That did not necessarily hinder my enjoyment though - hooked from beginning to end, despite the chaos!
Definitely recommend, and I look forward to reading whatever T.M Logan does next!

This is an excellent thriller that I found difficult to put down. It revolves round a missing daughter, and a race against time searching for her, dead or alive. It’s exciting and fast paced. I thoroughly recommend it.

My thanks to the author, to the publisher and to Netgalley the opportunity to read and review this book.

As always with T.M. Logan I found myself gripped immediately by the suspense and fast pace, great read overall.

When Lauren heads to pick her daughter Evie up from university, she is shocked when there is no sign of her. Someone else is living in her dormroom and the university has no record of her presence for weeks. Where is she?

This heartstopping book was such a wild ride! It is every mother's nightmare to lose a child so I couldn't help but feel for Lauren as she went about discovering things about Evie and what she had been up to. Every time I thought I guessed at what was happening, I was proved wrong. There are so many twists in this story that you'll not be able to pick what is going to happen next. It was such a well written book and another winner for this author.

Thank you to NetGalley and Bonnier Books UK for the ARC

T.M. Logan is an author that has been hyped for me forever and he did not disappoint! The Daughter is a brilliant thriller full of twists and turns and unreliable characters. I was at the edge of my seat and flipped page after page because I wanted to know how it would end. Highly recommed!

Thank you to netgalley for providing me an E-ARC in exchange for an honest review. I haven't ventured fully into Logan's works but I did enjoy this one! I feel it lost its footing slightly towards the end but I do appreciate it is hard to keep the correct pacing for a 400 page thriller. I did enjoy the build up of this story though! I was grasped by the first page making this a super easy read. I also enjoyed some of the twists that were involved! I would recommend this! I will be reading more by this author.

T M Logan never disappoints with a superb, twisty thriller. This one gripped me from the first chapter and didn't let go until I'd finished the last sentence. The story moves at a relentless pace, keeping me on the edge of my seat and eager to find out what would happen next. Fantastic, compelling, heart pounding action from beginning to end. Loved it!!

I LOVED this book so much. Right from the start I was hooked. It was one of those "just one more chapter" books where you struggle to put it down once you start.

There were so many twists and turns and I correctly predicted none of them. Lucas was my favourite character.

Throughout the book you're slowly given bits of information that eventually all come together for a brilliant ending. I'd highly recommend this to anyone that likes a fast paced thriller that grips you from the get go!

This was a fast-paced, twisty read about a mother who turns up to pick her daughter up from college to find she isn't there, and hasn't been there for a while. Following her then trying to work out was has happened gave a well-plotted story that I recommend if you are in the mood for a book that will keep you gripped!

A new title from T.M Logan? Yes please.

The plot in this one follows Lauren in search of her missing daughter Evie who has seemingly just vanished from university. Some good twists and turns, a race against time and no one willing to help leaves Lauren and her young son Lucas the only ones searching for Evie.

This is probably my least favourite from this author of all the ones I’ve read but was still a good a thriller.

Many thanks to NetGalley, publisher and author for my eARC in exchange for my honest review.

My thanks to Bonnier Books UK, Zaffre and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read ‘The Daughter’ written by T M Logan in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Lauren Wingfield is collecting her daughter Evie from student accommodation at university so they can spend Christmas together with her twelve-year-old brother Lucas but when she arrives Evie is nowhere to be found and is told that Evie dropped out of education some months ago. Lauren knows that her daughter wouldn’t willingly take off without telling her first so she informs the police but they don’t seem to be interested so with the help of Lucas they start searching themselves.

‘The Daughter’ is a gripping thriller with a brilliantly conceived plot that’s so full of suspense, intrigue and unscrupulous characters that I’ve been glued to my Kindle unable to stop reading. A detailed report of what’s happened to Evie counts down from the nine months previously to the present time when Lauren discovers she’s disappeared. There’s a number of unbelievable twists that kept me gasping but none more so than the final one where I wasn’t sure if they were going to get out of their predicament unscathed. As I neared the final chapters I thought everyone was going to be safe but I was completely wrong and had to wait with baited breath until I reached the final page. This thriller is so exciting it’s definitely getting a massive five stars from me.

Lauren goes to pick up her daughter from uni only to find she's not there. This starts a rollercoaster ride that never let's up. Full of twists along the way and well drawn characters. This is one of my favourite books so far this year. Thanks to Bonnier books and Netgalley for this review ARC.

It's probably a bit weird to say T M Logan's books are a comfort read for me, but that's what they are. They never let me down. If I leave another book feeling disappointed and frustrated, I'll pick up a T M Logan as I know it will never disappoint. This sterling thriller was no exception.

In this book, T M Logan tackles one of my favourite tropes - the missing child. However, Evie's age, circumstances and strained relationship with her family put a unique twist on things, and suggest that she may not be missing, she may just not want to be found. Logan explores these two distinct possibilities, which adds to the suspense in the early part of the book.

As the story progresses, there is more darkness, violence and complications, until eventually we are transported into the glamorous yet dark and corrupt underbelly of London. What was Evie's place in, or connection to that world? I had no idea, but I was dying to find out.

Lauren was a tenacious character as a mother if a little easily influenced and foolish at times. I admired her determination to have her family reunited.

I gobbled this book up in 2 days (this is lightning speed for me) and found myself ignoring chores and even my own family because I simply could not put it down. It's the true definition of a page turner, where the twists and cliffhangers are carefully crafted. I've come to expect nothing but this level of excellence from T M Logan!

Although the storyline felt a little far-fetched and at times predictable, The Daughter was a really gripping read which I couldn’t put down!

It's just NOT possible to have a bad book from T.M.Logan!! This is another must read!
This book grabbed me from the start right until the very end.
To turn up at the Uni campus to collect your daughter and discover she's not there, no-one seems even knows who she is, how long has she been missing and where is she and where do you even start looking for someone who has been missing for weeks.
So many twists in this book to keep you gripped.

Thank you to Bonnier Books, Netgalley and T.M.Logan for an ARC in return for an honest review.

I make no secret of the fact that I am a huge fan of this author's books. I have read and enjoyed every single one and this, his latest, is no exception...
We start with Lauren who is on her way to collect her daughter Evie from university for the holidays. She arrives outside her door but is confused when her knock is answered by a male stranger who claims it is his room. Lauren checks the message where Evie told her where she was staying, but she is in the right place. So... where is Evie? Long story short and Lauren finds out that Evie is no longer studying at the uni, she also changed her emergency contact details to exclude her mum, something Lauren just can't understand given their relationship. So... where is she? And, more importantly, is she safe?
I loved this book. I whizzed through it in pretty much one sitting, only putting it down cos, you know, life! But I needed resolution. I had to know what was happening. It was that gripping.
As per all this author's books, it was everything I needed to make a good book a great read. Pacing matched the narrative all the way through and, without any unnecessary waffle or padding the story got on with itself very well indeed. Characterisation was top notch and it was easy to connect to pretty much all of them in one way or other. Especially Lucas although I am not 100% sold on the idea that Lauren would have dragged him along for what could have been a potentially dangerous ride...
And the story, as already mentioned, was gripping and held my attention nicely all the way through, spitting me out at the end exhausted but also wholly satisfied.
All in all, another cracking addition to and already well impressive back catalogue. Roll on next time. My thanks go to the Publisher and Netgalley for the chance to read this book.

Lauren heads to her daughter’s university, excited to pick Evie up for Christmas after ten long weeks apart. But when she arrives at Evie’s dorm, a stranger answers the door - someone who claims they’ve never even heard of her daughter.

Confused but convinced it must be a mix-up, Lauren checks and rechecks the details before turning to university admin for answers. Surely, Evie just changed rooms? But as the pieces refuse to fit, it becomes chillingly clear - Evie isn’t there. And she hasn’t been for some time. What follows is a desperate race against time to find her before the unthinkable happens.

This book gripped me from page one and never let up. The short, sharp chapters are packed with tension - I even caught myself skipping ahead to the last line of a page because I had to know what was coming next. I NEVER do that!

Told primarily from Lauren’s perspective, her fear and desperation are so vividly portrayed that they become almost unbearable. You feel her urgency, her dread, her unwavering determination to protect her daughter at all costs.

The characters are exceptionally well written - distinct, authentic, and compelling. I was rooting for Lauren every step of the way, just as much as I was hoping karma would catch up with the bad guys. Lauren is fierce, relentless, and exactly the kind of mother you’d want in your corner.

And that final twist? Oooft. Tim, you absolute rotter. I did NOT see that coming. Bravo.

If you love a tense, twisty, fast-paced thriller, this one needs to be on your list!

A huge thanks to Zaffre, NetGalley, and TM Logan for the advanced copy - all opinions are my own.

Rating - 3.5⭐️

Imagine going to collect your daughter from university, to bring her back for Christmas, only to find out she has disappeared me out a trace? The police won’t help, so you take matters into your own hands. How far will you go to find your daughter?

I really enjoyed this book, fast paced with multiple twists I did not see coming! We have a dual POV and timeline as we go between the mum in present to the daughter in past tense. The short chapters were a win and the multiple different aspects of this book kept you guessing until the end. I did find at times the book to feel a bit slower and felt very stagnant. I will be reading more form T M Logan!
