𝓛𝓲𝓿𝓮, 𝓡𝓪𝓷𝓬𝓱, 𝓛𝓸𝓿𝓮 by Emma Lucy

This was an unexpected arc that landed on my kindle and I am here for it. I adore me a cowboy romance and Emma did a fab job with this debut.

Rory has so much faith in herself and her vision and really she just needs the space of Sunset Ranch to be able to fulfil her own potential.

Wyatt needed Rory to come into his life. He needed her to show him that you can achieve whatever you put your mind too. That being said his unwavering support of Rory’s vision was a joy to read.

The two of them needed to find each other and Sunset Ranch was the perfect setting - I am not over the stable scene.

Overall this was a great debut and I am intrigued with what comes next in the Willow Ridge Series.

There's nothing quite like being back in your Cowboy Romance era and "Live, Ranch, Love" hit the spot.

Wellness influencer, Aurora is fresh off a bad breakup and has inherited her Great Aunt's ranch. Wyatt has been running Sunset Ranch and is not about to lose it to the sunshine British girl who plans to sell it.

The grumpy X sunshine pairing of Aurora and Wyatt worked really well. The initial comedy of Wyatt rolling his eyes at the concept of meditations, affirmations and vision boards turned into sweet and genuine character development. There was also a cast of side characters that I'm sure would make for a great interconnected series. The burn was slow, but when it did burn... 🔥

If you're looking for a Cowboy Romance hit, you're not going to go wrong with this one.

Thanks to Netgalley and HarperCollins UK for an ARC of "Live, Ranch, Love."

I really wanted to love this book but nothing really stuck out in this book. Sure, it was enemies-to-lovers(ish). Sure, it was grumpy x sunshine. Sure, it was a small town romance. But I guess nothing really stood out to me because the entire book felt a tad rushed.

The plot follows Aurora who is a British wellness/health influencer that flies to the US since her dead aunt left her the ranch when she died. Wyatt is the grumpy ranch manager who wants to keep his job and is annoyed the aunt left it to his niece. Aurora is running away from an ex who cheated on her (during her aunt's funeral). Wyatt has his own history of heartbreak. Aurora wants to bring money into the ranch since it's sorta failing at the ranching side of things and so she makes it into a wellness retreat center. It goes on from there.

I wish there was more back and forth banter between Aurora and Wyatt especially on the "enemies" side of things. I didn't feel like they were at each other's throats the way I thought they should've been (especially Wyatt!). And then everything went from zero to sixty in no time at all and they had epiphanies that seemed so quick (but also somewhat mature). But then the "twists" of the third act felt so juvenile and weird with the exes. I don't know. I really wanted to love this book but it fell just a tad short for me.

3/5 ⭐️ live ranch love is a cute small town romance.
Wyatt and Rory had some nice chemistry and a little enemies to lovers vibe at the begging. Looking forward to the next instalment.

Live, Ranch, Love is a cute, spicy, quick read and further proves that all I want is a ranch and a grumpy, tattooed cowboy.

I love grumpy vs sunshine and small town romances. I hope there are more books to come following the lives of the other characters (I’m calling it now that Cherry and Duke are meant for each other!) as I’d love to read more about Willow Ridge and its inhabitants.

The story felt a little rushed for me, I’d have liked a bit more depth to the ‘enemies to lovers’ trope, we could have had a lot more fun there in Rory and Wyatt trying to derail one another’s plans for the ranch. I also thought the third act ‘twists’ were a little clumsy and juvenile but it didn’t spoil my overall enjoyment of the book.

A lovely debut from Emma Lucy and thank you to the author, HarperCollins UK and NetGalley for the eARC!

whilst this isn't the worst book I've ever read, it also wasn't great. There definitely were some good bits.
please can we leave men who punch holes in walls and women who constantly mention how tiny they are behind please.

This is the first book in the Willow Ridge series and I cannot wait to see where the author goes with the other books but I already know that I am going to be hooked! This was such a quick and easy read, one that I swept through in one sitting, and if you’re a fan of Elsie Silver or Lyla Sage then this one will DEFINITELY be a must read!
Its full to the brim with;
- hot broody cowboys
- enemies to lovers
- life lessons
- dramatic ex’s trying to ruin everything
- small town life
- forced proximity
- touch her and die

Honestly couldn’t get over just how good this was, but it was such a lovable romance book full of the most intriguing and ‘real’ characters. It was super cool seeing just how fleshed out all of the secondary characters were too, how each of them had their own distinct personality, and I am 10000000% rooting that each of his best friends (especially Duke) will get their own story in the future BECAUSE I NEED TO SEE MORE OF THEIR FRIENDSHIP DYNAMIC OK?

The slow burn, enemies to lovers type of thing that Aurora and Wyatt had going on was so much fun to read. It was pretty obvious the whole way through that they were trying to fight their attraction to each other, but my god seeing them give into what they wanted was the best!!! It was just so obvious that they really had feelings for each other, and even more special that they had really taken the time to get to know each other, respect each other, and slowly open up to each other about all of the things in their lives that made their inevitable romance that much sweeter.

Honourable mentions;
- Aurora kissing Wyatt for the first time in the bar because his ex girlfriend showed up and was being horrible.
- Wyatt punching Aurora’s ex in the face the first time they met.
- Aurora calling Wyatts dad out on his foul behaviour and being on Wyatts side before they were even in a relationship.
- Wyatts obsession with her workout clothes.

Seriously this was such a cute and fun cowboy / small town book, and I can’t wait to see what happens with the other books in the series because I know they’re going to be amazing!!

Live, Ranch, Love the first book in willow ridge series by Emma Lucy and such it’s such a brilliant debut (if I had found this in a bookshop I would have no idea it was this authors first book!) If you have a chestnut springs hole in your heart this is going to fill it!

The small town vibes of Sunset ranch are gorgeous. Book me a plane ticket for horse riding and lake swimming right away please!

📖Read this if you love:

-Enemies to lovers
-Grumpy x sunshine
-Slow burn
-Small town romance
Forced proximity

I loved both the FMC & the MMC, Aurora was such an inspirational character and I found her so fun and up-lifting.
Wyatt was such a cute grump and it was great to see him flip to being obsessed with Rory and really made an effort to align himself with her lifestyle. The yoga and the vision board 🥹 how two completely different people manage to complement each other so perfectly is a great testament to the writing!

The spice was spiiiiicing, it was very hot, perfect if you’re after some summer sauciness!!
I flew through it, it was so readable and very addictive.

I wish you all the success Emma!! Plus I can’t wait for book two!

This book is such a beautiful attempt for a debut with so many of my favourite tropes and aesthetics but also about a fictional man who didn't shy away from his feelings and was willing to own it up.

This book was fun in all the good ways and I enjoyed the vibe Emma tried to set.

This was such a cute cowboy romance. I loved the characters of Rory and Wyatt and greatly enjoyed their chemistry. It was fun sort of seeing this free spirit fall
For this rugged country boy and vice versa. The novel was well paced, romantic, and fun all at the same time. It had great writing style and likable characters tears. The setting was beauty as well. I highly enjoyed this one and look forward to hearing more from this author in the future.

Is there anything better than a series of connected small-town cowboy romances? I think not! Aurora and Wyatt were an amazing first couple in the Willow Ridge series, and it set the scene so well for future books! The side characters are all interesting and I can't wait for their stories.

Live, Ranch, Love was comforting and fun, with the perfect balance of sweet and spice! I completely binged it and am so excited for the sequels!

I did enjoy this book, but unfortunately I didn’t LOVE it. Going into this I was really excited as the plot and the mentioned tropes were right up my alley.. 🤭 The chemistry between the two main characters felt a little forced to me from time to time?! Also the side characters or the lack there of were a bit disappointing - one thing I love most about about small town romances are the quirky town characters. Sadly I was missing this here.

I’d still recommend this book to anyone who likes cowboy romances! Like I said I enjoyed and liked this book, but something was missing for me to love it.

Well this was a super cute debut novel.

It’s no secret that I’ve become obsessed with Ranch/ cowboy romances so when I saw this book was releasing, I had to check it out!

I really enjoyed this book. It had a strong storyline and I loved the main characters so much! You could tell that Rory and Wyatt were obsessed with each other from the first glance and it was so fun reading about the push and pull between them!

I wish I could have read more about the ranch being rebuilt/ updated for the retreat. It was kinda written about it being started and then suddenly, it was finished. It definitely could have done with some more information in between!

There was also a couple of super cringe scenes within the book which could 100% have been left out!

It was a cute romance, a grumpy cowboy and a small town romance will always draw me in.

Rory is a wellness and positivity influencer, who after being cheated on decides to escape to Colorado, to a ranch her late great-aunt left her. Struggling to find her inspiration, she thinks being on the ranch and fixing it up to sell, will help her find it again. What she doesn't expect is to butt heads with the head rancher, who doesn't exactly like her. Wyatt loves the ranch and struggles with the thought of having to leave.
But they will discover they have more in common than they thought when Rory comes up with a plan that will give both of them what they want. A plan that will have them working together, which will make it hard for them to deny their attraction for long.

While I did find the romance amazing at times, I also found it lacking. I wish we got more banter, their dislike of each other seemed to fizzle out far too quickly and their connection did seem forced at times.
That conflict at the end was honestly too much and completely unnecessary, it took away from the story. I really don't understand why authors do this, it ruins the story when they introduce drama just for the sake of it.

I also didn't expect so much motivational speaking and quotes, I didn't really like that, but that's a me problem.

All in all, I genuinely liked the small town vibe and Wyatt's friends and sister. I'm really looking forward to reading their stories. Especially if Cheryl is going to end up with who I think she will. Can't wait to find out.

Firstly, thank you so much to HarperCollins & Netgalley for allowing me to read an eARC in exchange for honest feedback.

I really wanted to love this & it started off strong, but I found there was a lot of repetition (strawberry lips & the mention of Rory being British were both used waaay too much...by the end, the repetition started to irritate me a bit) and some chapters felt really rushed. An example would be (this isn't a spoiler) Rory wanted to sell the Ranch but a guy she's just met tells her not to and she listens, despite being dead set on it... okay, haha!

Wyatt went from hating Rory to all of a sudden swooning for her & it felt like we missed a good chunk of the build up. I couldn't fully click with either character either which was a shame.

It wasn't all negative though because the spice was fab... It definitely delivered!🌶🥵

For the Epilogue, a wee '??? months / year(s) later' would be good, just to make it clear how long has passed.

Overall, I'd rate it 3 stars as unfortunately there was just something lacking for me. I would continue the series though as Rory & Wyatt's story just may not be for me.

Emma, i am so stinking proud of you 🥹 from becoming friends over on booksta to talking about writing our own stories to holding a physical copy of your book in my hands. i am forever proud

this is a very very strong debut novel. it has every aspect a reader dreams of. it has romance, small town, spice, cowboys, drama, longing, found family, and just down right love.

the characters were all extremely lovable and i honestly can’t wait for the other characters books. but wyatt and aurora? ugh perfection.

i adored the storyline too, i mean influencer come to sell a ranch but ends up creating a retreat for wellbeing and relaxation and falling in love with the grumpy ranch hand? who doesn’t want that in their lives

i got in a slump half way through and i didn’t pick the book up for around two weeks but that has nothing on the book because once i picked it back up? i sailed through like it was nothing and i thoroughly enjoyed it.

Thank you so much to Harper Collins for sending me this proof copy!

Live, Ranch, Love follows Rory and Wyatt as they navigate their new 'buisness partnership' and there developing feeling for one another. My only complaint is that Wyatt went from a grumpy cowboy to obsessed and sweet a bit quickly for my taste but other than that I really enjoyed the book, it had the perfect setting too and the writing made me feel like I was right there with them. Highly recommend to any cowboy romance lovers out there.

A cowboy romance just hits!! This book was amazing! I loved the chemistry between the characters. It was more of a dislike to lovers which worked well in the story! They had chemistry and banter plus Wyatt had a bit of a brooding side!

The small town vibes were great and I cannot wait to see if the other people in Aurora’s and Wyatt’s circle get their own story.

Rounded up to 4 on Goodreads.

This was cute cowboy romance, very cliche and there wasn’t anything in particular that made it stand out. I read this book really fast so that a compliment to the author writing!

The 3rd act conflict/breakup and then the ending just felt incredibly rushed. Also the amount of times that we’re told that our FMC was British or had a British accent was enough to have me rolling my eyes! Especially when it’s apparent that the author meant an RP English accent which further perpetuates the stereotype that all British people have this same accent which is simply not true! In my opinion, it’s lazy writing.

Overall, if you’re looking for a quick, fun cowboy romance then this will fill a hole but it won’t have any lasting impact.

I received an ARC from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you!
